The customer service here is lacking what it used to be when the older associates were working here, now it’s these younger males who treat you as an inconvenience and don’t want you shopping here. It’s really sad how awkward they make my husband feel when he comes in twice a month for supplies. We drive pretty far to get to this store and if I could find the things I need somewhere else, even if it were farther I would just to avoid spending my hard earned money here. I’ve noticed them treat other customers with respect so my only guess is they aren’t to kind to any minorities shopping in their store. My husband is very kind and friendly so I don’t understand why he wouldn’t receive the same back when spending his hard earned money with uncle Luke’s. I’ve recorded our last encounter with them and I’ve posted it just to get others opinions because I truly want to know what it is. I hope you can learn to treat everyone with kindness and respect no matter what race your customers are. The world an evil place already, why not be the change we need.

This is a great store. The rates were reasonable, quality looks great, staff is very knowledgeable and helpful.I needed some supplies for my container garden. I had a lot of questions about what container sizes to use, what plants would grow well in shade, what potting mix to use.. They answered all my question. They had a lot of variety in seeds and plants and potting mixes. Outdoors they have a nursery with sections for herbs, vegetables, flowers and peppers!

Love this place! Love that it's local. My wife and I have been purchasing chicken feed form here for a while. We recently adopted a white german shepherd puppy named Zelda and now purchase her dog food here. Alex and the staff were great at getting us the right hard and soft food at a great price. Thanks for the help! Would recommend 😊

As a country girl living in the big ol’ city (Detroit), Uncle Luke’s feels and smells like the feed stores of my childhood. I go for the straw bales and seed garlic, then load up on cider, eggs, and whatever else is rattling around. “Customer service” is a little gruff but that’s the way I like it/ that’s how I remember it from every feed store in every county in the Midwest. Perfect. Don’t change a thing.

Great quality selection of pet and bird food and related supplies at a reasonable price. Some seasonal gardening items are available as well. Service is excellent, with the employees giving advice and helping you load items into your vehicle. This place is a throwback to the old way of doing business that most people would like to see more often.

Extremely helpful staff! I walked in and was immediately greeted by smiling, helpful faces. They took care of getting me exactly what I was looking for and even loaded it in my vehicle for me! Will definitely be back. This place has everything you could possibly need and more!

Great feed store. Reasonable prices on black oil sunflower seed and critter food. The young guys even carried it out to my car. Gosh, do I look that old? 😁 Didn't have time to look around but I bet they have whatever you need. Wish they were closer to home.

Always have critter feed for my yard variety of varmints and birds. Prices seem good to me. Most supplies are enough for about 6-8 weeks.

I usually like going toLuke’s but today I was so irritated! I’ve been buying 1000 live mealworms for my bluebirds which cost a bit over $9. Today I went in and they didn’t have the 1000 pages up, so they gave me two 500 count containers. I asked if the price was the same? The guy said I fortunately it’s two dollars more, I said “whatever” and paid after I left I reclaimed it was $2 more EACH container! So I paid an extra $4 for the same amount of worms!

I cannot give a higher praise! Fantastic customer service in a safe masked environment safe for the elderly and those with disabilities This place is awesome has everything you could ask for with service to match, if they don't have your product they are open to order it at a fair price so call ahead they are happy to help. But even a step further they carry a variety of great priced Michigan and USA made products. Honestly I will be returning. They carry full size bails of straw 7$ at the time I purchased, not those small bails that their larger competition sells for a higher price. But wait there is more! They have an exceptionally docile and friendly elderly rescue dog who helps welcome you and will even keep you company as you shop. Healthy variety of dog treats with great ingredients and new brands my dogs loved. Honestly if you've you are still reading go try them already you won't regret it, he is honest and will not give you the run around or try to sell you stuff you aren't looking for just an awesome no frills store that will not disappoint I guarantee it.

Great place with knowledgeable staff! Get Christmas trees, wreaths, pumpkins all your spring plants for garden and flower beds! Everything for lawn care and fruits and veggies in season from local farmers! Plus eggs!! Also bales of straw and hay!

A hidden gem! They had what I needed for my lawn and garden projects. I honestly wasn't expecting much from a small establishment but this place really delivers. For my invasive ground cover problem they suggested one of a dozen different liquid and granular solutions. They suggested a decent shade mix grass seed for my back lawn. I was going to check out after getting those two things but noticed, after a quick look at the plant selection, that they have 2X to 3X the selection of herbs I found at either English Gardens or Home Depot this year! They will be my first stop next year and in the fall.

Fantastic family run business. Advice is freely given and loading your car is part of the service - not extra. Customers are valued by management/staff just as much as advice/knowledge is from friendly welcoming staff. Went here to get bird food for outdoor birds in winter and came away with a large bag of what they recommended.I saw a large range of products suitable for organic vegetable growing. I'm told they are super busy in the spring with plants etc

Excellent Customer Service. We stop by regularly whenever we need bird seed or during planting season. The employees are friendly and eager to help out, always right there when you need them. They offer a wide range of lawn, garden and pet supplies at pretty reasonable prices, particularly on the wild bird seed. Highly recommended.

Not sure why this is listed as a pet supply store, when it's also a great store for gardeners. They offer both organic brands like High Mowing seeds, as well as repackaged bulk seed at very good prices, and in some cases larger quantities. There are also many varieties of seed potatoes. Good basic selection of annual flowers and vegetable plants at reasonable prices. Knowledgeable staff! I've been shopping here for several years and never had a bad experience. I recommend it to all my gardening friends!

I have lived in Troy my whole life and today was my first time at Luke's Feed Store. Great prices and everyone was very nice. I will return for my gardening needs. I bought plants for my garden this year and plan to purchase fertilizer and dog food from here in the future.

My husband and I love this place. They are always so nice and fun. They always have what we need and if they don't, they order and have it in within a couple days. They sell all kinds of dog food and treats... they also have a great selection on seeds for gardening.

Wow!!!Amazing selection. Down to earth and knowledgeable staff.And the prices!!! Seriously. My wife and I have gone other places and spect 3 times the amount on bird and critter feed. We bought 2, 40 lb bags of bird feed, a 40lb bag of sunflower seed feed, a 5 lb bag of critter, and some stuff for our daughters guinea pig. Total- $55.00.We nearly fell over. This will be the only place we purchase food for our back yard visitors from now on.What a awesome surprise.

Uncle Luke's is a rare gem. This place offers products that you won't find anywhere else. I go there for seed starting supplies and soil amendments for my veggie garden. The staff is friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to make your experience a good one. Forget the big box stores, Uncle Luke's has my business. They've certainly earned it!
