The winery is beautifully situated next to the lake, offering not only delightful wines but also the opportunity to indulge in your wine while seated amidst the vineyard.

We visited today as part of the winter wine pass in TC. This was easily the worst winery on the stop, as you cannot choose your tastings, but they have pre-chosen flights. When a manager stopped by and asked how everything was, I gave my opinion that flights should be chosen by the customer with the hopes of buying a bottle based on their taste. She responded "well we can't please everyone". This winery gave me the only negative experience in the many years we have been coming to the city, plus the wine was horrible... but that might be because they chose the wines for us.

Visited one of our previous favorite wineries today and we were quite disappointed. We could not get a flight of choice and the least expensive flight was 28 dollars. The server literally sat with her face in her computer at a short distance from us. It was quite uncomfortable and I missed the atmosphere we had previously had and the conversation you look for when visiting establishments like that! Will not be back and that makes me sad!

This is my favorite winery in Northern MI. Not only is it a relaxing, family oriented winery with amazing views but the wine is spectacular! I love the Pinot Blanc, Brut Rose and Cab Franc. You can tell they focus on quality with every bottle. The wine club is great for locals and people from out of town, the diverse community gatherings at Bowers are always a blast!

Selection is great, but good luck if you’re not a member. We came here for a tasting and received such horrible service because we were not members. They made it extremely clear to us that if we were not members, we had to sit outside (in freezing snow weather instead of inside).

This has been our favorite winery in TC for a long time now. We love the very personal touch this place has. It doesn’t have the awesome lake view some of the others do, but it does offer great views of the vines and the whole property, the way the staff acts and treats patrons almost feels as if you are all part of a family. Very knowledgeable folks, extremely friendly, prices are great, and they have so many options as to where you can hang out. There are tents, a covered patio, a fireplace, tables right between the vines. We have seen live acoustic music there a number of times. The overall feeling here is just so unique, much more personal and less artificial than at some of the other “fancy” wineries.

Amazing selection of reds and whites and hands down the best spot in traverse for ciders. Dog friendly and with multiple open seating spots throughout the vineyard to enjoy your tastings year round among the grapesA must stop on your vineyards tour of the peninsula

I stopped in with a friend to sample their wines and ciders. I tried their blackberry, blueberry, and peach ciders, all of which were excellent. I also had a small glass of their Blanc de Blanc sparkling wine and it was very nice; it was slightly dry with a bit of an apple and bread taste. The view out the windows was nice to take in too. It’s dog friendly too, so it’s a nice thing if you have your pet with you.

Cider was tasty, wine unremarkable. Took a photo of my cider tasting flight. For $12 you get three ridiculously small tastes of cider. Opt for a regular glass instead. Liked the blueberry best.

If you are looking for a beautiful vineyard that has impeccable views, a great selection of wine, great seating, dog friendly, and pretty venue this is the place for you! Highly recommend especially if you have a doggo. Make sure you make a reservation over the weekend because it is busy!We stopped here by chance on our northern Michigan road trip and happened to Google the area we were in and this place popped up.If you’re looking for more tips, tricks and travel inspiration, visit navigatornick.com

Refused to serve us because we were laughing. We had a driver and were hoping to have flight. We even showed them we had a driver. They were pretentious and rude. Other tables enjoyed our company. I have been there before however will never go there again.

Beautiful Vineyard. Wide selection of beverages. They have accommodations for any group size. We decided to stand between the Vineyard at a wine barrel and it was perfect. The shelter for making your selection was heated and the bartender was very helpful with making your selection. We were here in Sept with a rare 52 degree week. I couldn't imagine how amazing it would be mid summer or early spring or fall

4 of us where on a girl's trip WITH a driver and they would not serve us because "she is obviously over serviced and we don't want to lose our license". "she" WAS NOT EVEN DRUNK, NONE OF US WERE DRUNK!! I WILL NEVER GO BACK!!They made us drink water before we could order but wouldn't let us order.AGAIN, I WILL NOT GO BACK!!

Bowers Harbor is always a must when we visit wineries in the Traverse City area. We are Wine Club members, and the perks are hands down the best. They have fantastic wines for everyone, whether you're a wine novice or wine connoisseur. I really appreciate the separate tasting area for groups/tours. Never have to wait to taste. Beautiful venue throughout the year.

Large wine flights. Found a wine i haven’t heard of Smokey Hollow Gertz vernier, it was good surprise! Reason for 4 stars is a felt their wasn’t a good set up for getting the wine/ tasting area like many of the other places in the area. Basically order it and go find. a space to sit quickly.

This was our favorite of the wine tour. Best atmosphere and wine/ciders. Tasting was $5 and you got to keep a nice glass. We enjoyed everything we tasted and the blackberry cider was wonderful.

Smaller winery with a great atmosphere with tables in the vineyard. Very laid-back, relaxed environment with kind and knowledgeable staff. They offered set flights or glasses of wine/cider. The flights had generous pours and we tried the Harvest Flight which was very light and fruity and the Cider Flight which was delicious. Absolutely loved the blackberry cider. Definitely a great spot to end the day!

Most of the vineyards on Old Mission have changed the way they do wine tastings. They now do wine "flights" and they are way more expensive! This location would at least allow you to try up to 5 wines in a flight. Most of tge other locations were doing only tastings of 3. I would also highly recommend going on a weekday or getting a reservation for a group of 4 or larger to avoid long waits. However, they had some of the best wine we've had on our trip this year. We have been doing annual wine tasting for over 11 years and this is the first time we've been inclined to join the wine club. The staff here were great and we had a great time at this location. The wine at this location was also so tasty that after tasting 5 different wines, we stayed for an additional glass of wine each. I highly recommend going to this location!

Cant say enough great things about this winery. It’s my absolute favorite. The scenery and grounds are beautiful, the staff is wonderful and the wine is amazing. The selection is so vast and diverse. From ciders to champagnes, reds and even Gewurztraminer they literally have it all. A must visit!

The winery is beautiful and the staff is wonderful! As the DD of our group, I was able to be part of the tasting experience with their non-alcoholic Wagoneer flight, which was great! Will definitely be coming back!

This used to be our favorite winery on the peninsula. The place is advertised as “dog friendly” with the caveat that dogs need to be leashed at all times. While enjoying our flights at a secluded table near the vineyard, the winery owners walked up with their UNLEASHED poodle mix dogs. Still having control of my LEASHED not super dog friendly dog, one of their dogs came barreling toward us with the owner having zero recall and zero concern for hers or my dog’s well-being. We had been to multiple dog friendly wineries by this point of our trip with no issues until our unfortunate decision to go back to Bower’s. DO NOT have your winery labeled as “dog friendly” if you will not follow your own rules. Such a shame as the service was impeccable and drinks delicious. We will never be back.

Fell in love with Bowers 10 years ago when my best friend and I had one of our first ever wine tastings there and we got to meet the dogs..fast forward to now and this was part of a business trip I came on and we had the most fun here! The outdoor covered and open seating was nice, Cornhole boards, traveling flight hangers to carry your glasses, and of course yummy wine. I always tell people to make sure this is one of their stops if they come up Mission peninsula.

Loved this place! We came here in a 14 person tour and their staff welcomed us with open arms! We had our own picnic table ready for us when we got there. We immediately started our tasting and our guide was so nice with quite generous pours. One thing I noticed about this vineyard were the tables placed between vines so you can really eat and drink in the middle of it all, which gave you a truly unique experience. I loved their blueberry and peach cider combo, and had to take some home!

We Love Bowers Harbor! We especially love going for the cider! The New Grapefruit Cider is beyond amazing. They allow dogs which is hard to find in this area. Remington (our dog) loves all the attention from the employees and other customers. The employees are very intelligent on what they are selling which is a huge benefit!@remdoggoldenboy

I only tried the red wines, they were all ok, service was, ok. Dropped a star for being a little pricey, dropped another star for not accepting legal tender, they are card only. In fact, this will keep us from recommending or returning, not accepting cash.

This was my 2nd time here on a wine tour and it was such a disappointment. I was bragging this place up our entire way there since it was my favorite stop a few years back. Wow, did I ever eat my words! Our wine tour bus showed up only to find out we weren’t allowed inside. They made us go around back to order, from 2 people unenthused about our arrival, who directed us to go sit in a cold tent once we chose our $25 flight. So you’re carrying these heavy, bulky tasting trees, to a plastic tent with no heat, dirty tables, and a piece of paper with minimal wine info. There’s no presentation about the wines, no history of the place, no cozy cup of relaxing wine, not even anyone to talk to who actually wanted us there. Needless to say, our tour bus driver found us an extra stop on our tour because all of us were ready to go after only 20 minutes, and none of us felt welcome or comfortable there. I sincerely hope this place turns it around because it used to be a really lovely wine destination

Wine was pretty good. I used to like the winery but it has definitely changed for the worse. I suppose it is trying to cater to people who just taste their wine and don't buy bottles, but I just no longer enjoy it. It used to have a friendly small winery feel, now it seems very up tight. Flights were $26 dollars and up. Hard to even buy a bottle. There are at least 20 wineries better in the area.
