A glass pane on the side door of my garage broke. Found out they repair glass and screens when I went in to get plywood to cover the broken window. They were able to replace the glass with plexiglass (which allowed me to avoid the 2 week wait time to order custom glass due to the shape of the windows) and I had it back in a day. Definitely a great local business worthy of your support.

Probably my favorite store in town, they have anything that you would need for a great price! Not only do they have all of your wood needs, but they've got all your hardware and home repair/renovation needs as well. The staff are very knowledgably and helpful, always a pleasant visit!

Amazing customer service. I came in with a sprocket for my motorcycle with a bolt snapped off in it and they got it out for me. These guys go above and beyond to make sure you get the help you need. Would recommend to anyone 10/10!

Rude! Rude! Rude! Rented a piece of machinery... was not given any instructions as how to use it. Got home and had some problems figuring it out, so I called to ask if they could trouble-shoot over there phone. He was so put out by my calling, he immediately raised his voice and interrupted me saying how busy they were and he didn't have time to explain anything, and I should bring it back. I said I could, but it was kind of heavy to just throw back into the car, and I asked again if he could just talk me thru it. He snapped back and said he'd just send someone out to check the equipment because I "obviously didn't know what I was doing." I was shocked to be spoken to in that tone, but grateful someone was coming to help. When he arrived, I thanked them right away for taking the time to help, but he instantly started to accuse me of not knowing what I was doing and wasting their time. Before looking at it, he said we flooded the machine... they checked, it was not flooded. He was able to start it after checking a few other things and told me it was an "operator issue." He raised his voice and used such a sarcastic tone with me, again going on about how I had no business calling them and wasting their time... yelling at me and talking down to me in my own backyard! They don't have to worry about me calling ever again. I'll drive to Adrian from now on. What a rude and stressed out man... (the kid he brought with him to help was even embarrassed by his attitude toward me and my son.) Completely unacceptable way to treat a paying customer of 15 years.

This was exactly the hardware store I was missing before I moved to Tecumseh in 2017. As luck would have it, Tecumseh Plywood is right around the block from me, and I joke that I should have a frequent visitor punchcard.ProsThe staff is super knowledgeable. They're often willing to go out of their way to share their expertise or opinions.95% of the time they have what I need and more. The important part is that they have no ego about it when they don't.I love the nostalgia of being there compared to the Big Box stores.The store may be smaller, but they have the right stuff for each department: tools/hardware, paint, electrical/lighting, plumbing.They have a modest outdoor section that is always a good first place for me to check before driving to Adrian.ConsPersonalities. I get along with all-comers. There are great, friendly guys there, and there are classic curmudgeons, too. I can see how they'd rub some people the wrong way.Some of the lumber isn't the greatest and depends on the luck of the shipment.Their rental equipment can be old and worn.There are sections of the store that look like they haven't been touched since 1982. Nostalgia is one thing, but yikes. Use that space better!I take the good with the scruffy with a small town hardware store. It's the personality of the store for me, and I'm so glad to have them in my back yard.

Every time I go here I never have anyone asked me if I need help. today was a prime example I had to ask someone where something was. there is no friendly service. I was treated like I was an idiot for not knowing where things were. then I finally stand in line to cash out where someone there before me didn't know where to locate things and was helped out unlike myself. So I stood in line patiently waiting while another gentleman working there, talked to his friend on the side instead of helping Cash out people in line for about 30 minutes. finally another lady got in line behind me that had not been there near as long as me whatsoever. the guy helping the older lady in front of me proceeded to ask, if the woman behind me was ready to cash out as if I did not exist and wasn't standing there waiting in line for the same. it wasn't till the guy standing to the side talking to his friend seen my frustration and finally decided to come over and asked if I needed help, because I've been standing there for about 30 minutes. didn't even get a have a good day or sorry for your Wait nothing! horrible place I'll be going to Lowe's from now on I wish I could rate them zero Stars.

This store is the best stocked, friendly, privately owned lumber yard, hardware store you will ever find. The employees are there to help you and they are extremely knowledgeable. The prices are fair and the selection is amazing.

I will never shop here ever again! 3 bad experiences. First I had someone scheduled to come out a few years back to give me a quote on screening in a porch and never showed up or called. Next I took some windows in to have the screens fixed and they lost them. The last was a phone call about ordering a entry door and the guy was RUDE. We were on a 3 way call and my husband was Telling him some information, and the guy literally said “I really don’t care, it’s been one of those days”! ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Never will shop there ever again and will tell everyone I know to never shop there! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!!

I will no longer be shopping here since the service has gotten so badly. No employee ever has once in the past three years asked if I was finding everything okay or if I had found everything okay.Today when in I was checking out after hunting down what I needed the man at the register looked at me, saying nothing pointed to the register next to him. When I asked if we wanted me to go to that register he nodded and said yes with a heavy attitude. He then proceeded to say nothing to me while ringing me out before walking away mid transaction to grab the receipt, returning and simply dropping the receipt on the table and walking away without saying anything.I was very disappointed in the service I received here and have received lately. It is a shame to see a company that was once incredibly helpful hindered by rude people. There are a few nicer employees there but I do not go to a store for quality service that depends on one employee out of however many. I can do that at any store.

Not bad for a small town hardware. So far I have not ran into anything they do not sell that I needed. There used to be a hardware across the street from them I went to there because plywood was closed wish they had longer hours though. Plywood is by far the best in the area! Fair prices, great customer service, decent selection. This is coming from someone who has been in the construction business for 20 years and sometimes when you are working on a job having somewhere to get your supplies without having to drive to a major city saves time and money. Great job plywood

Went in for some particular screws - didn't have exactly what I needed, but a younger employee was very helpful in helping me find something that would be the best alternative (torx vs. Phillips), and he even threw in a heavy duty bit that would fit what I bought.

Wish i lived closer to Tecumseh as this place is amazing. So friendly, so clean and what a variety of just about everything. I spent an hour just wandering through the store and I probably didn't cover it all. Love it.

BEST SERVICE AROUND. I love these guys. I built a huge, elevated planting box by myself this summer, and the guys at Tecumseh Plywood helped me make it happen. I think it's important to state that they aren't misogynistic at ALL when it comes to their female customers. As a woman do-it-yourself-er, I feel welcome and respected, just like one of the guys. THANKS to all of you at Plywood for your excellent service!

Always try to support local and have had some good experiences here but I rented a generator when my house lost power. It ran for about 10-15 mins and kept cutting out with and without load. I used to work on large generators back in the day and this one clearly had fuel issues. Being as it was past hours of operation I went and paid over 1k for a new one with 4+ hours wasted doing so. Then got changed for renting the pos because it started and ran in the back, for a short time which didn't have a chance to warm up completely (which is when it wouldn't stay running). This place has changed from the small town feel and helpfulness to operating like big business. Will have to evaluate future business transactions and that's sad because I liked this coming here. Picture is of the new generator due to skeptical employees making snarky remarks without prior dealings with me personally.

The thing I love about Tecumseh Plywood is that these guys know what they are doing. I can't tell you how many times I've been to larger corporate type stores to pick up some things for a project and also asked for advice only to be left high and dry. Tecumseh Plywood not only has the items you need for your DYI or home repair projects, the have the advice and knowledge you need and they gladly share that with you.
