Absolutely hands down the best saltwater store for livestock I have been to since I started the hobby!! This place is about an hour and a half from us so this was our first time making it out there, we usually just stick to our small small LFS, this place is the definition of don’t judge a book by its cover! The outside makes you think you’re at the wrong place and it’s somebody’s house but inside it’s beautiful! So many different Tyler’s of corals and fish high and low end! Super helpful staff, very friendly! Something I realized is they kind of make their prices up along the way as you ask, for me I made out for sure but my boyfriend that was with my did end up paying like $5 extra for one of the same things I got which I’m not mad about it’s $5 but I think pricing should definitely be added and not just made up in the moment! Other than that this like I said was the best place I’ve been to so far!

Probably the best aquatic store I've been to. Owners were crazy knowledgeable. Lots and lots to see. We bought a lot of coral. Sadly lost a 150 dollar hammer within 24 hours. But would still go back and purchase more.

Always love coming here. I learn a lot about different species of fish and enjoy conversations with Ray. His fish are always healthy and happy. Great human either a wealth of knowledge. Highly recommend!! My FAVORITE place for anything fish related!

First time visiting the store today. Ray is a fantastic guy with a huge personality and a great love for all animals!! This is not your average reef shop at all, all the fish were well taken care of and all the coral were happy and healthy. This is definitely my new favorite place!! I can't wait to visit again!! Thank you for the wonderful experience

They had everything we needed to start our salt water tank .All the fish are so beautiful I love all the different colors ,shapes and sizes of the fish . Cam was very knowledgeable and very nice to talk to . Can't wait to get it up and running and go back and get some fish.à

This is an interesting place all the way around. It's a private residence with a huge aquarium shop built off the back. They have HUGE "ponds" inside with TONS of live rock.... the most I've ever seen. Check out the fish that are in these ponds...AWESOME! So, the one thing I noticed is they don't run their systems on sumps. It's all biological filtration from years of operating established tanks. They have an awesome assortment of beautiful fish. The place is dated, but efficient. Helpful staff and just an interesting place all the way around. Update. Visited again on 01/27/2024 I still feel the same as this initial review several years ago.

Great coral selection. They have some really large bamboo sharks that are fun to watch, too! Worth a stop if you're in the area.

Great place for saltwater aquarium livestock. Ray and Brian are very knowledgeable. The largest saltwater place around well stocked,excellent fish,corals and invertebrates. Not to mention the sharks they breed there as well

Best shop for marine livestock hands down!! I travel over 40 miles to get there and would travel another 100 plus just for the quality, care, and knowledge. Ray runs a one of a kind shop and the healthiest fish, inverts, and coral I’ve ever seen, tank acclimated and most fish transitioned to accepting pellets (including copperbands and butterfly’s!) always reasonably priced. I’m well seasoned in reef keeping and I’m always surprised by something I’ve never seen before down at Tropicorium whether it’s in the green house pools, frag tanks, or display tanks down at Trop. A must visit for anyone of any skill level who enjoys the hobby

We use to go there 20-25 years ago and when you walked in it was like wow! So many neat animals to look at. Now the big table tanks are just rocks and a few large fish. The small holding tanks are always dirty. What a bummer, this place was somewhere to send your friends to check out.

Went to Tropicorium today as I’m new to the reef world. Don’t let the house look fool you. Actually go in there and see what they got. I walked in and was immediately greeted and asked if I needed any help looking for anything. As I’m new and had a hundred questions to ask they kindly answered all my questions and concerns and gave me the best advice going forward. This place has a bunch of exotic coral and fish I’ve never seen before even on YouTube. I left with 2 colorful mushroom frags for a steal of a price! Definitely recommend going here for your coral/fish needs

Let me be clear to start, I’m not one to write reviews for any businesses products etc.. unless they are in one of two extremes and I feel obligated. If I didn’t live an hour away this family owned fish store would get all of my business. Arguably some of the nicest, supportive and knowledgeable people I’ve ever come to meet in the saltwater game. Their prices are marked where they should be, anywhere from top of the line fish to beginner fish. They’ve got by far the largest selection of fish, corals, anemones, inverts of any store I’ve been to in the state. Definitely not my last time visiting this store, I’ll give them as much business as I can.

Such an amazing selection of saltwater fish and Corals.The frag tank is stuff with unique Corals that I have never seen before, and the full pieces on the rocks are super healthy and vibrant. The owner, I believe his name is Ray, and his staff are very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. This is my second time in this week and I may just come in again before the weeks end!

Five stars! I usually take into account a few things in reviewing a fish store.One, pricing, they have great pricing! Expect to pay “retail” or better on all coral and fish specimens. Sometimes things are a bit expensive here and sometimes they’re so cheap you can’t even help yourself! Blue Spot Jawfish, $125?! That’s half the price they are online! Awesome! However, many things are not for sale, which is a bit of an issue. You could also ask each worker “how much is this?” and you would get a different answer from any of them. Needs some work on pricing but otherwise pretty good.Two, selection. Tropicorium has everything you can think of and tons of it! Enough said.Three, conditions of the tanks. I don’t know what they put in their water but it’s magic! They’re the only store where I wouldn’t mind dumping the entire bag of water into my tank, lol. They have no algae anywhere, their tanks seem so cycled it’s like to ocean! Absolutely stunning.Finally, staff. They guys and gal(s) there are awesome! Especially the owner, I bought a specimen directly from him. Not only did he make sure I got something cool, but he instantly told me everything I needed to know about it. He is a real life “reef sensei”, the other workers are fun to talk to and very knowledgeable as well!Overall, I wrote a really long review because I think this place deserves it. Every time I am there and I purchase something, I feel like the item/fish/coral I got was a freebie that came with my ticket to the Toledo Zoo’s Aquarium. If that makes any sense, haha.

Hands down the best store I've been to. Ray and Bryan know the hobby so well I trust everything they recommend. It's not like a commercial store where they just sell you anything, if a fish won't be good in the tank you have they'll let you know. Even when I was looking at a couple hundred dollar fish. They're all about doing the right thing and making sure you have a great experience with your tank. I would recommend this store to anyone looking for anything. I'm glad I live close but I'd go there even if I lived far away.There's not enough good things to say the prices and inventory is great. I LOVE this place!

They seemed to have a large variety of salt water fish to choose from. I didn't see one sick or dead fish. The prices seemed fair. As my first time going their I was a little surprised that this store is attached to what appears to be a house. You go around the side and enter. This just seemed off to me, but once you're inside you first see a display of corals which are all nice. Then you walk around, what feels like a maze lol. The women owner was very kind.

I love this place so much. I recommend you to everybody Jeff and I will visit soon. Never want to leave your place. It's exciting to see the Beautiful corals and fish. My Cardinals are. PJ ones polka dot bottom. They only come out at night when lights are switched to soft. My PJ's are same color pink with black polka dots we match..lol
