Best Dog Groomers Around! Renee has been grooming my dog, Sammy, for about 2 years and she does such an amazing job each and every time! She goes from a stinky puppy to blueberry delight! Truly the best Dog Groomer I've ever met!

I have been taking my blind dog Sparky a Rat Terrier mix to Urban Dog for about 3 years now. Needless to say he needs extra care because he is blind. I noticed that the girls have been rubbing is belly because when he comes home he loves his belly rubbed now. When he gets in the car to get groomed he somehow knows that he is at the groomers and gets all excited to be there. I would ask how he is doing with his groomer because he is a special needs dog. They assured me he was getting the hang of coming in and out of his crate. He has his good and bad days so I wanted to make sure he was being good for the groomer too. I don’t want him biting anyone because he is blind. I take extra care at the vets office too to make sure he doesn’t bite anyone because he is blind and scared of his surroundings. They always are very nice and friendly upfront at the desk too. I used to drive 30 minutes to get him groomed by The Urban Dog because I trusted them with my dog. Now I live much closer so it is even better now only taking a few minutes to get him groomed. I showed my appreciation of them today with individual bunt cakes because they are so appreciated taking time out to make sure Sparky feels comfortable with them grooming him.

Just love this wonderful place! Our first time getting our precious Sadie groomed by Cate at her new location in Rochester. Well worth the drive from Clawson. She always takes such good care of our girl. 💖💖

Heather is a miracle groomer! Our golden retriever is prone to dreads. We have taken her to two other places, and they either don’t get all the knots out or they shave it so low that they aren’t able to shape her hair. Heather was able to cut out all her terrible knots without shaving, and shaped her hair so perfect! She looks like the cutest real life teddy bear. Plus they were extremely reasonably price for everything they did. We will be able to keep her hair up better now, but still can’t wait to take her back to Heather.

Terrible experience with grooming and still had to pay full price. I am all about supporting local businesses but will not be going back for anything.I was not aware of any issues with the dog not behaving as he has been to grooming many times just not at your location. I agree if I knew the dog behaved this way I would of let you know in advance unfortunately that was not the case. Again, as discussed on the phone you should of contacted us immediately rather that continuing to the point the dog is tramatized.

Super great experience! We have an elderly dog with some food sensitivity and health issues - the staff at urban dog is always so helpful at not only recommending products on the shelf but also researching other products on the marketing and special ordering them into the store. They have an extensive knowledge base on explaining ingredients and why you would choose one type of ingredient, fat or protein content over another. Highly recommend!

I have no words to express how wonderful this store is. I went in looking for soft treats for our chihuahua, Ollie for his last day on earth with us. I thought I was doing ok but as soon as I got in the store and explained what I was looking for I broke down in tears. The clerk not only helped me pick out the correct treats for our Ollie but then paid for it when I wasn’t looking! I have no words for the compassion and kindness he showed me that day. I will forever be a customer to The Urban Dog. They care about people and our fur families.Ollie loved the treats too. It was a perfect send off and The Urban Dog helped make an awful experience a little less awful. Thank you so incredibly much. I still have to tell the manager how amazing the staff is.

The Urban Dog has helped us immensely with our dog's chronic digestive problems. We spoke to Mark in regards to nutrition planning, after going over our dog's history he recommend a plan for us to follow. The change was almost immediate! We are three weeks into the plan now and he is having normal stools for the first time since we got him almost 6 months ago. The staff are also incredibly friendly every time we stop in. Highly recommend!

We recently switched our dog to raw food, and Mark (the owner) was a great help in navigating all the various options. He helped us find the right food when I was struggling to figure it out on my own. Check out the nutrition planning option on their website if you need help. They have all kinds of high quality food options, toys, etc. Everyone at the store is friendly and helpful!

We inherited my mother in laws border collie after she passed. Poor dog hadn’t been groomed in a couple of years and we were told she was afraid of groomers. Shannon did an excellent job and this beautiful dog is a happy princess. We will definitely be back

Came in and was immediately greeted by a very knowledgeable woman. Told her what I was looking for and she showed me exactly what I needed. I also needed dental bones for my pup but she’s finicky about treats. They gave me a sample for my puppy to try! Amazing!! Phoebe and I will be back, frequently!
