I never would have expected to find the BEST vet for cats in this area, yet here it is! RBCC is truly the best of the best. We brought our cat Gravy here to be neutered and treated for ear mites. We also have two younger kittens who needed medication for worms and mites. They worked within our budget to give us the most possible for Gravy and his friends back at home. 🐈‍⬛The care here is top notch, the environment is warm and welcoming, staff all remember you and keep it so professional. There are also resident cats that were there to greet us. We loved them! I truly cannot sing enough praise about this place. If you want to find the best care for your cat, do not look anywhere else. This is THE place.

I am so heartbroken to leave this practice! Dr.Anderson and her team are like no other. Truly such great customer service and warm, caring, professional medical care to my fur babies. I have only ever taken them to cat clinics because why stress them even more by dogs. And when moving back to Kzoo from GR and leaving our beloved cat clinic there, we were recommended to Dr.Anderson at Red Barn. Every visit made me feel like my cats were the only patients and only focus. Everything was always explained, treatment options given, questions always answered. Your cats health and wellbeing are really the priority here, they're not just a number, and the focus is not your wallet, like some places. When my youngest cat was having an asthma attack in the fall, they were even able to get us in the same day! Usually not the case at most vet offices. I also have boarded my cat here before due to her daily inhaler treatments which is an awesome option for cat lovers who are also vacation lovers.I'd recommend Red Barn to any cat owner and lover! Wish I could take this office with me to California.

If I could give 100/5 stars, I WOULD! There was a lump on my cat Smokey's chest (he's 9-gray cat pictured) and it ended up just being a fatty deposit (he's 16.5 lbs!) Everyone there was amazing! I was 1st greeted by the sweetest kitty (black kitty pic) and I was greeted by Dawn where she made me feel SO welcomed! We were put in a room right away. The room was amazing and so comfortable for a cat. Even though my fat boy still found odd spots to hide, it was such a great room for cats. They even turned the post in the room into a giant cat scratcher <3. There was a TV for cats too (with birds, mice, etc.)Dr. Cherie came in a few minutes later and allowed time for Smokey to get acclimated to the room and to her voice. She was so kind, gentle, patient and listened to my concerns. She was extremely knowledgeable. I can tell everyone there truly loves our feline friends. I HIGHLY recommend that if you have a cat, please go there! The price was so reasonable too and they got me in quicker than any vet around here.If you're asking if you should switch. SWITCH. I promise you won't regret it. I won't go anywhere else ever again!-Heather-

RBCC is easily the best veterinarian in the area, if not everywhere. They are so kind and compassionate and understanding. They will bend over backwards for your babies. Extremely knowledgeable. I love the atmosphere and I love the staff. They've always been able to get us in on short notice when we've needed them.

This clinic was recommended to me and I am so happy I went!! My cat, Gretchy, had a distended tummy and they took such great care of her and had her in and out in the same day. They even charged us less than they estimated because they only do what your furbaby actually needs, instead of pricing gouging, which is so appreciated 🙏. This facility is absolutely beautiful, its a retrofitted barn and the inside has all the kitty amenities. Sir Owl and his wife Guinevere (the two resident cats) are there to greet you when you get there 🤗 such an awesome clinic!! I will definitely be bringing my other 2 cats for their check ups soon!

Brought my cat here after taking home to the ER. They were able to get me in quickly. The vet was polite and very insightful. She was great with us and our cat. Pricing was reasonable and options were discussed. The vet is located in a barn setting and they have a few adorable cats who greet you zmd your cats while there. I enjoy the drive out, although it is a bit of a drive from Portage.

They are absolutely amazing and wonderful! Best vet I have ever been to, and I will not be going anywhere else. They communicate and check in even after I leave the clinic. They've always gone out of their way to help my cats and I, even when its last minute or after hours. They are well worth the trip for your kitty.

Wonderful, exceptional vet office nestled right into the middle of the countryside. The vet is absolutely amazing and so caring. I will say, if you have a difficult time walking upstairs, that the exam room was upstairs, I'm assuming they must have an exam room downstairs, but that was the only drawback as it is difficult for me to ascend up stairs. Absolutely recommend! A+++++

We had our first appointment today for my twin kittens and it went so well. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable and I love that they specialize in cats and really know how to speak their language! Cutest cat friendly environment inside! Super sweet rescue cat named Sir Elsly and his cat wife (I forget her name) greeted me at the check in, which was very pleasant. So grateful to have found a good vet to stick with for my girls! <3

The veterinarians and staff at Red Barn Cat Clinic are better at handling my cats for nail trims than any other cat clinic I've taken them to. They are thorough with exams, but take their time to keep my cats calm. Highly recommend!

Dr. Stocking and Dr. Anderson saved my buddy Tom from extensive suffering by having the insight and expertise to give him an ultrasound, thus finding the root of his problem. They took the utmost care and effort to make sure his passing was as relaxing and loving as it could be. As long as I live in the state, I will always take my cats here. Thank you for taking care of him.

They are wonderful! Not only do they specialize in cats and understand that cats have unique needs as 'obligate carnivores' but you really feel like your cat is getting the Vet's full attention and that she is focused on your cat's health. The prices are about the same as what other vets in the area charge, so if you own a cat and live within 30 miles you would do well to give them a go.

Granted my cat was an old boy. But 3 bouts of blood work putting a single visit for one cat at over $400 a round and when my cats outright not eating at all we take him in "I donno, gave him some I'v appetite stimulant, but you have a healthy kitty, hasn't lost weight (he had lost ~7lbs but I don't think they updated his weight during the previous visit.) I'm going to go on vacation now" turned out he had the start of a nasty infection (spoilers it killed him), when we knew ourselves something was definatly wrong, and couldn't wait, they recommend the Kalamazoo emergency vet. We ended up going to the animal hospital in Albion (five points) instead, (turns out their blood work is about half the price) and they pulled him from the brink of death. Got 3 to 4 good days with my boy before he died in that hospital. so if your looking for overpriced general care for an actually healthy cat they'd be fine. But I'm not keen on taking any more pets to these folks, if I'm paying over $400 per visit for one cat at a supposed specialist I expect them to take my cat acting weird and not eating seriously. (Couple years ago now but I'm still salty, much salt.)

You can feel the good vibes as soon as you walk in. You can tell all of these people work hard and care about your pet. They’re not judgmental and super understanding of your situation - very good at making you feel comfortable and heard.I dropped my kitty off for a biopsy and I just feel like she is in great hands ♥️✌🏻

As long as I live in the area, I can't imagine taking my cats to another vet. Dr. Stocking is wonderful, and everyone at the clinic has been compassionate and helpful throughout my interactions with them. You can tell that this clinic is run by folks who just really love cats.

Really different...the clinic was in an actual barn w/ accompanying farm odors. The stahl's were uniquely decorated & the examination rooms were clean & sported a video for cats as well as a kitty litter pan to use while staking out the room.The real game changer, however, was the thorough examination that Dr Anderson did on my cat. I had been told by two other clinics that my cat's tests were all in the normal range & sent me home when I knew he was acting like there was something wrong. She narrowed down the problem & we discussed the plan of action. I was glad someone listened & didn't just go by the tests. Wonderful care for all of kitty's needs. Staff is attentive, the Dr is very knowledgeable and loves your cat as much as you do. The boarding area is also wonderful with videos and lounging area for cats. My cat that has never been comfortable in boarding areas was actually comfortable there.

A very lovely place. The lounge for the cats is spacious, with several litter boxes and plenty of entertainment. Dr. Stocking and her staff are attentive, friendly and most of all super caring. Working on an adoption through petfinder and they were very supportive and care about the cats they foster as if they are their own.

This is a nice place to board your kitties, as there is a lovely playroom with couches, a tv with bird videos, and plenty of lookout towers for the kitties to climb. However, while the cost for boarding is quite reasonable, the additional costs are outrageous. They wait until the last minute to inform you of these extra charges, as well, i.e. when you've already arrived with your kitties to drop them off. They require you to have a variety of vaccinations in order for the cats to stay there as they will share a common area with other cats, and, as it is only a fenced area inside the barn, they charge you for administering flea medication to your kitties during their stay as the nature of the facility can leave your once- healthy fur babies with fleas. All in all, I would recommend the Kalamazoo Cat Hospital instead as they are much more reasonably priced and it is safer for your kitties.

Staff was rude and assuming to my fiancé. Very unprofessional the things that came after. This review was originally posted months maybe a year ago but they made me take it down. Which was also very un-American and unprofessional. The surgery side of getting our cat went fine though we did do our follow up at a different vetenarian. Our problems were strictly customer service related.
