The appointment was exactly on time and the staff were all very courteous. They handled my dog with care, kindness and efficiency. Dr. Kathy listens well and answered all my concerns. My dog, Sadie, has been a patient at Gull Lake Animal Hospital for 8 years, since she was an 8 week-old pup. While she is always nervous about going to the vet, she quickly settles down and loves all the staff, kissing them and rolling on her back for a tummy rub.

Since 2014 we have always used Gull Lake Animal Hospital with all of our dogs vet and boarding services. They are always so helpful and kind. I highly recommend them for our fur babies.

I love how much Gull Lake Animal Hospital loves our dogs! They are always happy to see them, they greet them and really know our dogs. That is important since our lives pretty much revolve around our pets. I am always happy with the Doctors and the full staff at Gull Lake Animal Hospital.The only negative I would have is that our vet visits are always pricey, but I think that’s pretty much unavoidable these days! Everything is pricey!

Gull Lake Animal Hospital has an arrangement with Animal Rescue Project, where we adopted our sweet Gracie. The spay surgery was set up and all we had to do was take her there and pick her up. I was pleased with the fact that the incision was very tiny and the the staples neat. Gracie had no issues at all. The techs are also wonderful and Gracie had no fear at all.

Both the vet and boarding staff are incredible! My dog is human-reactive, but can be cooperative with true dog-lovers. I swear the staff have to think I'm lying because he has been SO good with them because they are SO good with him! The vet and vet techs listen to me and care for him with ease. The kennel staff are kind and accommodating and make sure he has fun and is taken care of while he's there. Also, the facility is so clean and a great space for animals. We are lucky to have this place!

The staff has always been very friendly and I greatly appreciate their hours. They were able to get my cat in the same day we called when she had to follow up on an emergency appointment. I only wish they were able to do more diagnostics and imaging on site versus being referred to somewhere else. They try to help out as much as they can when they have to do that though.

We had another great experience with our dear Ms Bette. We had to get in for an emergency appointment because we believe she fell or sprained her leg. We received great care from the receptionist who answered the phone, the professionalism of the office staff of when we arrived & the great care from the assistant, and the vet herself.We also appreciate it so follow up call to check on her. We love the staff at Gull Lake animal Hospital.

We are new to Gull Lake Animal Hospital. Our first impression is it’s clean, friendly, little wait and our dog received a thorough examination. We recently had a scary experience. Dr. Eckler got our dog in right away giving him the best care, we received personal communication throughout the procedure and healing process. Dr Eckler has treated our family like we are family and genuinely cares. It is a longer drive for us, but worth it!

The purpose of the visit was to examine a possible infected toenail on my dos front right paw. Service was polite and friendly as usual. Got me and my Doberman Molly into an exam room immediately after we arrived. Dr. Forbes was professional and explained everything clearly. Totally satisfied with the visit.

Had my dogs yearly apt with Dr . Kathy Eckler this week and I was very pleased with her service and care! The whole team there was wonderful and made me feel at ease. I have a difficult dog but she took her time to make sure he was at ease. I was very happy with how the whole appt went and I felt at ease too as well as my pet.

I still can't get over how expensive they are. But we were in a hurry and had to go to the closest place that had my baby on record, and this was it. We're supposed to have a follow-up in two weeks, and I will be sure to ask for Dr. Kathy for that appointment. The other vet and technician were okay, but they seemed very afraid of my vocal kitty. And I get it, don't get me wrong. But he was scared and hurting, and I've seen much worse reactions from cats. The staff is always pleasant. But again, it's expensive.

We were very pleased with the care Henri received. He often has problems at kennels with his bowels, as he won’t soil his own territory. Your team must have given him ample time and encouragement as he came home and was right back on his usual “schedule “. Thank you so much.

My sweet puppy was injured with multiple lacerations and puncture wounds by another dog while at a daycare. Gull Lake got me in as soon as I called and could get there. They had him in for surgery the next day and now he’s at home resting. Extremely reasonable prices, a staff that cares, and they explained everything clearly but with compassion.It’s a 30 minute drive for us from Kalamazoo but they are the best in the area by far.

Took my shih tzu there for a check up and his heart worm and flee and tick meds. I was very please how professional and nice they were to my wife and dog. Doctor Riveria put my dog at ease because he was rescued from a kill shelter and has abandonment issues. Over all was pleasant experience and there rate are reasonable. We highly recommend taking your fur baby there.

This vet was borderline abusive. This review is going to be 100% transparent. I also would like to point out I have a large husky mix who is all black. He is extremely vocal.I went to this vet for the first time last year for his wellness exam. They acted very odd, refused to touch him, and I basically did the exam while they watched. I thought this was weird but wrote it off as maybe just their standard practice, but every other vet we’ve been to has not been like that.Today we came in for a concern about potential seizures my dog was having. Again, they basically refused to touch him. They immediately brought in a muzzle and asked me to put it on him. I did not refuse but did question a little if that was standard practice and he’s never had a muzzle on before. They said it was and had me put it on him. They started the exam and were not nice with him or anything. One vet grabbed my dog by the muzzle and pinned his head while the other one attempted to examine his ear. My dog, understandably freaked out and thrashed around. We ended the exam, they wrote a prescription for antibiotics for an ear infection. After this I was a little upset. They came in and said here is some trazadone for him (without even discussing it with me first as well). I really began to question at this point, as my dog has been well behaved at the vets previously. They mentioned that he seemed nervous (he was a little but not abnormally for being in a new place) and said in a previous note from another vet it was written that the vet wanted to sedate him before they aspirated a lump near his eye due to my dog snapping at him. This was upsetting for a few reasons. 1. That vet was picking and prodding at an open wound on my dogs eye for a solid minute before he reacted. 2. After that, the vet stppped, my dog was fine, and he just said if they had to do more with the eye wound, they would Sedate him. Which was 100% okay and was a conversation that vet and I had. Additional appointments with that vet were positive and did not require a muzzle.Additionally the vet did not express these concerns to me. They did not ask about the note. They just assumed he was aggressive and acted that way, without even communicating that to me. On top of that, they lied in their notes and said I refused the muzzle which is inaccurate. I put the muzzle on him - but I don’t think it was wrong of me to question it when he’s never needed one before. I left this vet without even an actual exam and spending 160. Theft is what that is.After this we went to a second vet, the same day. It went very well. They were able to give him the full exam, said he was having seizures and ordered appropriate bloodwork. This vet visit was all done with compassion and patience. No muzzle was needed at all.

My first visit there with our two dogs and they are wonderful!!! Dr. Kathy is Kind, very knowledgeable and so helpful!!she took so much time with is we felt like we were the only ones there. All the staff were friendly and very welcome. I would recommend this office to anyone.

Second Visit: $180 Ear infection. Got us right in thank you for that. Duke had an ear infection. Very professional and friendly to us and our dog. I liked the fact that instead of doing unnecessary labs, they asked if we wanted them done, she said results would not change the medication that would be given. (saved us money there) Downside was a huge mark up on the cost of medication for nausea. I would have appreciated if they told me I could have driven 10 minutes over to tractor supply. However, I could have checked on that myself, not their fault. Thankfully we already had the ear meds at home. Still giving 5 stars on second visit.First visit: Two big German shepherds and they handled them with ease. Didn't rush and looked at their records. Didn't even suggest a muzzle.

My cat recently got spayed there, and when I was there I asked if there was something they could give me to give my cat during our flight to AZ for thanksgiving. But I said that she CAN NOT be tranquilized. They ended up giving me a medication that come to find out was a sedative, based on my own research, which I told them was not allowed. Upon calling to inform them what happened, they said “yeah we don’t recommend giving her the medication we prescribed”. They now recommend a spray. So since they didn’t listen to me when I asked about something to give her, I asked if they could give me refund, since they messed up. (The medication wasn’t cheap) In the end they said they couldn’t because it was a controlled substance. The receptionist was rude and never apologized or tried to act like they cared that they messed up. My cat could have had serious issues in flight because they didn’t listen and gave the wrong medication/advice. I will never be back….what horrible customer service. I do NOT recommend this place in the slightest.

My dog had Lyme disease and our regular vet was closed for Easter holiday.Gull Lake veterinary was able to fit him in that day.We are very grateful for the fast courteous service.

Always wonderful service and care! Our dog has a bump on his front leg that he wouldn’t leave alone. Dr. Emily evaluated and recommended a treatment that fit his age and our budget and so far, seems to be very effective. Highly recommend!

It was a GREAT EXPERIENCE as our 11 year old came down with a limp on her front right foot on Tuesday afternoon which had us very worried!! Called on Wednesday morning for an appointment for a checkup and they were able to fit us in late in the afternoon!! Emily was able to diagnose a small problem which was AWESOME and a BIG RELIEF! I feel confident in taking my fur babies there. My pitbull hated doctor visits until we found this place, now I can drop her for surgery and she doesn't even realize I'm gone, they treat her very well. The ladies that bless this establishment are true angels.

My dog injured his foot. Since I have Covid I had no way to take him in so I sent a photo and they prescribed an antibiotic and a pain med. They accommodated me by having me call when I arrived and setting the prescriptions on the ledge outside the door for me to get and not expose anyone.

Everyone is so friendly, and they fussed over my babies (everyone loves having their pets fussed over)! I’m switching to this place even though it’s farther away than my former vet, which, btw, could definitely learn some things from Gull Road Animal Hospital.
