We had the opportunity to visit the Whitefish Point Lighthouse in APR_FY2024 and it was an amazing experience. We did a plant tour and for sure it's a beautiful place, especially to visit on a hot summer day.The land around the Whitefish Point Lighthouse is also remarkable, even a simple ride across the roads could be an unforgettable experience.Definitely, it's a place where we want back.

Whitefish point lighthouse is always a joy to visit. The grounds are always clean and I haven't visited at a time where there are not plenty of people visiting as well. The beaches and grounds are clean and I have not been disappointed in the cleanliness. The weather has always been pretty good when I have visited. I don't always return on my yearly visits because there is so much to see but this is absolutely a location I will return to in future visits.

Great place, nicely kept and moving. Just knowing all that had occurred nearby I can't put words to how I felt. This was the highlight of our trip for me. Between the museum and the light even my wife got very interested in it all. Take 30 minutes and watch the video. Nice gift shop and the all informative people that work at the Point we're great.

Very well kept grounds, if you pay for the museum you can tour the other buildings. We only went through the museum. The beach is amazing, and rock collecting abounds! The water is great for those who brave the cold, and some decent waves to entertain the kids and the adults who are kids at heart! We even caught a freighter passing by.

The oldest working lighthouse on lake Superior. The shipwreck museum is interesting and they have a little movie about the Edmund Fitzgerald that runs every 20 minutes. Walk down to the beach and swim in lake Superior or collect rocks. Unfortunately the light tower itself is no longer open for tours as it is a working lighthouse but you can still go through the museum there.

There are several ways to get to the beautiful beach that is right there. I love looking at the history of our state. Here you can see how they lived while making sure the lighthouse worked properly. The grounds are clean and well taken care of. They provide doggy poop bags and bowls of water for your furry companions.

Nice beach! Pretty touristy, but pretty in the early morning, maybe late at night. We tried to look for yooperlites, but had no luck. There were already so many people looking. The light house is a super cool piece of architecture, and the buildings around it. We have been coming to the point ever since no one knew about it. Now, the parking lot is always full, and the whole area has turned into a tourist trap. If you want a calm beach walk, not really the place.

Super nice area. We explored the museum, which was rich in history. I enjoyed looking through the sleeping quarters and living space. This place is a wonderful opportunity to learn about the area. I loved the access to lake superior and watching the large ships passing. The souvenir shop was interesting and the staff were friendly and helpful.

You can visit this area for free, but if you want to see the Keeper's house, the museum and the Coast Guard building you will need to buy a $14 per adult ticket. I cannot tell you if it's worth it, as we did not take the time to participate in the ticketed buildings. The gift shop next to the museum has a very nice selection. Great area for beach rock hounds. Really enjoyed it here.

Visited on 4th July 2022 and were pleasantly surprised to see the grounds, museum and gift shop open. We enjoyed the knowledge the movie about the Edmund Fitzgerald revealed and the artifacts in the different dwellings. Nicely done!

Very nice place! The lighthouse is cool and perfectly maintained, and it's very interesting reading the history of this place. There are also a couple of walking trails, a visitor's centre with bird feeders, and even a waterfowl observation blind. The habitat here is also very interesting.

We will go back to the museum and other features another time. We only went to the beach to put our feet in Lake Superior and look at the interesting rocks. It was beautiful. Lots of history at the lighthouse. Shipwreck museum looks very interesting but we chose not to go in. There was no waiting or anything, we just chose not to go the day we went. It was so nice outside.Restrooms were good.Parking: Several long parking spots for longer vehicles or vehicles with trailers, but limited

An incredibly unique landscape, beautiful and desolate even with people nearby.A great drive out & a fun place to explore, even when the buildings are closed, lots of history and lore to be learned from the many outdoor displays.A perfect place for beach walking, bird watching & rock hunting.

Chock full of history and exhibits. Multiple buildings makes plenty to see on beautiful grounds next to the lake. Really well done with the history of Superior and the many famous shipwrecks. Worth the drive and your time. Only thing stopping a full five stars is the staff, many of whom seem like they'd rather be anywhere else but at the museum.

I love this place, the beach is amazing with a ton of driftwood washed up ashore. Plus lots of rocks if you're a collector. There's the museum, and the lighthouse and some Coast guard buildings there as well. Great place for photographers also!

Beautiful spot just near Paradise. So much history here. Museum has entry fee and with that you can access lighthouse keepers quarters and other building. Beachfront access and it’s a stunning view out into the vast deep blue lake. Spotty cell service so make sure directions are in and set before going, but easy enough to find. Was crowded, but plenty of space to socially distance and most had masks on.
