The Rite Aid employees are great, however their pharmacy employees are rude and lack a sense of urgency. I pulled in to the drive through at about 1:10 waited in line for 15 minutes for them to serve the two cars in front me, I arrived at the window and waited for a couple minutes before I was greeted. I was finally greeted at 1:29 and was rudely told the pharmacy was closed for lunch. I feel those that have been waiting in line should be served before their lunch break starts, would maybe get them to move a little faster.

My dog got very sick. Found out he has to be on medication for the rest of his life. They called his Rx into Rite Aid. Rite Aid told me they could fill 10 of the 100 pills and would order the rest. Went to go pick up more, and they never ordered them and screwed up his script. They gave me some to get us through until they came in. Then I got a text saying it was ready. Went in, and it was not even ordered yet! They said they ordered it. Called, and they said it would be the next day. I said I have 5 days left. I was told it was too soon for refill!? Really?! It is not a controlled substance. Its not too soon when we have 4 days left. Now I go to refill using their system, and they don't recognize his rx number. This is extremely unacceptable! This is not how you handle people's orders pets medication refills!

I get so tired of people whining about their Pharmacy experiences. The Pharmacy is NOT BURGER KING!!! And the employees have nothing to do with YOUR insurance! Stop complaining when they take the time to figure out YOUR insurance mess. Also, keep in mind that there is a worker shortage continuing since the Pandemic. The work these folks do is LIFE AND DEATH! Not to be rushed. Please give them the time and courtesy to confirm that your meds are filled correctly. You would never talk to your Doctor the way you treat the Pharmacist who is a DOCTOR OF PHARMACY! It will never be "fill it and bill it" for dedicated Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians (which by the way must be State Licensed and Nationally Certified). They are all ESSENTIAL WORKERS that got NO recognition during the worst of our country's medical trauma. I so greatly appreciate their continued hard work and they can take as long as necessary to take care of me. Thank you so much.

I continually have great experiences at this pharmacy. Both of the current pharmacist have been great and kind when I have questions. We have several scripts on auto renew, which is very convenient. I keep my scripts here even though I now have another pharmacy closer by. Definitely would recommend.

Rite Aid is my drug store of choice. I usually can find what I came in for. The store is clean and staff is helpful. The pharmacy is busy most times when I visit but they do a great job taking care of customers needs.

Rude staff. They will whisper about your medication to each other can over hear to attempt to embarrasses customers. The cashier in the pharmacy can't give a simple yes or no question. Then act like your the incompetent one. I think I will drive the 30 min for my medication. Let it close maybe something better will pop up in its place.

I received my 4th Covid shot today at Ortonville Rite Aid. I've been going there for 5 years and, as almost always, I found the experience quite pleasant. The staff is usually very friendly and helpful. The pharmacist, Dr. Jenny, has many times gone above and beyond what I would have expected in order to help me. Pharmacy Technician, Sarah, was friendly, efficient, and helpful today just as she has been whenever I've had the pleasurer of interacting with her in the past.I fully understand that we now live in a world with shortages of not only "stuff" but also workers. So I've adjusted my expectations downward for most businesses. But at Ortonville Rite Aid, at least from my perspective, I'm still receiving the same high quality service as 5 years ago.And even at those businesses where I find the quality of service has fallen, I find the person behind the counter is usually not the root cause.I know if I had to work under the conditions that many retail frontline workers have been for the last 2 years I probably would have gone will smith a long time ago.

***UPDATE*** 5-17-2022**During the recent months the staff in the pharmacy has been supplemented with good people and they are on back on track!**Previous Review**The new pharmacist needs to be escorted out of there. What's wrong with corporate hiring these rude underperformers? This used to be a dependable place now there's a bunch of nubies in there that can't even get a box ready for pickup after it was called in 8 hours before. Do you really think this is going to work in this small community? You new guys are always behind and rude. The people who worked there before knew virtually everyone and it was a comfortable relationship. My wife waited 45 minutes in line to get to the counter then was told he was to busy to fill her prescription. Get reliable help or we are moving our business to someplace else!

Best answer-FIND A NEW PHARMACY!This is the worst pharmacy I have ever been to.Prescriptions take 6-8 hours to fill, and that's IF you don't have to wait until the next day. Waiting 8 hours or until the next day is always great when you are ill or in pain.If you call the pharmacy and they put you on hold, hang up and call back. They never return to calls that are on hold. And to top it all off, the rudeness. Good bye forever rite aid!

Front store staff always friendly, courteous, and polite; they're all great; my 1 star is because of the rude pharmacist in the back, if I could give FS a five star on a separate basis on just FS alone I would. This review is based on yesterdays experience: I understand it gets busy; sometimes people are given 'skeleton crews' to cover the bare basics to get the job done, and the current covid situation doesn't help either, but she needs an attitude adjustment. Didn't have issues with pharmacy back in May when I got my shots done, but this lady needs to leave her sour attitude at the door and not take it out on others. I didn't mind waiting at the drop off because I had time to kill. I watched as everyone else was taken care of, and around 7:30pm the area emptied; when she came up to me, refused to get my script taken care of, (Literally said 'I cannot do it') an hour and a half before they were supposed to close up on the account of being short staffed, adding to leave my name and number and they would deal with it the following morning because they needed 24 hours in advance to get it done. What's to say she won't refuse it because she's in a bad mood again the next day too? Hard Pass for me.

This is the only drug store I will go to while at home in Michigan. The pharmacy staff here treats me like a member of their family, and even know me by name. Any time there’s an issue with my Schedule II narcotics, someone will call me and work with me and my insurance provider and/or doctor until it’s resolved. They are all extremely willing to help you. I highly recommend this store and all the staff, especially the pharmacy department. Sara is the best!

I picked up a prescription for my wife and charged it to my credit card, the girl behind the counter said I needed a new Plenti/Wellness card, so she filled out all my information. Now Rite Aid has my C/C number & all my personal info, two days later my C/C is charged for over $400 at two Rite Aid stores, one in Belleville & another in Ann Arbor. No more rewards card & only cash transactions at the Rite Aid from now on. This was, my experience at the Rite Aid store in Ortonville MI five years ago. Today I had to make two 30 minute trips, lines around the store, I heard the cashier say a guy was waiting on line for 45 minutes to talk to the pharmacy and it takes 3 hours to put 14 pills in a bottle , either get more help or don't spread yourself so thin. Had a great experience at Hometown Pharmacy 10 minutes to put 14 pills in the bottle and nobody stole my CC information and it was 2 dollars cheaper. Hometown is my new pharmacy! Rite Aid can stick it!

Before posting blame on the pharmacist, I would recommend those particular individuals to obtain a copy of the "so called prescription they claimed was called in" from their physician Office. It infuriates me when they are quick to judge and point blame on the Pharmacist for . (Physician/or staff) own negligence and oversight!!Both Pharmacist Bill and Jenny are very knowledgeable, personable and helpful with all the customers. High regards for both of them along with all the employees. Despite the power loss for the past two days Bill, Pharmacist was very professional, polite and friendly. Treat you like you are their family rather than an everyday customer.Highly recommend this Rite Aid Pharmacy and store. As long as they are there my family will never switch. Both Pharmacists Bill and Jenny are a wonderful asset to the Rite Aid team!We have been their patients for well over 15 years. We have seen staff members come and go for whatever reason. More importantly, Since Bill and Jenny took over managing this pharmacy they have exceeded our expectations and work well together as a team to make it a smooth operational pharmacy.Sometimes we as individuals need to understand, the Pharmacist are getting swamped with the overgrowing prescription demands! If you had to walk a day in their shoes you may get a better insight on their daily tasks!I respect the feedback you may have given, it's just an understanding on a person's job function that so many are quick to judge on.I'm sure you had mishaps with your job, but, I'm pretty confident that no one was quick to judge, degrade you for nor leave a negative review on.We have the utmost respect for both Bill and Jenny! Very thankful for Rite Aid Corporate to place these two at the same pharmacy. Excellent job on Corporates decision.💯👌

For years, this is the place I went to every month. The staff was always helpful, professional and respectful. The pharmacists were pleasant and helpful!Until the last few months… this place has gone down the drain. Can never get things filled on time, it’s difficult to get ahold of the pharmacy most of the time, the new pharmacist is just rude. It’s hit or miss. There’s still some good folks working there.

I had recently left a very negative review, i stand behind the review, although my normal pharmacist, which is the best I've had, made things right. I do appreciate good customer service, and he did an outstanding job!!!

I would have rated this location higher, because the staff is friendly and helpful, and the selection is fresh and good, but I had to mark them down because they have installed the most ridiculous system to protect their deodorants. You have to life a door to clearly see what you want (You can't see them behind all the discount tags and other advertising) but the WORST part is that every time you open the flap an alarm goes off and keeps going off while it's open. I absolutely will pay more somewhere else than have to go through that again. It's horrible for the honest shopper and I don't appreciate being penalized because of something that is happening other places in the state. Please consider removing this option.

I'm submitting another review to balance my low review a few months ago. I am so happy to report that my concerns and frustrations about anti theft devices on deodorant were addressed. I did get a call from the manager and the horrible alarms are now gone. I felt my concerns mattered. Nicely done and thank you!

I went in to do a Western union. Stood in a long line very patiently. When i got up there I pulled out my card and Michelle, the manager, says western union is cash only very authoritative. Then when i say well Ive done it plenty of times, which I have, she replys with "Not here you havent" in the most unwarrented condescending tone. No reason, just rude to be rude. I said oh, ok then and left. I didnt want to sink to her level and be rude back. Of course when I called to ask for the manager, it was her! Its just another example of people letting their job title go to their heads. Michelle needs a refresher on customer service. The friendly helpful part specifiiclly!

Really tired of your "automated" system not AUTOMATICALLY refilling my prescriptions. I've had multiple lapses in doses because when I go to manually enter my prescription for refill it tells me it will be available the NEXT DAY, like I'm sorry I signed up for the automatic refill, I thought it would actually WORK!

I am so tired of having one option in Ortonville and being forced to use a pharmacy that just continues to be undependable and idiotic. My Doctor tried to call in a med 2x and instead of getting through to the new pharmacist was forced to leave voice mails This started at 10:30 am and it is now close to 6:00 pm on a Friday and I am now forced to take alternative actions.....Can't we get a CVS or Walgreens here? Glad I declined the plenti rewards card.

Horrible service at the pharmacy. I've been telling myself for years to change pharmacies, due to the constant waiting in line at this Rite Aid, due to lack of staff or possibly incompetence. The current Pharmacists doesn't seem to understand English very well at all - will ask the same question over and over. I think I'm finally done.

They never even pick up the phone their automated system doesn't fill your prescription so they're ready, this is honestly one of the least professional pharmacies I've ever used
I'm not CRAZY!!

I takes 3 or 4 days to get a script filled here and forget about calling to speak with someone they have never answered when I've called. Then when you drive up there be prepared to wait in line for 45 minutes.

Their automated refill system doesn't work and if you want to call them to see if it's ready for pick-up, they don't even answer the phone.... There a reason this pharmacy has more 1* reviews than any other....

They advertise 15 minute prescriptions. I waited 45 minutes to get it. They were not friendly and didn't care how long I had to wait.

I waited 15 minutes at the drive-thru pharmacy tonight and I was first in line. Ridiculous.
