We happened upon the newly opened space, as it was one of few places open in the off season…we’re so glad we did! The entire menu was refreshing - so many fresh and unique options. We got strawberry and root beer milkshakes, broccoli wings, quinoa Phoenix burger, and the Mr. Darcy salad.We waited about 30 min from the time we ordered to eating, which was perfect as we got to walk around town, and then enjoy our milkshakes (AMAZING) while playing games set out on each table (so thoughtful and a preferable atmosphere to patrons with their head in the phones). Every other itemwe ordered was FANTASTIC with huge portions (I didn’t even get to touch the salad, but am excited to eat it tomorrow!) Broccoli wings are a must-try and the quinoa burger is the best veggie patty (housemade, too!) that my husband has ever tasted.If you’re in the area, go support this business!

So they are renovating their place and have set up a "food truck" so they can keep serving which is very cool. It's especially cool because they were 1 of only 2 places open in town.The portions are HUGE, I was expecting normal food truck portions and ended up over ordering.Added pictures of the poutine and the fish fillet sandwich, look at the size of that fillet, it is an inch thick and at least 3"x3" !!! Their sauce for it is a homemade sauce and perfection.Give them your money and patience, it's well worth it.Went back the following day because 1. Food is great 2. Options for a place to eat are very limited on a Tuesday, as in they are the only place open after 5:00.Anyhow, turns out the applesauce is the recipe of one of the lady's grandmother and they make it, as well as almost everything else 5hwt be, from scratch. It was incredible, wish I would have gotten 2.I never thought about putting strawberries in my broccoli salad, but they did and it totally works in place of the raisins. Only down side was that they were a bit mushy, which felt odd compared to everything else being so firm.Anyhow if you made it this far, give them a try. The food really is very good, even with it being a bit of a wait.

Not worth the wait (1 hour)The Burger Mac Pastie did taste OK. Also, my husband, got the Sloppy Joe Pastie, tasted OK also. We each got a pastie order thinking it would be only 1 pastie but 3 came with the order. Each order comes with potatoes. Everyone’s potatoes were too well done.We ordered the Pig Taters. Again the potatoes too done. Cheese sauce tasted jarred. But pulled pork tasted OK.We were with other people who ordered Vegan burger. $16 but you get a warmed up frozen vegan burger patty. He returned his order and received a refund.Overall we would not recommend this food truck.

Hands down some of the best service and food truck food I've ever had. The only place open for food and they knocked it out of the park! You're doing yourself a disfavor if you don't go at least once. Nearly everything is homemade, and it shows.

We finally made the trip from Traverse to Northport specifically to eat here! Everything was amazing! I have never seen a piece of fish so big on a fillet-o-fish sandwich! My husband loved the caprese frenchee! The milkshakes were beautiful and delicious. Finally, the poutine with veggie gravy was everything I'd hoped for. As pescatarians we really appreciate all of the veggie options! It is hard to find vegetarian comfort food out there and you nailed it! We will be back!

This place was surprisingly good! My boyfriend was skeptical at first because of the ‘gravel floor’ as he said- but the food was amazing and so fresh and we both enjoyed! Juicy chicken, ripe blackberries and a deep fried goat cheese that I had never had before but I’ll remember forever! I was so happy to see bubble tea on the menu, too and pasties! Really a northern Michigan gem and the staff really care about their food and building community.

Love saying hi to May and her family. Its a wonderful family owned restaurant great food and friendly people. If you are willing to have a 30 minute wait time for a good home cooked meal then I recommend this wonderful little place everything is made from scratch and well worth it :) and something anyone who likes coconut and pomegranate they have a boba tea that's is delicious definitely recommend I hope you all enjoy the food as much as I do :)Vegetarian options: Lots of options also gluten free stuff just askKid-friendliness: They have movie night dinner and a show lots of fun

Went here with my partner after our neighbors at Mitten Brewing Company offered us a bite of their dinner. We ordered the blackened shrimp to split ($20) and it was to die for. Wait was as expected for a busy evening and they communicated with us beforehand regarding the wait. The menu was phenomenal and it was hard to narrow down what we wanted to eat because everything sounded amazing. Will be back!

Very friendly staff and delicious food. They have lots of vegan options (including milkshakes!!) for our vegan friends, and very tasty options for everyone else too! The fried potatoes are fantastic and I was delightfully surprised by the chicken n chips. I’m a huge chicken tender fan and these were high on the list of tops!

This is a find! We're so happy to have found Around the Corner Food and Fun while visiting northern Michigan. We ate there last night and liked it so much we went back tonight and plan to go back tomorrow for our last dinner "Up North". We LOVED the black bean burger, Clive's pasties and pickled asparagus in particular, but really everything we tried was delicious. The food is top quality, homemade and fresh. Highly recommended!

Terrific spot in beeeeeautiful Northport. If you don't have their cheese sandwich (with tomato soup if you want), you'll suffer hearing others rave about it. Next level grilled cheese. The cheese kurds were killer, too (and more, there were four of us). No, it is not a white tablecloth joint, yes, at some times you may wait a few minutes for your prepared food (so you don't need a tie and *ahem* its not THAT long...),but for some good eats (we were there for dinners (and then to the beachside park two short blocks away), but you could snack here for days), this is worth every penny.

OMG that was a great burger! The olive burger is one of the two best on the planet. The sear was incredible. It thoroughly caramelized whatever they put on the patty. Instant umami buzz. Fish and chips is outstanding — crunchy outside and moist inside. Their tartar sauce — made in house — is spectacular. Portions are generous. Service is excellent. One of our favorite local spots.

Love this place: friendly and creative menu, always posting great specials online. The original pasties are the way to go, we got them and took them to the brewery to eat (nice option and just a block away if you want a drink). The bannana pudding was AMAZING. Only suggestion would be to add a few more healthy/ non-fried options which I know they can!

Fish sandwich= MUST try. Awesome big piece of fish, so delicious. Kombucha float is delicious and refreshing! So many fun activity packs for the kids and even free movie nights! I’ve had multiple salads here, all were filling and full of texture and flavor.

We have been going to Northport for 25 + years and this was one of the best meals we have ever had there. The people running it are delightful and the delicious menu options are incredibly tasty! The Burger Mac Pastie melts in your mouth. Thank you for making our Labor Lunch such a delight!

Food was okay but definitely nothing amazing. A lot of good options for Vegan and Gluten Free people. Unfortunately the service was extremely slow. Waited over an hour for food on a rainy Tuesday at lunch and some of the orders were still not correct. There was also no offer to discount or refund anything after the extremely long wait. Not sure how they survive a busy night if a Tuesday lunch overwhelms them.

My olive burger was 2/3 raw and I got sick. My daughter’s cheeseburger was so well done it was nearly burnt. The beignets were waaaay overcooked, nearly burnt. Be careful folks - creative menu + unpredictable cooking = DANGER!

Horrible....... My burger was raw, she put the wrong item on there ( some weird red sauce) I tried it anyway. When I picked it up I realized the bottom part of the bun was so soggy from the nasty burger juice..... So greasy.... The potatoes were disgusting.... Super disappointed... Especially for the prices they charge. I would never recommend this place!!!!!

Incredibly delicious fish and chips. (I could do just chips and be happy but don't miss the fish,) Laura and her crew do an amazing job AND provide community entertainment. This is a "don't miss" whether or not you participate in their educational days or their movie nights or just pick up delicious food and give yourself a day out of the kitchen.

Tried for the first time today, and loved everything we ordered. The menu features creative options you won’t find elsewhere, and they have a great outdoor seating area where they occasionally host outdoor movies. They have other fun activities for the kids. Great place to check out when in Northport!

Food was to die for. Lengthy wait but well worth it. Perfect spot for people w kids.No bathroom which was odd and inconvenient but the food trumped everything. I had the chicken and chips and shared one of the salads with my wife. Very good value
