This store has lazy workers. Even management walks around doing nothing. Boxes, carts everywhere. Can't get your cart through any isles. Never clean. It's a shame. Smh

While this store is a little messy and could use a cleaning, don’t let that fool you! This place has some great stuff for a great price. The staff is amazing. I was looking for a certain item, they didn’t have it, but the lady took down my info and said she would call me if they got it back in stock. She deserves a raise! She was friendly and professional and really cares to make customers happy. Highly recommend!

I like to shop Dollar General stores. They usually have good, inexpensive merchandise I like to pick up. However, this particular store's employees can be extremely lazy, and they like to lock the doors 10-15 minutes before closing. So, beware if you need to run there for something last minute-or ten!Edit, Sept 2022: Lately, I've noticed newer employees. They don't lock the door early. Its really helpful, especially when you need one thing at 10 mins until closing!

This store is okay for a quick stop. The store itself is a little messy and there are supply carts blocking the pathways of some of the isles making it a bit difficult to walk around. The employees were nice, but the line was very long and moved slowly.

Best stocked Dollar General I've ever been to! We were visiting from out of state and was impressed with this store. Wished ours back home was as big and stocked full of the home decor and variety of items this one had!

Store was clean, associate was friendly and efficient. I was able to get everything I needed, shelves were nicely stocked. I visit this location often and have never really had any problems, it looks great since the renovation.

South bend burger king on portage and Cleveland is phenomenal always understaffed. But you wouldn't know it.food is great and the staff is always friendly and kind. Don't let me forget to say they're also ever attractive stop in and see what I'm talking about

I gave them 4 stars, because along with everyone else....They were under staff. Plus you had to maneuver around there stock.So; if your disabled and need a wheelchair, walker or even a cane your not going to be able to maneuver around there stock or the aisles the way they're setup conveniently. They do have handicap parking and a ramp, but other than that you will not be able to maneuver easily through the store.

Definitely needs a remodel. Nothing is organized logically. Hard to navigate the narrow aisles and poles in the middle of aisleways. Everything always looked picked over. Half of the time the stuff you need is in a tub in front of the shelf where it should be displayed

I wanted to purchase my mother's items. We tried to use our $5 off $25 coupon and were told our total wouldn't add up to $25 because the item was on sale and the balloons were $1. Guess what? We were rung up and the items totaled $29. We didn't get to use the coupon. The balloons were $1.50 not $1. The item she said was on sale, was not. Absolutely ridiculous, if we weren't in a hurry I would have made her return everything and rering it, instead we were misled and overcharged. Tried to talk to a manager, we were left on hold while everyone talked. Poor customer service.

This store is my go to store for just about any thing I need. It is usually cheaper than the grocery store's. Has quality products and name brand also. The staff is knowledgeable about location of any object. Also they are very helpful and friendly.

I went the to pick up some things. When i went to check out i had to use the restroom so bad i about went in my pants and i asked the lady if i could use there restroom and she kept saying its not a public restroom and i told her that i was about to go in my pants and i had to go super bad. Then the next day i go to get some lunch for work then i notice that someone asked to use there restroom real quick and she said sorry ita outta order. The employees r rude

Its better than it used to be. Staff seem friendly. Give them a try. The store is clean unless they are stocking. They are conveniently located and theres plenty of parking and lots of great items!

Dollar general is not as good store. Very bad experiences especially with digital coupons. Cashier even tells you what to do but it does not work either. I will not return there. So many other places have digital coupons and they always get it right- dollar general is a big joke.

The dollar general on second street here in Niles is ran by a great crew! Very friendly staff that will do whatever they can to help you. Much cleaner and organized than the one at bell plaza.

As far a a dollar store Buchanan has 2 of them, but I 99 percent of the time go to Dollar General because I know the people that work here and they have always been super helpful finding stuff that I'm looking for! Good job! 👍👍

Cashier didnt have mask on (during covid 19 and there was sign on door stating you must wear a mask)cashier area had unsitely dirty plastic taped up around the cash register area- store was very dirty

Every time I walk through the door it's like I'm long lost family, even if they are taking care of someone else they always make me feel welcome!!!!! Now for product on the other hand needs work somewhat!

This store in Berrien Springs is a great option but they are seriously understaffed and more times then not you can't get down the Isles because of I'm shocked products,I think dollar General dropped the ball and has neglected this store which is greatly needed in our community, people go else where because of howcluttered this store is
