First time I have ever made a reservation and never met front desk or any employee. Everything done through text. Room was clean upon entering...except for some cobwebs and a couple nasty spiders. Discovered toilet was leaking slightly. Reported it...by text of course. Management offered to move us but we declined. Room was nice, cute. Not much around. Very quiet. Only food available at Marathon gas station...cold sandwiches. Still, we liked it very much. Price was also very good. A little more personal touch would go a long way.Rooms: Adequate and well cared for. Bathroom had large stand up shower. Free coffee.Nearby activities: Snowmobile museum across the street.Walkability: Not much here, but there are a couple of hins walkable.Food & drinks: Only at Marathon gas station down the street.

I debated for a long time whether to write a review. But seriously, I read the reviews, and still figured I'd book it, because the stuff I read wasn't really that explicit on the details. I don't mind that we never met a staff person during check in. It's weird, but whatever. I didn't mind that the room was really strangely laid out so it was hard to relax. It's strange only having one chair in a room that sleeps up to four. But I didn't have four people. I didn't even particularly mind that the breakfast advertised was nothing more that two beat up coupons for 10% of at a restaurant in a nearby town. (And not even one of the local restaurants that I wanted to go to anyway.) It was little more than annoying that the fridge and microwave were stacked in a strange spot on the floor, unplugged, as we had perishables with us. Had to buy ice to keep it safe. And where I really drew the line on finding this completely unacceptable was discovering that the bedding was very obviously not washed. Like, I sniffed the pillow, on a hunch, and it smelled like the second week of deer camp. So yeah, there's my line drawn. When I feel the need to drive to a neighboring town to get bedding at a Dollar General, that's not a decent motel. I will not be back. And we're not bougie people. The nicest place we stayed on our vacation was a campground cabin with no connected plumbing. So this place really has to swing low to fail to beat a rustic cabin in a campground.I low key wish I'd just booked a Quality Inn in St. Iggy, instead of working to support local businesses. This was the lone lowlight of an overall lovely road trip weekend. Boo.Walkability: There are a couple restaurants nearby, if you get there when they're open. The bar a couple block south has decent whitefish.

The room was clean. No fridge, or microwave. Very basic room. Interesting wall decor (see photos) 9 am had housekeeping slamming a vacuum into the walls of the next room and adjoining door... which they tried to open first. Heat well let's just say I wouldn't stay here in the winter. The temp barely rose and we turned it on when we first arrived. By the time we left the next morning it had gone up 4 degrees... luckily I had blankets in my car to use. It mentioned breakfast, we were left 2 cards to get 10% off our meal at a restaurant in another town. Those stayed as we weren't traveling to another town out of our way just for breakfast.Rooms: Rooms are clean but very basic

This was a cozy little hotel room. It was clean. It's a quiet area. We liked how all you had to do was show up to the room that the attendant text to us and it was open and ready and the key was on the table and when we left, that's all we had to do was leave the key on the table and go, no signing anything, or waiting for help. That's my kind of service!The area around has a gas station, a bar, and a restaurant/ice cream place and even a junk shop. If your looking for a decently priced, quiet place, this is it.

The beds are so comfortable. We've stayed at Adoba Naubinway and a couple other Adoba Hotels. We get the best night's sleep, and love the staff. The breakfast is great, and the hospitality is even better. Leslie recommended the Cove - It had superb Whitefish. We'll be staying with Adoba in the UP any chance we get! Fitness area was the best I've found up here yet.Rooms: Rooms have fridge, tv, AC, warm showers, and pleasantly decorated.

Rooms smelled moldy and musty. Air conditioner did not work. Wood was peeling off on bathroom door. Had to becareful not to get slivers. There was no lock on the window. Shower had no hot water. Couldn't move the shower head the whole pipe moved.There also was no breakfast, hot tub, beach front. The advertising was misleading. Wouldn't recommend this hotel.

I had a work meeting in Engadine, so I drove up from the lower peninsula the night before and stayed at Adoba. It was very comfortable, clean, no weird smells or anything, and super convenient. I was pleasantly surprised in that the room was more up to date than I expected given some of the photos. All in all, will stay here again if I have another work meeting nearby in the future.

I would easily give this place a 5/5 stars. Check in is a little different than normal, but it actually worked out perfect. The owner will send a text with the room number and tell you everything else you need to know. The room was clean and comfortable, with a mini fridge, coffee maker and a microwave. The housekeeping staff was also very attentive and always checked to make sure we didn’t need anything. Bed was very comfortable as well. Also had cell service here which was a plus for any remote workers. Great stay!

I cannot rave enough about how cute and clean and comfortable this hotel room was. A great place for when you're traveling US2 and need to stop for the night. As I was getting in late due to a long drive, the staff notified me of my room number and where to pick up my key by text. Our room was advertised as two queen beds and there was also a pull out in the couch if we had needed it. Warm blankets on the coat rack shelf if we needed it but the heat worked great so I didn't. Loved the decor and the bedding and just everything.

The check in was great with the text letting me know which room and all the details.The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean, and had hot water.Only downside was that the heat didn't work well, and there was no fridge in the room. Also had to move the coffee maker to even use it, which isn't that big of a deal.But all in all it was a good place to rest.The review (above) I posted 8 months ago, is still true. But I had to lessen the stars this time.We stayed there for one night, I decided to get a two queen bed room, so it was a lot bigger. The room looked nice and clean, but there's a downside.This room had issues with the water, it was either scorch your skin hot, or freeze off parts of your body cold in temperature. This room had a fridge and microwave, neither were plugged in and had to be moved to use them, same for the coffee maker. There's no ice machine, no hair dryer, and the fan did not work in the bathroom. We tried this place twice now, and have officially decided to take it off our list of places go stay.Also, the wi-fi didn't work, and there's only one small trash can in the bathroom.Up side is it's near MooFinFries which is a great place to eat.

Heating is very loud although the road is quiet. Bathroom is very small and almost no light in shower. Everything was unplugged and you need to wait several minutes to setup the satellite signal. Never saw anyone showed up in the office from check in to check out. Sent text message for wifi password but never got response and in the end my kind temporary neighbors told me that. Just no customer service at all. Only one comforter for two beds. For ~$130 it should not be like this.

We had room 7. 10/ 5 stars. 2 adults.Check in is a bit different and unique. You'll receive a text message for your entry and key location.Don't read other reviews. Just read mine because I'ma hard critic. For the price of 110 a night, this place does excellent for it's job and purpose.Nice kept clean, tidy, cozy, and simple for quick easy in and out resting. Good pizza at the Village Pizza. Walkable distance to food areas next door.Recommended for quick stays and rests and small families.If you complain, then you're one of "those" Karen customers that are never happy. Don't rate it poor and complain just because you didn't have it your way.The soap bar smells gooood!! 😍Will come again if we pass by the upper peninsula.

This is a great hotel. The rooms are clean and provide just enough space to fit our family of 7. It is located in a good area with a few good places to choose from for dinner. The only drawback to this location is the small bathrooms that will fit the slightly above average and below person.

Small rooms but clean, and quaint. Everything you need too, shower , bathtub, sink, mini fridge, and a microwave....... of course a TV and bed as well, very quiet too.Nearby activities: Only 30 or so mifrom the mackinaw bridge, close enough to the Tahquamenon falls , as well as other attractions.

Really great place to stay! I needed to get away from Houston for awhile to go play in some real snow and have some down time at the other end of the country. The room was warm and cozy, the bed was comfortable!!!, the showers were hot and roomy, and had a great Direct TV package. The town was quiet and at night, I could hear that distinct and very particular sound of snowflakes hitting the ground that you miss when you move to the tropical climate and rarely see snow. The moon became full and shined beautifully over this quaint, darling motel. It was neatly plowed for parking and easily accessible. I look for these types of motels because they just have more character than the typical chains. This is one of them!

Check in is a bit weird with no one on the property but it worked well.Room 13 was clean but showing it's age. Walls in this adjoining room are paper thin.Time to upgrade before it resemble a Patel cartel motel.Oh and one more thing: proper man sized toilet would be nice.

Although amenities listed include 24 hour front desk service, my husband arrived to a locked door after traveling for over 9 hours. There was a phone number posted on the door stating to call the number for access to the hotel. No one answered the number. We received a call the next day from an employee asking why we had called the number so many times.
