This is the first place we ever had a pasty at and we come back because they are SO good! We got the traditional (beef, potatoes, carrots, onion and rutabaga) with gravy and a blueberry pie pasty and both were delicious!! We plan to get some frozen ones to take home before we leave because our daughters aren’t on this trip and they both love them.Highly recommend trying!

First time trying pasties and we were not disappointed!! AMAZING!! The chicken pastor was my favorite, but the beef was also great! Definitely try the apple Katie and homemade fudge!! Heath fudge?? So good!

If you like pasties, you will love Muldoons. We believe they are the best the U.P. has to offer, and we stop by each time we're in the area. The traditional pasty is my favorite but I also like the chicken. Feel free to pose with "big foot", dine there or take your food to go (they offer frozen pasties too), but be sure to peak at the little souvenir shop.

Being from the east Coast I never had a Pastie. Hell, never even heard of one. We stopped here one evening for a supper. This would be my second attempt at trying one. My first one was the day before at another restaurant, and it was a bust. Just terrible. Muldoons on the other hand is what a pastie should be. Flaky and full of the good stuff. Also the coleslaw it came with was top notch. If you’re looking for a real mid western treat, this is the place for you! Support local business!

Some of the best pasties in the u.p. if we have a choice, this is the place we stopped. This time I tried the chicken which was very good. They have some nice covered picnic tables for shade or shelter from a drizzle. My recommendation is to make sure you grab an apple pie pastie for dessert because they are amazingly good, and not to be missed.

So, I'm not a pasty person. I don't usually like pasties. But I have been thinking about Muldoons pasties for the last 2 years. It came up when we were talking about food we miss in a travel group. We live in the lower peninsula, and on our way back home, we snagged some pasties from another place to take home, and it just did nothing for me. Muldoons is the best.

Beef pasties were excellent tasting, moist and well flavored home made pasties! Kids did not even taste the rutabaga. Decent price. Clean establishment, friendly, welcoming staff😁Fruit pasties did not taste like home made filling/fruit.. would not recommend (tasted like canned fruit filling)🤷‍♀️

This Southern boy had never even heard of pasties before. This place claims to have the best in the UP. All I know is they are so good you'll want to slap ya mama! I got the traditional and did like the local by using ketchup. They don't have a diverse menu but they can cook the heck out of some pasties. If you are in the area, don't pass this up.Vegetarian options: Meatless pasties are available.

I wanted to try a pasty (past-ee) and this place was highly recommended. I had the chicken and my husband had an apple pie. He really enjoyed the apple pie. Mine reminded me of a pot pie but one that you could hold like a burger. It was very filling and I couldn’t eat it all. I wish I had tried the beef, but there WILL be a next time! We ate on a picnic table outside. They were busy!

Had to try the Pasties, very yummy! You can watch them in the kitchen making the pasties. Nice little gift shop that sells fudge made in Munising. Definitely worth a visit. It was a beautiful day to sit outside to enjoy our Pasties.Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian Pasties.

We were told we had to try a pastu while in the UP. We found this place and ordered an apple pie pasty and a blueberry pasty. Oh my, these were delicious. They were full of fruit. They were big enough that we had to split them over two days. They also have some items in the gift store as you walk in, as well as a large selection of homemade fudge. I'm going to miss these when we go home.

My first pastie ever and was pleasantly surprised!! Ordered one beef and one chicken pasty and they were so good! It’s like a chicken pot pie crossed with a hot pocket but so much better! The ketchup is an essential condiment and you can also order gravy for additional few bucks to dip in. I preferred just ketchup. Delicious and not too heavy feeling after you’re eating which is great! Nice or door seating too! Super friendly staff and great first experience!

After a long hike at the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, we rushed into the town of Munising to try the famous pasties. We ordered three different ones: traditional, chicken, and apple. The pasty reminded me of a thick, relatively dry stew wrapped in a tasty dough and cooked to perfection. Pasties were individually wrapped and maintained in an oven so that once you get your order, they are warm and ready to eat. I personally did not like the taste of the beef/beef broth that was used for the traditional pasty. However, chicken and apple pasty were absolutely amazing. It was obvious that the ingredients used for the filling was fresh - not canned goods. Apple pasty had just the right sweetness, it wasn't packed with sugar. I would definitely recommend this place if you are passing by and looking for a quick and easy but delicious lunch. We enjoyed it with an awesome lake view with a backdrop of fall colors on rolling hills.

45+ years since I've had a pastie. The beef was as good as I remembered. Chicken was ok. Very busy place when we arrived. Will definitely return when and if we come back to the area.

Absolutely amazing! Veggie AND desert options available, this is a must stop 🛑 ❤️ There is even a little shop with fudge and other treats and gifts. Refrigerated and frozen versions are available as well, so we got some for the road and they were sooooo good the next day! The owners are awesome and we will be coming back every time we are in town. Thanks Muldoons!

Service wasn't the friendliest which I found to be shocking considering I've heard amazing reviews about this place. They also have a small parking lot so it might be hard to find a parking spot. Bought a pasty frozen to take home with me was super duper excited to try it and I was let down big time will not be going back ever.

I have a Cornish grandmother so Pasties have been in my family for over 60 years. These are legit. They are not the same as my families recipe but they are hand made and the variety is excellent. The classic is beef- so you need to get that. Gravy is not something I have ever had but it was a nice touch. We used to make a homemade mustard sauce- but no complaints with the UP version! They even had a apple pie one that is honestly better than the fried pies we get down in the south. The place is CRAZY popular so be ready to wait if you get there around noon. They have pick-your-own-drinks out of a cooler. Prices are fair for the quality you get- but not cheap.

Nice little authentic Michigan spot to grab an authentic Pastie. The restaurant is a converted home, which does lead to some space constraints, but don't let that differ you from stopping in. We had one of each, the beef, chicken and vegetarian, all were extremely hardy and tasted great. The gravy really helped the flavor come out, very flaky and delicious.

Had to try these famous pasties!! And let me tell ya, the classic pasty was absolutely delicious!! I wish I didn't live 400 miles away, but I will make it a point to go here whenever we come to the UP from now on!! Best pasty I have ever eaten!!! And their slaw is on point!
