If you want the best sandwich and local atmosphere, please stop at this Lava Mountain. Firstly, I must tell you about the sandwich. It was called a "Big Nino," and had mortadella, salami, cheese, veggies and something I can only describe as crushed olive spread with olive oil on a crunchy ciabatta bread. One bite, and I was transported back to the streets of Italy outside a deli in Florence where they just expertly created this sandwich for me. It was that good. Now the atmosphere: this place is clean and cozy. They also have a wide variety of local creations like pottery, handmade candles, honey, seasonal veggies, and a various assortment of imported Greek products like salt, olive oil and tea to name a few. You may pay a bit more, but the quality and service is worth it.

This place is awesome!Wonderful staff who are extremely helpful with their menu and super nice.They have a small menu of coffees but not too small, and they still have great variety as well as seasonal beverages. The decor and signage is super helpful and super cool.They also have baked goods and merchandise. You can buy coffee beans, cold pressed mugs, and all sorts of cafe related accessories for your kitchen.The drinks are good and the sitting areas are spacious and comfy.Highly recommended!

Great place! The owner is from Greece 🇬🇷 and has brought some of the Greek food here to share with others. I just visited Greece a couple months ago (of posting this review) and can attest to quality and flavors being authentic. Great coffee, great food, great service, and great atmosphere!I had my personal favorite coffee that I had in Greece, the Freddo Espresso and it brought me back to our trip to Greece! It was fantastic!Definitely recommend stopping by! We plan to come by every time we are in the area!

Used to be my in-between work wifi pit stop when I needed one, and love the high top seating bar.. coffee was usually good, sometimes inconsistent but also a great place to stop instead of the corporate coffees on the high traffic coffee hours when you can get immediate service here. Can often be nice and quiet too for studying with enough privacy if you need to have a meeting.

Wanted to stop and express my thanks to the Lava Mountain Coffee Co team! Outstanding experience!This was my first time visiting. I must have driven past this place numerous times, but never noted they were there. I was using my vehicles map app, hit the coffee icon, huh, lets check them out.Walked in and was greeted right away - everyone was courteous. Ordered the Cafe-miel, hot. Steamed milk, espresso, honey, topped off with foam and cinnamon. Gotta say, this drink was prepared to the perfect temperature. The young girl, I should say stellar barista, handed the drink off to me with a smile. You could tell she was proud of herself, and should be - kudos to you! The core of my drink was their outstanding quality espresso. Combined with a touch of honey and cinnamon - awesome.SUPER-BIG THANKS to all of you! I'm looking forward to coming back, and want to share this experience with my friends and family from the area.All the best...

Was extremely impressed with this Coffee location. I got a cozy chai tea latte and hubby got a hot chocolate and breakfast sandwich. The sandwich was amazing! Can’t wait to come back to this location.The food/drinks are a bit expensive. But a nice treat!

The location is well put together with a nice layout. There is ample seating and with low tables and a high bar section as well. A modern look with crisp lines. The roaster is the highlight of the building and cool to check out.The staff was friendly as was the manager/owner that introduced himself to everyone and thanked them for coming in.The cold brew was deemed very good by my coworker and the iced latte is good and refreshing as well, perfect for a scorching day like today.I look forward to returning and trying some of their other foods in the future

Really great ambience in here. The coffee is always delicious. The sandwiches at first glance may look slightly pricey, but it's because they are near artisanal and pretty large. So delicious. Many different little seating areas to sit down in and cozy up. I always have great service when I go here. One of my favorite coffee places to hunker down to get work done.Wheelchair accessibility: Large open floor set up, no tight corners. No stairs.

Unexpectedly modern interior! My 16 oz white chocolate mocha with oat milk and espresso cost over $8 so prepare for that. But the atmosphere and decor were great, plus the coffee is delicious!

This place is amazing!! Very friendly staff and great atmosphere. They were willing to make me a special drink because I read the menu wrong and it was everything I'd hoped for in a coffee! The Greek yogurt with granola, berries and honey was delicious and looked beautiful!! The new BLT was also very good and worth every penny. 10/10 we will be coming back.

Great hidden gem in Lake Orion. Service is amazing, atmosphere is outstanding (and comfortable) and the coffee is awesome. If you're in the area and love coffee or just looking for a great place to relax with a book and a warm cup, give it a try.

I’ve been to a lot of coffee shops in MI and never one that has groceries from Greece and Italy like this place. Even our finest gourmet grocery stores like Holiday Market and Nino Salvaggio don’t have these products

I saw this place from the corner of my eye while traveling on Lapeer rd. It looked inviting and was I was not disappointed. What a freaking find! Been to coffeehouses in 24 states and 36 countries and you will be hard pressed to find a more inviting coffeehouse. The service was good and I was greeted instantly when I entered. I feel this is a place that had great design that invites you to look around every corner. I never quite know when purchasing whole bean coffee what to expect, the shelf talkers and the barista led me to get a satisfying roasted coffee bag for home. It was a bit warm and I settled for a raspberry frappe that was not sickenly sweet, but just right. If you were ever around this area, it warrants a visit.

WORST customer service. The two high school girls behind the counter never said hi and when we asked a question they acted like they couldn't be bothered with us. Never asked how they could help and acted like they didn't know anything about coffee. We came in to buy coffee and left with nothing because nobody cared to help us. Won't be back.

Stumbled upon this coffee shop while visiting family, now we stop every time we drive through Lake Orion. Seeing their roasting equipment, I assume they roast the our own beans. Their espresso shows it witha smooth flavor, not smoky or burnt like that national brand. ;) They have a really great selection of syrup flavors including flavors not available in many coffee shops.The atmosphere is slick and clean yet comfortable. I would happily meet a friend for coffee or a business associate for a meeting.

Favorite place to go for a coffee and a sandwich on the way to work. Every aspect of this place is top quality, zero compromise. They roast their own beans and with every product they take the time to do it right every time. Great atmosphere and free wifi if you'd like to stay longer to do some work or studying. Not the cheapest, but everything they make is 100% worth it! I will go out of my way to come here and experience the quality they have to offer.

I've passed by this place many times and finally decided to give it a try since I'm a coffee addict. This place is absolute magic, like the Disney world of coffee. These people have poured their heart and soul into each cup of coffee they craft. The people are extremely hospitable and are very proud of their work. They also have smoothies and teas as well as baked goods. I'll definitely be back multiple times to give everything a try!

In town for a concert at Pine Knob and on our way out we happened upon Lava Mountain. Great atmosphere! Lots of delicious options and friendly staff. They aren’t very efficient but we had time and eventually all got what we ordered. Try the breakfast sandwich (but add cream cheese) and the Kats PB&J was a hit also.Definitely worth a stop if you have the time!

Excellent service, great, reasonably priced coffee, but the pastries were exorbitantly priced - $6 for a bagel with nothing on it and $6 for a stale, cold lemon muffin. Also, the prices weren't listed on anything (now I know why), so you don't realize how high the bill is until you get the receipt. Woof.Go for the coffee, skip the food.
