Cyclist heaven...a small coffee shop on what seems to be a popular bike route along Lake Leelanau. Nice outside seating in the shade, just a handful of two-tops inside. A couple of cute little shops next door. There is a good place to park off to the side of the building that seems good for cyclists to park at. The Cafe closes early (1p on the door, 2p acc to Google), so come early!

It was my second time to Pedaling Beans and I will continue to return. The staff is the best part - kind, engaging, full of lightness. The food - pastries from 9 Bean Rows and fresh baked peanut butter cookies. Hard to argue with that. The coffee - what a delight. I got a hazlenut latte with oat milk - nutty, delicious, hot and perfect. I hadn't planned to stay but the atmosphere was welcoming with soft music and cozy seats facing the windows, so I ended up relaxing with my hubby and enjoying a surprise respite in a lovely place. Highly recommend.Vegetarian options: Pastries and cookies !Dietary restrictions: As with many coffee shops, I recommend being aware of nuts ! If you're dangerously allergic, I'd probably would skip this shop.Kid-friendliness: Fun, calming and safe.

This place is so wonderful, I wish I could duplicate them and bring them home! They have my favorite drink - a chai latte, and almond milk, which is wonderful! The atmosphere brings chill, friendly vibes and great outdoor seating (perfect for bringing your pup). Parking on the left side if the right is full, and easy access to pull up from the water. The young women who are behind the bar and register, are incredibly wonderful, and the woman who bakes all the yummy items is hardworking and friendly. This is a fantastic spot that remembers faces and drinks, and creates a welcoming, positive vibe for all. When you stop in, be sure to pop into LL Narrows next store!

Got the order wrong and the owner was very rude when we kindly asked for them to remake our 4 drinks that we spent over $25, plus tip. She was very blunt in assuming the mix up was our fault. The two young girls making the drinks, were very sweet and professional, maybe they should run the coffee shop!

Great service and really fun atmosphere! Very well decorated! The avocado toast and frozen pb mocha are my favorite 🤤 but the coffee itself is the best I've had and the breakfast pastries are always delicious!

Most of the time I have a good experience and a great drink. I’m taking off 1 star because they often close early or change hours without updating them anywhere. I’m taking off another star because it can be luck of the draw on which barista you get and not all make the drinks the same way, so the taste is inconsistent. 70% of the time it’s great.

I have been to a few coffee house/ restaurants in the area and, so far, this is my favorite. Being a high-tourist area, I get the feeling from the other places that they don't really care about their customers (since the next 3 are walking in the door, already). At Pedaling Beans, I felt appreciated as a customer. The person who took our order was happy to me there and joked around with us. We stayed and visited over an hour and never felt rushed. We even ordered some smoothies 'to go' when we made our first order (over an hour before we left) and they were happy to have them for us when we left. - no complaints about how long it took us. I would highly recommend this coffee house.

UPDATE 9/13/21. 1 Star changed to 4 StarsOwner contacted me with an explanation and sincere apology. I responded in kind.Their mocha and blueberry muffins are delicious. I suggested that when an order has to be corrected that it should be moved up on the priority list to reduce wait time, and a few simple words like "sorry for the wait" would have gone a long way to smooth everything out.‐-------‐-------------------------Horrifying experience.Only reason why there are aren't a string of one star reviews is because most people that come here figure "why bother".I ordered a large mocha with an extra shot of espresso and blueberry muffin. I waited and watched as 10 people behind me received their orders. When I inquired, no one acknowledged me, until 5 minutes later when my name was called...my order was wrong...small instead of a large and no extra shot of espresso, which I had already been charged. I sat and watched as 6 more orders were filled. I asked if they could please fill my order before finishing others. When they did, they rolled their eyes, pushed it toward me with a smart aleck smirk, as if I did something wrong. A simply remark apologizing for the delay would have been appropriate And, but instead, an angry older woman appeared and shouted "Is there a problem?" Before I could respond, she yelled "Get the hell out of here!"My friends and I were astonished until we spoke with other business owners in Lake Leelanau that said they had the same experience with this business. Their hurtful, insensitive behavior was followed by more shouting to "never come back!" Lol...as if.Simply the worst.When this place goes out of business (sooner than later I'm guessing) I'm sure their former jobs as prison guards will still be waiting for them. What a stain on this otherwise bucolic village.

I've been stopping in for coffee at Pedaling Beans for years. Great coffee, beverages, and some light food choices. They have a comfortable inside seating area to enjoy talking with friends or use the wifi (there is a picnic table outside too). Their restroom is clean and large. Also they are located near the only bridge crossing the actual Lake Leelanau for miles around.

My husband and I have enjoyed our daily visit to the Pedaling Bean while vacationing in Leelanau County. The staff is very friendly and the pastries, burritos and Avacado Toast are delicious. I'm not a coffee drinker but my husband and kids are and they all enjoy their morning coffee here.

I love thier cafe latte, as close as I can fine to an Australian style flat white. Pretty yummy scones as well. They keep a bunch of bird feeders well stocked so you can watch them and enjoy the cozy atmosphere.

This is my favorite place for my signature drink- frozen Breve with an extra shot of espresso, caramel sauce and whipped cream. Try it. You’ll love it!!! And don’t forget to grab one of the 9 bean croissants as well.
