We had a great stay at Hidden Haven cottages with our family for a wedding! The location is fantastic as you can walk to all of the restaurants, shops, the beach etc which we utilized all of those! We were in the main house and it was very spacious and such a cute cabin up north feel. The cabin was very clean and we loved that there were 3 bedrooms and a huge living room area.There were a few things that could’ve been improved such as the bed sheets being very thin and cheap feeling, the cookware in the kitchen was lacking, and the smell of the cabin was a little musty..but definitely not things that would keep us from coming back. The new owners are amazing and were very accommodating. We had a problem with our TV working and they were quick to help out and make the situation right. We will definitely be recommending these cottages to others and will stay again in the future!

This place is a hidden treasure. I stayed in the main house, and I was so happy with the cleanliness, the service and the amenities provided. The lake is one minute away; literally. The grocery store is also a minute away. Everything you need to cook is available, and the quality of it is better than most rental homes I’ve been in.

We had a cottage reserved for a one night stay. We were never informed as to what cottage we were going to be staying in until 8:00pm the night we arrived. No one was in the office so we had to leave a message and drive around town until someone called back. We were told we were in cottage 6. When we entered it was absolutely nasty. It smelled like it had been recently smoked in and the overall condition was very poor. We did not end up staying here. However, they did work to resolve our cancellation and refund quickly.

We come here every year.My whole family does& it's such a cool place. We each get our own cabin& hang out together at the firepits& just enjoy.Cabins are so cute with bathrooms,kitchens(small but useful) The owners here are fantastic. This is a place to stay 2 blocks from the beach, shopping, restaurants, everything else you need to get away& have fun! Prices are good! Complete with towels,soap,shampoo,dishes,& pots& pans.We will continue to come every year!!

First off I would come back here simply for the hospitality! The manager Melissa was fantastic and even helped me pull of a surprise for my husband! We enjoyed the country feel with the convenience of being right in town! The kids loved running around in the "back yard" and having a little camp fire! We rented the house ( on accident, but it was wonderful!) and we loved it. That being said the house is in need of an upgrade in some areas. The twin/full bed were perfect for the kids and they thought they were comfy! The queen bed however was not comfy and made it hard to sleep. The pillows were very thin and uncomfortable but that is an easy fix, bring your own! The fan in the bathroom didn't work and the lights witch area was broken. I just started housekeeping work here and the owner is very accommodating. She allows pets, and there's deer hanging spot on site!... If you are into the whole hunting thing!All the rooms are very clean I would definitely stay here if I didn't live a block away!

Mellissa, your cabins are FANTASTIC !!! I so much enjoyed staying here. The cottages are very comfortable and clean. I can't even complain about the bed. It was quite comfortable. The kitchen ... was alot more than what I expected. A full size gas stove, a large fridge, a coffee pot and a full size sink. I will be back up during the same time next summer. Thank You. These newly renovated cabins are adorable! The owners are super sweet! They keep making updates. I am excited to stay again soon! I have family in Cadillac. It's close to downtown and I can walk to Tasty Treat which my dog Dino loved!!! I recommend this place to everyone! They make a home feel to it, even have extra chairs and Firewood for the Firepits. Its a great place to stay and relax!

Me and my family have been coming to lake city for over 40 years, this is THE best hotel/cottage we have stayed at. You’re able to speak to the owner directly and she always picks up the phone. She is more than willing to accommodate any of your needs and takes pride in the cleanliness of the rooms/cabins! I recommend this place to anyone in the Lake City area.

The cottages themselves are pretty clean and comfortable. Perfect for what we needed. Getting a hold of someone at the office can be kinda hit or miss, when we got there the office was empty and after finally getting a hold of someone they said they were going to be back in about a half hour, so we went to dinner and the person called my husband and said they weren't going to be there long, so my husband had to leave dinner, go pay for the room, then come back. We also had friends who stayed in the area who said they were denied rooms there for the same dates due to it being full, but the night we stayed only 4 cabins were being used. It was really convenient for us though so we will probably be back in the spring.

Just stayed recently after about 3months. The new owner is amazing,helpful and very nice. The layout outside with the fire pits are individualized so u dont have to mingle.( covid smart!) And the insides have been remodeled but they are better than before. Thus is a must stay. Especially if u have kids or dogs. A good taste of the country here. Thanks Haven Owners. A repeat for me!!💚

Awesome, awesome, awesome! U booked my room over the phone and they were extremely accommodating to my awkward schedule. The cottage was small but had everything I needed for a two night stay. (Not consecutive nights but they let me keep the same room without charging me for the intervening night .) I received a call from management to ask if everything was okay after arriving. Clean, warm and newly renovated. I'd definitely stay here again!

Location is great! Management is very nice. Loved the firepit surrounded with big trees. # 9 was in the back. One room with refrigerator and coffee maker. Bathroom had nice sink but no towel bars and needs new wall tile. No screen on one window. Mattress goes snap, crackle and pop when you roll over. New carpet and nice recliner and small table with 3 chairs. Not classy but cozy.

My whole family rented almost the entire place here.Best glamping ever! Cabins have every single thing you need!!I loved that each family had thier own cabins,bathrooms, kitchens!I 4got to mention how cute they are! The furnishings,curtains,towels,rugs all new!Also the owners,management are so kind& responsive!Idw to say too much because I need openings to book 4 next year!We all can't wait to go back!Just one thing! They have it all,down to silverware& shampoo,but no grills..

Up north for a family reunion and booked a couple cabins for Friday through Sunday. Price was pretty decent. You have to keep in mind these are cabins and not a hotel or motel so you have to have the mind set of a "cabin" going into this. If you are turned off by a few bugs or things out of the ordinary this location may not be for you.There were a few things that I would like to see improved but all in all its cabins so we were ok with everything.We were in cabin 3 and the few things would be the toilet is loose the bed was really squeaky and the from porch was really dirty so we tracked in alot of dirt.It was good time staying there.

We loved our stay at Hidden Haven! The new owners are working very hard to update these adorable little cabins! Some of our favorite things: easy walking to everything in Lake City, a great pavilion which the guests are free to use, AC and wifi in the cabins, and very friendly and responsive owners. We're looking to our next stay!

I was in town for business. I stayed here four nights. The 1st night I arrived it was late and I was exhausted. As I opened the door to my one bed cabin, I was flabbergasted at the clean, warm, and beautifully cozy cabin!! The manager greeted me the next morning to ensure my needs/expectations were met upon my check in. The walk ways were salted, what appeared to be everyday, as it was mid Jan. and there was snow and ice. I enjoyed my stay a 110%, and would stay here again in a heartbeat!!!! Thank you so much!!

It is always my first choice when I come to the area. Comfortable cottages with the 'up north' feel. Owners are regularly doing updates and upgrades and are always warm, welcoming, and go the extra mile for a nice stay. Easy walk to food, drink, lake, parks, etc.

My wife and I just spent Labor Day weekend here and found these nice cottages to be clean and cozy. A nice setting in the pines and very quite. Walking distance to the lake, restaurants, and parks was a big plus. We will definitely return.

Very nice cottage. Everything was well kept and clean. Owners were very pleasant and friendly. Location is very convenient, allowing for day trips to Mackinac, Traverse City, Ludington... Definitely a gem in mid Michigan.

For the price this is a great place to stay. Very clean lots of space quiet close to restaurants close to the lake for beach access free WiFi cabins come with sheeps and towels pots and pans everything you would need. Only an hour away from Traverse City and Sleeping Bear Dunes. Small town big potential. Definitely recommend you stay here

Clean, cute cottages. The rooms seem recently updated but the bed seemed like it was from the Carter administration. Good, basic accommodations for a couple or a family. Close to downtown Lake City and the beach.
