The last few times I tried ahopping here, the doors were locked when they were supposed to be open for service. Can see employees inside. Guess they just lazy or don't wanna work. So they just leave the doors locked to avoid doing any work. Welcome to 2024 lol

I usually have a good experience at this family dollar…. However, tonight when I go there with almost 25min before closing the doors were locked and there was 1 person sweeping and three people behind the register that I saw not even 3 hours prior while I was in there. They just looked at me and laughed when I tried opening the door (before I knew they closed early). Lately the store has just been disgusting looking, nothing is ever stocked, a couple of the women behind the register act like you are scum of the earth when you’re checking out. The manager lady is always friendly but most of the employees lately are just super rude.

At least 5 times that I have gone they were closed in the middle of the day for a "20 minute" meeting. When I worked retail we NEVER would close in the middle of the day for a meeting. Really ridiculous.

My experience was great until I got to the check out. The person behind the register was complaining about ppl coming in and she was unable to stock. I really don't appreciate being told that she would rather lock the doors and stock than having customers that will spend money there and guarantee that she has a paycheck. Maybe she needs a refresher on customer service and job security. This was the location on Cork street in Kalamazoo Michigan.

My experience was wonderful shopping here. The cashier Kathy was very polite and friendly. This store is very well stocked its better than my hometown Family Dollar. I will definitely be back to do more shopping.

I've formerly worked for Family Dollar Stores...The Store Manager was very pleasant and the store is beautifully remodeled.

Your cashier a black guy very nice. The white guy is always in the store working I assume he is a manager he is always stocking and customers really go through things and throw them down on the shelves that were hanging making a total mess and more work on him. That is probably why he don't have a smile. I won't either, but he anytime I have asked him about a product he always is very helpful and polite. My only thing is I wish that location would except EBT.

We most always enjoy shopping at Family Dollar. This is a busy neighborhood store whose mission is to supply their customers with an amazing inventory--clothing, cooking essentials, lovely soft towels. You name it, they likely have it at Family Dollar. Always clean. Out of 5 stars I'd rate this cork st location of Family Dollar a great big 5 !!!!

Employees are neglectful of their station. I was in there today and people were waiting to be checked out and others needed help but the 2 guys (who seemed stoned beyond function) were absent on the floor and anyone could of walked in and shoplifted and or robbed the place as there was no employee to be seen for a long time! Please replace your current employees with vigilant alert employees who are there to help their customers and stay up front by the door. Also, using your bathroom was a travesty. Why was there poop and urine smeared on the toilet and the sink was clogged with toilet paper and shredded paper towel? Does anyone clean these things? Your 2 guy employees are absent-handed and lazy all around. :-( I will never visit this store again. I also reported this store to corp.

I dont think its right that you go shopping at family dollar on cork st. in kal, mich. When you get to the check out & put your groceries & personal items on the check out to be rung up and i said i had foodstamps & cash both. The person at the cash register says Oh we dont take foodstamps. I looked at him & said wat? Since when? So a lady came up to the front & said is there any thing u really need out of the groceries? We can do that? So the way she worded it was like ok as long as its like 2 or 3 things then its ok. So i picked out the loaf of bread & coffee creamer, sugar. Plus i had some personal items also to pay for. But when he got done ringing every thing up it cost $20.00 in cash? After the way she made it sound!!! WONT GO THERE AGAIN!!!!! Plus NO sign saying they dont take foodstamps any where posted.....Thats not right.....

Prices are pretty good. The store could use a few more people working. There was only one person working and the line got a little backed up.

I'm always greeted by a pleasant hello and offered assistance with finding what I am looking for . The additional food items in the fridge and freezer section is a great improvement, and the convenience of the location is a blessing .

There was no one at the store the doors were locked and there was no sign saying they would even be back or anything. I tried to call and no one answered... I was there 2 times in the last 2 weeks and they were just closed. At least the other day there was a sign telling people on the door.

Very bad at opening up on time 😪 especially when parking lot is full, not good for small community who depends on the 9:00 am opening as I heard from others that it happens almost daily
