We've been to this establishment several times, and although the prices are VERY high compared to other similar ice cream shops, the convenience has always been worth it. Our most recent visit, however, was not a good experience. There were several young ladies who were the BEST example of customer service; friendly, helpful, and engaging. The owner, however, was the one who took our order. He was EXTREMELY rude to us, and to another guest who happened to be waiting for her order. He tried to tell us that what my son had ordered would be "too much for him, and we'd end up throwing it all away." To the young lady behind us, he accused her of ordering no cherry instead of no nuts as she had requested, and scooped the top of her sundae in the trash, filled the cup with whipped cream, and handed it back to her saying "There. No nuts." He tore around the seating area as if angry about something, which made a lot of the patrons very uncomfortable. He wasn't welcoming or kind to any of us and acted as though the busy Labor Day weekend was a burden. If he expects people to continue to visit his establishment, he should be a better example to his staff.

I'm not usually a complainer but the young ladies that work there need to wear clothing it is a ice cream shop where families bring there little children and also the owner needs to be aware of the F word tattooed on one of the young ladies back side leg .... the ice creams good service is not bad Thank You

I went there on a busy Saturday and I ordered cheese curds along with my ice cream, they had me wait for about 40 minutes and then when I asked them when my cheese curds were because I'd already gave me the ice cream, they replied with if you want cheese curds you're going to have to get back in line. Mind you the line is about 30 minutes long. So the customer service has a lot to improve on before I will revisit.

The ice cream is good and everyone is very friendly. Just keep in mind that it is busy ALL THE TIME. Pretty much sums up how good the place is.

So good! Love the atmosphere, wonderful customer service, the ice cream was amazing - like seriously they know how to make a perfect flurry! It was mixed ALL THE WAY TO THE BOTTOM. They're serving sizes are great, you order a small and get a pretty large amount.

What’s the Scoop is the greatest feature Hudsonville has to offer. Great food, great company, great music - what more could you need?Every single worker is friendly and fun! They always put those cute little candy eye balls on my children’s sundaes, and I have 13 children… very appreciated.Sometimes I bring a tent and camp outside of this establishment for the night. I have separation anxiety when we are apart.Nothing but good things to say. 10/10.

Delicious ice cream every time, with extremely kind staff who answer any questions you have about the menu, and will fill your order promptly and with a smile. There's enough seating for small families, or a large friends group as well as outdoor seating for those of us who dislike air conditioning. Would recommend.

The ice cream is good. The outdoor tables are nice. I do wish though, that the owner would require the girls wear more respectable attire. Their shorts are so short you can see rear ends hanging out in some cases. Not exactly 'family friendly'.

Great shop, could use some better organization as it's easy to get bottlenecked when people are waiting for orders and ordering at the same time. Staff is professional and customer service is great. They do tend to speak too fast and softly for me to hear and understand consistently.

The ice cream is so good and the prices are reasonable. They have been packed every time we have been in. I love that they have soft serve in other flavors than just chocolate and vanilla. I have not tried their actual food, but I plan to.

Great service, great ice cream and a few food offerings that don't disappoint. the prices are spot on and you don't have to break the bank to get a tasty treat during the summer. The outdoor seating is pet friendly!

We visit once a week and sometimes more. They serve yummy Hudsonville ice cream and have quick fried foods that you can snack on. The girls behind the counter are friendly and work like crazy to make the lines go quickly. Speaking from experience, the line inside goes faster than outside.

What's the Scoop?...is the main question on where they will end up. Revive was suppose to take over their square footage yet something must have been worked out. It is a great location for the corner hot spot in the summer. Soft Serve and Hard Scoop ice cream. Recommended.

Good variety of flavors, but they need to put a trash can in the outdoor area. Also some umbrellas in the outdoor seating area would be nice or something to make the patio a little more comfortable

The prices at this place confuse me so much! The ice cream is good cause its Hudsonville ice cream, but I could get 3 kid size soft serves for about the same price as one small. How does that make sense?

Other than the random nostalgia cone, I see absolutely no reason to go to any of the other ice cream shops in the area.. just came here for the first time at the recommendation of a family member and wow.. fast, clean, polite, indoor and outdoor seating, and best of all, really good ice cream! #grasshopper

Walked up to outside window on a Sunday evening. No other customers outside, only a small handful inside. Waited more than eight minutes before leaving due to no service. A customer inside even pointed us out to no avail (and we had rung the service bell when we arrived, too). Went to another place that was way busier, got served in less time and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

It's always a treat to visit What's the Scoop ... literally. The staff is friendly and helpful. They are quick and efficient even when the place is packed. We've been going for years and it's still my kids favorite.

We love What's the Scoop!!! Prices are cheap for the amount of Ice Cream you get. Friendly staff, the owner's great, and best of all, you can eat indoors on a crummy day!
