My experience with Weed Man has been great. They have been able to rejuvenate my lawn after another company had damaged it. Recently, when I notified them that their aeration process had damaged a pop-up emitter on my lawn, they gave me a credit in the amount of more than double the replacement cost. More recently, when I didn't meet the deadline to get a prepay discount for the coming year, they worked with me so that I could still receive a discount, which is above and beyond my expectations. Thank you, Weed Man Lawn Care!

Customer service is unprofessional, and didn't know the meaning of cancelling and not wanting service anymore. then tried to play it out as im a bad customer for cancelling. On top of that i got very tired of being called about additional services. The workers who did the weed service were good.

I have attempted to get a job with this company and they have proven to be unreliable. I had a phone interview scheduled for a Remote Call Center position at their Holt location with Noah and he did not call me at the scheduled time. I reached out to Noah and Eric and both of them did not respond to my email, text message, or voicemail regarding the interview. I would have appreciated a follow up with either rescheduling the interview or reaching out to me to let me know they were not going to be able to make the interview.

Weed Man is very effective, my father was a customer for many years, and now that I have inherited the property I will continue to make use of their services. I just prepaid for my entire summer of mosquito control, and Sara did a great job helping me out, thanks Weed Man!

Weed Man has always done a good job with my yard. Yesterday, while one tech applied fertilizer, the second tech picked up twigs and branches, and piled them at the edge of the road. This was unexpected, and deeply appreciated as I just had surgery 10 days before on my broken arm, and have been unable to do this myself. Thank you!

I am enjoying my beautiful lush green weed free lawn. It fills me with pride when I walk outside and see it. We have had there service for 2+ years and the lawn looks great. This company borderlines harassment with the number of calls I got from them last year. I told them no, I don't need lawn care service, and they need to stop calling me. They asked me who takes care of my lawn, and I said my husband does. Then they had the audacity to ask to talk to him instead of me. I hung up and blocked their number. Apparently they got a new number though, because they're back and have called me twice in the last 3 days now. Blocked again. I honestly considered them when I first looked into their service, but with the rude and excessive calls, I will never give them my business.

My neighbor used their service and they spread their product all over our driveway and as far as past our house. Huge mess. I called and left a message. My husband called and someone answered and a guy came right out and used a leaf blower to remove it. Still found some in my flower beds, hopefully it doesn't kill my perennials. They said it was a slow release weed killer.

We've been customers of Weed Man for several years now. The improvement in the appearance of our lawn is remarkable. Since we've been getting regular applications by Weed Man, there are virtually no weeds in our lawn and the grass is definitely looking very healthy and vibrant. I would give a 3.5 if I could. My house/yard is new construction with seed & hay on top. I had way more weeds in the back than the front. The first application did a fantastic job on the weeds in the back, killed them off withing a couple of days. Then I started noticing that after every subsequent application, I would have different types of weeds popping up.I had aeration and seeding dome last month. I noticed that the aeration did not fully cover my yard. I have patchy spots and the aeration did not touch some of them at all. They drove their little vehicle so fast that a through job was not done. I will have to wait until next spring too see how good a bob was actually done.I've canceled future services for now, I will have to see if I will be using them again.Services: Weed control, Lawn pest control

We had a few issues that were promptly and professionally addressed. Ownership has an investment in good customer service and really made sure we felt taken care of. The office staff was happy to help as well.My husband has always done everything for our lawn but an injury early in the season put him out of commission. The services allow my husband to heal while our lawn was maintained from a fertilizer and weed control standpoint.Above everything, we appreciate the local business approach/care. First and foremost, it is helpful as a consumer to understand that Weed Man ONLY provides fertilization services. If your lawn is in need of overseeding or aeration to generate new growth, you will have to be referred to another company, who may or may not ever actually reach out. Perhaps it is my fault for assuming this was a comprehensive lawn care company that would develop a customized treatment plan for my lawn's needs - however I do not feel this is accurately advertised or marketed by their door to door salesmen. Furthermore, after my concerns were expressed after a full year of treatments and lack of desired results, I requested to have services placed on hold while I awaited this referral to the other company. Despite the hold on my account, I still had technicians sent out twice. I did receive the reminder call the day before each of these services and returned the call both times, leaving a voicemail explaining that I did not want treatment. Regardless, the techs still showed up, and I had to directly ask them to leave my house due to unwanted services, despite a desire to avoid face to face contact during the COVID pandemic.Secondly, one of the days that I was charged for treatments were inaccurate, and the tech had actually gone to the wrong house and treated my neighbor's lawn. Upon addressing this with management, I was questioned, and a technician had to be sent out to inspect my lawn to ensure there were not beads present in my lawn. Only after this was confirmed was a re-treatment scheduled. Sure, mistakes happen - but wouldn't you think the techs should be confirming they are at the correct address?Finally, dealing with Marnie in management has been a nightmare. While trying to come to a solution to ultimately give us the lawn we desire, she was belittling and condescending. She told me that it wasn't her fault that as homeowners we were not capable of seeding and raking our own lawns, and that "wasn't her problem". When I explained that I had expected her techs to monitor our lawn's progress and expected them to prescribe or recommend a different treatment option after the initial plan was clearly not working, her response was that "they don't do that at Weed Man."Bottom line, if you want a cookie cutter, one-size fits all treatment approach to your lawn, you may be lucky and have their products work for you. However, do not expect the technicians to actually evaluate or propose a customized plan based on your lawn's needs. And, heaven forbid you are dissatisfied with your service, you will not find understanding or compromise from management. Overall, I would prefer to take my business elsewhere.

This is the first company I have engaged to take care of my lawn. I’ve had many offers through the mail and never got around to signing up for any. But when a young man who was courteous came to my door and offered services that my lawn needed I could not resist it. I now see improvements in my once neglected lawn. All my questions have been addressed by people who sound caring and knowledgeable . I would recommend Weed Man to any one who wants personable service!

I hired my first lawn care provider, Weed Man, last year. I got a quote and even added Mole Guard and grub control. I contacted them for re-treating, which they did. I had more weeds and more moles than ever. I contacted them to receive some credit back and all of the folks I talked to didn’t matter as they continue to call me demanding payment. Their last email was, sorry but you received the service so you need to pay. Way to stand behind your services and products. Even one of their own techs commented in writing that there were weeds etc. Don’t use a service that won’t credit you for a legit complaint. Plenty of other companies that my friends have used. Don’t use them...

The door to door salesman was polite but unwanted, then the first phone call I received was pleasant and after going over pricing I told her that I was not interested in signing up for anything that day and would want to talk it over first. I never got back in touch because I'm not interested but they took that as business consent and not long after I come home to a sign in my yard and a bill in my mailbox. I wrote back to them then came home to another bill today. I called them since reading comprehension since to be difficult and after a very unprofessional phone call with the same exact woman I should now be debt free and my weeds have never looked better. Don't do business with these vultures.

This is my second year going through this company and my yard has never looked so good. Less moles, no Weeds, better grass, they even killed poison ivy for me last summer. And the customer service representatives are very helpful and nice I talked to Manuel Torres and he helped me understand my services more so I'm thankful for that. The guys who have came over to yeart the yard have also been very nice and respectful. I definitely recommend this company.

This company is beyond terrible. If they give you a quote they won't honor it they will just come out and do it then try and charge you double and then play off like they never quoted you that amount. They also won't show up to look at a property they will just show up do it when you're not there and then bill you.If this company "Weed Man" ever wants to do any type of service for you DO NOT DO IT!. They show up and provide their services prior to a verbal agreement or agreed upon schedule despite me telling them that I needed to discuss with my wife and prefer to speak with them before they show (I only stated that I was interested). I asked to keep in touch and never spoke to a representative again they just showed up and completed their service without hesitation. Then demand that we pay them for a service that they completed with no verbal agreement. The customer representative told me that I was wasting time and he needed to deal with his other customers and was very rude. He even threatened to take me to collections prior to allowing to speak with his manager. I was polite throughout the entire conversation. At one point they told me they get calls from customers all the time that did not agree to any service and try to get it for free, that statement alone tells me that I'm not the only dealing with their manipulation. To top it off the product didn't work last year and suspect it will not work again this year. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!Services: Grass seeding, Weed control

They won't return our calls and I've called to cancel the service multiple times. I called before the 2020 lawn care season to cancel and they still showed up. Now they won't even return our calls so that we can pay the bill. I'm willing to pay the bill, but I want to cancel my service. They use very predetory sales techneques saying you aren't committing to anything and they will "send you information," but in reality if you agree to the information, you've signed up for the service and they will consider you a customer. This is what happened to us, so we decided to try them out for one season. The service was fine, but nothing extremely special and depending on the area, it may be a couple bucks more expensive than your local lawn care services. I'd be willing to change my review if they would just call us back, but it doesn seem like that will happen given their prior history.

They will always say that your yard is 5000 sq ft but in reality that's almost doubled my yard size. They only applied it one time and only on my front yard and they are now claiming that I had service in June of 2019 when I didn't even reside at my address until September of 2019. They keep calling me about the service. Do not use them as they are taking advantage of people that sign up for services. They also said I had grubs and applied a grub treatment with out my knowledge and are trying to charge me for a service I never requested. I do not want a reply to this post as I consider it a complete waste of my iq to read the response.Service: Grass seeding

Years ago our family had a Weed Man representative stop at our door and offer a free quote for their fertilizer services; we've been customers ever since ( and by far have the best looking lawn in the neighborhood ). I eventually got in touch with the sales manager at the time to see if they had any job openings, they did, and I became a door knocker myself! It was a great high school gig and I ended up falling in love with the company, and the product. I've worked at Weed Man for the last four years now and continue to enjoy every minute of it and am excited to see the growth in our city of Lansing and beyond.
