Purchased a snow blower from another vendor in early December. Two snow falls later, and the belt had snapped. Went to CJs Ace for a replacement belt. I knew the snow blower I purchased in December would be lucky to make it through this winter since it was a smaller model and there were signs that they had sold me a blower someone else had already returned.I decided to purchase a larger EGO blower from CJ's Ace Hardware and to return the one I purchased from the competitor.CJ's had what I needed which was nice. But not why they are getting a 5 star.They earned the 5 stars because they assembled and delivered my new snow blower by noon that day. I should note we had just had a snow storm the previous evening.They truly went above and beyond.

Very helpful staff.Did not have tamper resistant torx driver bit i needed - told me to go to auto parts across the street. They did have it.Returned and bought small rechargeable led flashlight as a thank you.

Folks here assisted with pointing out the pieces and tools required for a job. I’m capable of doing things and it was still cheaper than a plumber. Leak is gone.

I bought an expensive gallon of paint for a project and the color didn’t turn out as I had hoped. I was pretty bummed and not hopeful I would be able to get it corrected. Jared was incredibly friendly and helpful and did everything he could until I was happy with the color. Customer service is always so great here! Special kudos to Jared!

First time here at this one!!! Went with my brother in law and stopped in for some pellets for the grill and this place was awesome!!!! We got those but I told him we had to walk around and look at everything else that they had here and it was everything!!! Prices were great and the people that work there were friendly and helpful as well!! Go there if you need any outdoor stuff or indoor things tools yard supplies etc… they have it all!!!

I've been going here for the last 3-4 years for anything I've needed, whether that be for paint, pressure washer nozzles, fittings PVC pipe, even bought a lawn mower and had excellent help and was satisfied every visit. I came in looking for a throttle cable, hoping to find something local instead of having to go online. I was greeted as per usual and was asked if there was anything I needed help looking for, I said I was looking for more of a universal throttle cable for a go-kart project I'm working on. The gentleman asked what it was going on, and I told him it was for a small engine on a go-kart. He tossed his hands up, rolled his eyes and said "well that narrows it down to about 500 engines" and then I clarified that it was going on a go-kart and was hoping to get something that was around 6ft long. At that point, I wanted to walk out because he made me feel stupid , but he said we should go check with another gentleman in the back, so I followed. I got pretty much the same reaction, except this cat was a little more sarcastic. He had made it clear that online should've been where I looked because what I was looking for was more of a specialty order. I reiterated the fact that I just wanted to see if anything was local and walked out. I'm not sure what kind of day these gentlemen were having, but they weren't exactly helpful or kind in my inquiry.

I was helped by staff the second I walked in the door. The customer service is excellent, staff are polite, friendly and thorough in providing help finding the right products. The store is very well stocked with many high quality tools and parts for hardware projects. There is a rewards program available to help customers earn points and save money. Rental equipment is available also.

Tonight they were NOT the helpful place. Walked in, asked for help and young man pointed to front of store "aisle 1". Did not move till I asked where then he walked me to the item"there they are. No help just left m e to figure it out. Poor poor poor service I certainly.

Absolutely amazing service! Walked in and they happened to be moving some items around. They dropped everything to help me find what I needed. A gentleman named Justin was so nice! He helped me even carry some of my items. Will always shop here when I’m in the neighborhood!

I have never left a review before, but this time, it's needed. We bought $129 in plumbing supplies and returned them all, as we decided to go a different route. They were all purchased last month in August, which was also the same month that the card expired. I have since received a replacement debit card and was hoping they could put the funds back on that card, after a failed attempt to go to the expired card. The guy at the counter refused to give a cash refund and even called the owner to try to get an exception.. they refused saying that there could be potential fraud on our acct and they are not willing to move the funds to a different card and that my only option is to get the refund back as store credit or keep the items. (I had my receipt, AS WELL as the expired card, proving the date it expired) deffinitely no fraud going on!!The only 'fraud' happening there, is from the store and the owner itself, 'stealing' $129 that doesn't belong to them. We will not be doing business there anymore and we have been frequent customers since moving up here in 2018. We even spent $1200 on grass seed earlier this spring! They lost a customer over their greed. Not happy and will spread the word!

CJ's is hands down my favorite hardware store in Greenville. They always have what I'm looking for and they have the best paint selection in town. Plus I take all of my chainsaw loops there for sharpening - never a complaint.

The team works hard to stay on top of freight, customer service and making the store presentable and clean. Way more personal and helpful than ANY other hardware store in Greenville. Hands down. 10/10 would ALWAYS recommend.

My husband and I purchased paint today. When we arrived home and started painting the paint was far too light. I brought the paint back in and asked if they could darken the paint a couple shades. Heidi was working at the paint counter and gave me excellent customer service. She was very kind and professional and made me feel totally comfortable, because I felt guilty about asking for a change. Now back home the paint color is perfect and I’m very happy. I have always had great service at CJ's and this review may not be as much about CJ's itself, as it is about Ace Hardware in general. Today, I drove 15 minutes to buy an item that the website said was in stock and could be picked up today. I looked all over the place, then finally asked someone where I could find it. Well, long story short, they didn't have it. In fact, I was told it was discontinued. Why is it on the website then? Why did it say it's in stock then? I've run into similar things before, so I suppose I should learn to call before I go but they need to figure this out because I'm sure I'm not the only one to have this problem.

They have anything I'd wanna get my s/o for any special occasion or holiday! If you need something from milwaukee (the only brand we prefer to buy personally) they have it all! Especially when it comes to the packout selection! Extent helpful and nice staff that are more then willing to help find whatever you need!

They are redoing their floor plan and I haven't figured it out yet. It currently looks cluttered, but I am sure it will get better. Their staff is always very helpful and they carry most hardware essentials and more.

The gentleman we spoke with about questions we couldn't get answered at any other competing stores, especially big box stores answered everything within minutes of being there and had even demonstrated how the tools and fitting we were purchasing worked and functioned! I am very appreciative and overly extatic about the information these associates had to offer! Thank you very much!
