We had an idea of what we were envisioning for our florals, and she not only turned our ideas into reality, but enhanced them with her magic and such helpful insight. She even saved part of a plant she used in my bouquet, potted it, and gave it to me before the ceremony as a keepsake—above and beyond thoughtfulness. Shelly was amazing in every way, and I echo all of the comments left in the 5 star reviews prior to this posting. This speaks volumes to her consistency and reliability. From wonderful and timely to vision-capturing and detail-oriented, Shelly blew me away. I had so much confidence with her understanding of and confirming my visions at our first meeting that I didn’t feel the need to meet immediately prior to the wedding day/week (and that’s tough for a controlling perfectionist, but she made it easy for me to let go and trust). Her communications by phone and email were thorough and she never missed a beat. I cannot stress enough how amazing she was - and I hate writing but I’m so so inspired to share this review with the world. Don’t bother with interviewing several florists for price estimates, or for a variety of supplies and rentals, or whatever it is that is most important to you. Shelly is competitively priced, professional, has a huge selection and everything you could ever want, and continues to sharpen her education and stay relevant in the ever-changing wedding/floral industry. Shelly designed all our florals and provided rentals for our 10/02/21 wedding and NO WORDS can describe how talented she is and what a pleasure she was to work with! We had to postpone our wedding due to Covid and she stuck with us through our ever-changing plans. We started emailing back and forth about my likes, dislikes, our budget and she worked with us to offer more cost-effective options that would fit our budget without sacrificing our whole floral vibe/color palette. We gave her a handful of inspiration photos of what we liked for the centerpieces, bouquets, decor etc and she exceeded my expectations with flying colors, she is just so creative and has such a vision. I literally bawled my eyes out when I saw everything in person on our wedding day. Everything was just so beautiful and came together so beautifully. Also, she has a cute dog at her house that you get to meet at your vision appt so that's a plus too!!!

Shelly was absolutely incredible to work with for our wedding in June 2023! She was attentive to our thoughts and ideas to really help make our vision come true for our floral design. I had tears in my eyes when I first saw our venue with the full set up. Shelly and her team did an amazing job with the floral arrangement and words cannot describe how beautiful it was. Shelly was a fantastic vendor for our wedding in October 2020! She was so transparent about pricing, flower availability, and was willing to help us create beautiful flowers for our ceremony that fell within what we budgeted. She was also very willing to adapt to our change of plans due to the pandemic, and even helped to add on some last minute florals for our wedding cake which we forgot to request. My wife was thrilled with her bouquet, and we heard tons of compliments about how beautiful the floral arrangements were at the church. We can't wait to work with Shelly again for our future reception!

I got married back in August 2022 and hired Shelly as my florist. Shelly exceeded my expectations for the flowers for our wedding! She really pays attention to detail and listens to what you want and makes it happen! Shelly was wonderful to work with. She was excellent at giving advice for what went well together to make the wedding day flowers exactly like I wanted. We had previously used Shelly for my elder sister's wedding in August of 2012 and she was fantastic then too. She had everything to decorate the church and reception including a unity candle set and pillars for the flowers. The church and reception were beautiful! Shelly was awesome to work with! On our initial meeting, I brought of few pictures but basically just described the venue, my bridesmaid dresses, and my overall vision for the wedding. She was able to turn those thoughts and pictures in to exactly what I had imagined our wedding floral would look like. The ceremony decor she helped us with took my breath away when I walked in to the room, and the centerpieces and bouquets were stunning!She was so easy to work with, very responsive to e-mail, and created a very easy way for us to make payments.I would absolutely recommend Shelly to anyone looking for flowers in the GR or SW Michigan area!

Having Shelly as our florist was one of the best decisions we made in our wedding planning. She is so easy to work with and has been so flexible with the date change due to the pandemic. We postponed our reception to 2021 but kept our ceremony date 10/10/2020. Since we live out of state and were unable to have a meeting in person for our postponed plans, I searched for inspirations and sent them to her for our ceremony on 10/10. On the day of my wedding I was in awe of how beautiful my bouquet was and was equally blown away by how perfectly she executed my vision into reality. As the mother of the Bride I would like to share our fantastic experience with Shelly's Designs Florist! We were referred to Shelly's Designs Florist by the University Club where the reception was held. We are new to the area so we had to depend on referrals. The day was beautiful! The flowers were just as we dreamed that they would look. Our first visit with Shelly was to meet her and to give her our vision. Shelly's designs is a home based business! You truly feel right at home:). She was really good about thinking of all our needs and asking us great questions that helped her build upon our vision! she keeps you in your budget with out taking away from your dreams. We then met with Shelly a second time to go over everything to see to it we were all set for the big day! December 27, 2014 was the most beautiful day and a big thanks goes out to Shelly for making it happen!

What a lifesaver! I Googled "florist near me" and found myself in front of Shelly's home (aka Workplace/business). Thinking I was in the wrong place, I called from my car to be sure. She then informed me she was an large event florist. She suggested Meijer (it was 6:05pm and other florists were closed), but I told her we needed something for prom that night. Without hesitation, she said she could do a quick corsage and boutonniere. I apparently caught her at the perfect time! She'd just finished working, had some extra flowers on hand, and a heart of gold to have done it for me! The arrangements she made could not have been better or more perfectly coordinated. Thanks Shelly for saving the day!(Disclaimer: This is NOT an ordinary service from Shelly's Designs. She is a large order florist. She just saved my boyfriend's son's @$$ and kept him from ending up with a broken heart!)
