Great small neighborhood market with lots of specialized items. Quality meat market, wide selection of cheese and charcuterie board items, freshest local fruits and vegetables. They have a large bulk food section. They carry a wide variety of craft beers and local wines. Locally made breads, pies, and cookies. Sometimes, they have guest food wholesale sellers in the store.

They do try to carry a decent amount of "gluten-free" "vegan or vegetarian" items. Awesome coffee & beer selections. They have a fresh meat counter, too, plus lots of gourmet cheese. It's worth stopping in & checking them out.

The workers are amazing and not only wonderful at their jobs but also interacting with costumers. The owner however comes of very pretentious and slightly condescending seems like he could do more to make the environment more welcoming for his customers and especially his employees. Wonderful shop overall.

I saw that news article on kingman's market didn't even know it existed so I wanted to go check this place out what a great little market with so many specialty items, this market shows pride in how well they maintain and organize their products here. Most of the items here are pricier than your average grocery store, but then again they sell specialty items that you wouldn't find in Meijer or family fare. This is such a nice little market, if you have never been here I definitely recommend checking it out for yourself.

This place compares to Horrocks Market, just smaller. If you like to cook, this is one of the places to shop in Grand Rapids. The only way to improve, is a bigger building. I will be back..

My first choice in grocery shopping. Best LaCroix prices, awesome produce, wide range of beer and wine, they even have gluten free and vegan items. I love their deli packaged food and take home meals. I could live in this store. Watch out for all the goodies at the checkout counter 🤩

I don’t go often to this store — my Spring visit is to buy a giant pot to place at a local grave I decorate. They always have them. Inside the store you’ll find a renowned butcher case that a come to a few times during the summer for bbq meats, sausages and other goodies. They have also an olive bar and cheese case. Also nice produce and specialty packaged food items. And much, much, much more.

This place is such a gem! My fiancé and I are both foodies, and love to cook, and this is our go-to store for inspiration. As soon as you walk in you’re hit with delicious smells, and the mesmerizing wall of chocolate covered goodies, and candies. The best part is the fantastic meat counter! Friendly, outstanding service every time. Hands down, the BEST homemade breakfast sausage links around, a variety of jerky sticks, huge stuffed pork chops, and if they have the whole smoked chickens, grab one! I was also thrilled to find Cavendish & Harvey hard candies from Germany…a favorite of mine from my childhood. We also love the selection of individually wrapped buns/croissants, and cake slices from Sugar Momma’s Bakery.

Stella from the deli department is fabulous. I called her for cocktail trays for our daughters wedding and she walked me through the entire process and made it fun! The trays were beautiful! We had many compliments on the various trays she put together for us. Kingmas uses the highest quality meats, cheeses, and fruit. So worth it!!!! They delivered-on time- professional-trustworthy-and very helpful. They took off the stress and worry during a time we really needed help. We highly recommend Kingmas!

Purchased flower for my wife for Valentine’s Day, was referred by a friend. Got them home put them in water immediately with the little packet supplied. That night they where starting to wilt. By the next morning they looked terrible. I called down to the market left a message with one of the Owners I think. They didn’t get back with me. I hope I hear from them and I can change my review.Well it’s two days later and the flower are completely wilted. They never called me back. Will not be going back. Kingma’s. This is how you lose customers.

I shop here frequently and live in the neighborhood; giving it less than 5 stars feels disloyal.**But keep an eye out for produce prices when checking out**. I've noticed recently cashiers don't know the price of various produce items and ask each other for the price and seem to just guess. For example, today I bought an orange. The cashier didn't know the price, so I said it was 29 cents; apparently they didn't believe me so they asked the cashier on the other lane who said, "89 cents". And that's what I was charged. The organic oranges are $1.15 so that price doesn't make any sense regardless. (And the actual price was 29 cents.) I didn't say anything, it's just 60 cents, and I just wanted to leave the store after having waited in a long line to check out, but it did make me wonder how often has this occurred and I never realized it?

Kingma's is a great place to grab fresh produce, as well as unique cheeses and meats. You can get plants and flowers there. They also have some tasty sweets. A lot of what they have changes and is seasonal. I bought many Christmas trees from there as well, they drill a hole in the bottom and have the stand straight tree stands there.

Every time I’m in the store no one seems happy or welcoming at all, today that changed. The lovely cashier who had her first day today was so welcoming and polite. Hopefully the other workers pick up that from her. Maybe it’s because I have an alternative look that people don’t care to be friendly but she was a rockstar!!

Great products - terrible customer service. My wife and I have been regulars at Kingmas since we moved to Creston neighborhood in 2019, but we’ll be taking our business to Ken’s and Knapp’s Meijer now. Most recently, the manager aggressively approached my 2yr old daughter and I like a bouncer at 6:03 pm (I wrongly thought they closed at 7:00 pm). He then said, “Hey guy, you need to leave - we’re closed.” This is only the most recent incident of poor professional judgment by Kingma’s staff.

Kingma's has the best jerky--hands down! Everything there is so fresh and they provide such a great selection of quality items. I recently went there as a first time customer and my experience turned me into a customer for life! The staff is also full of smiles and wonderful.

When checking out today, however, Masha asked for my ID and I'm fine with having to provide proof for age restricted items -- but Marsha did not ask the gals name in line ahead of me for her ID; just a verbal date of birth ... and she was 2 years younger than me 🤷‍♂️

The BEST grocery store. I cannot express enough how amazing Kingma's on Plainfield is. Having lived in the neighborhood for the past 5 years; this has been my go-to for all my needs. They have the greatest variety of locally sourced and healthy food. Everything is always fresh.

Top quality, friendly service. The meat market alone makes this place worth a stop. Look out for the expiration dates on the craft beers. I've accidentally bought a few that were expired. You may want to consider purchasing your beer elsewhere
