Fine if you need like one or two things quickly, but not very convenient or an enjoyable experience. There is almost always only one employee in the store, so you often have to wait for them to get back to the cash register from stocking shelves. Obvious that corporate doesn’t bother appropriately staffing the store.The bigger issue though, the exit door has been broken for like 2 YEARS and they’ve just never bothered to fix it? Like they just put a sign up to warn people. A little bit of effort from corporate to make the store look borderline kept up would be appreciated.

Something funny happened today. The man in front of me at the register walked away without his change after paying for his water. The cashier, a somber-never-smiles guy, yelled out to the man as he was exiting the store...'your change'....the man turned and said I don't want it. The cashier then says...Well what do you want me to do with it? The man replied... 'Give it to the woman on line. That was me.He walked out and the cashier gave me the money saying he not allowed to take it.When I was done putting all my items on the register and cashier bagging them just as I'm swiping my credit card the cashier took the money I had place near my phone ( I'd left it there while he rang me up).I asked him what did he do with the $3.25 he said...I put it with the rest of the leftover change people leave behind.I didn't argue about it so I walked away. Stewing. I thought about it as I drove away and felt it was so wrong for this cashier to assume he could just take my money, my blessing.What goes around, comes around!

I have been going to this store for over 15 years and have never received bad service! Manager is so awesome and all of the workers are friendly. Every store needs to have this type of customer service!

I was overcharged for several items.The manager stated they were in the middle of a price change. The Manager didn't have the prices changed before opening the store. She was upset and didn't want to honor the price that was displayed. I talked to another manager that gave me the information I needed to file a complaint. This store needs a new manager. She doesn't care about the customer service and she has had several people-including employees complain.😐

Person working the counter was fantastic. Despite the line being wrapped around the store, they were in such a good mood and we're chatty and making jokes. It made me forget I had waited in line for 20-30 minutes. Good customer service is everything, and they have it!

The service is usually good however today I just stopped for one thing the service was good but the two cashiers were arguing back and forth. A gentleman with a beard and glasses was putting down the other cashier because she did not help what he wanted her to something like that however that was not very professional of him to do that in front of customers even if he is in the right you don't put people down especially in front of customers. If there was such a problem he should have reported it to the manager.

I love these dollar stores. Wish I invested in them years ago, although remember you get what you pay for.

The manager at this location was awesome! I am a couponer and there was a glitch in their system and coupons we're not taken off properly. The manager went through my entire order re-ringing items and reapplying coupons until it worked out properly. I was so thankful for his kindness and willingness to make things right. I will go back to this store on Plainfield before I go back to the Rockford store any day!

Super helpful. Always clean, organized and well supplied. Tonight I needed something that I couldn’t find for whatever reason. One of the workers Coda or Koda was super helpful and found out it was her first or second night at this location. Very polite and helpful. Great job 👍👍 💯 💯

Only shopped here when other near by stores are closed and I only have a couple of items to get. Only a couple of staff members are working at a time, and rarely either one are helpful finding some items. They seem more concerned that my child or I could be shop lifting so they just watch what we're doing and what we're buying. The layout is very crowded making it dark and hard to move around as I'm in a wheelchair.

Don't usually like Dollar Stores as you never know what they will have. But we like this one and can always find items that work for us. You can try new food at low risk because price is low. Good selection of inexpensive seasonal decor. Ideal for party setups.

This store used to be really nice. Now it's trashy, dirty, unorganized. Shelves empty. Stuff thrown everywhere. I've stopped in there a couple of times lately, because it was close but I give up before I find everything I need because it's such a mess. Not to mention the garbage all over the parking lot.

They try! They seem to have a skeleton staff.They run low on items a lot! But they work hard filling shelves and running the front!

Carry a little bit of most things. It's nice to have them in our neighborhood for a quick stop when missing an ingredient for dinner. They do not have many healthy options food wise and no fresh produce. Also, the store tends to be messy.

This store has been our go to for many years. However, the store is becoming more and more dirty. The floor is filthy. The stock is lower and not faced. We would hate to see this store close. Please clean it up like it used to be to keep customers coming. Thanks!

Was in the store today and overheard 2 employees. The one was saying how he had a fever over 100 yesterday but still worked his shift. He had a tickle in his throat that turned into being worse and he wasn't feeling good. Neither employee was wearing a mask, including while waiting on customers. This makes me rethink shopping at your business.

Always dirty. Limited choices. Used to love it because it's close to home and a quick & convenient stop for me. But now I typically have to deal with long lines and slow service.

It's ok. Ive been to worse Dollar General stores. And ive been to better. Every time i come here the cashier's always seem to buay to check you out. But still not that bad.

Never stocked. Stuff everywhere boxes ever where close earlier then they are suppose to some times workers don't show up.. Under staffed... Needs to be clean and organized bad

I really like going there but they don't have things very organized and in their proper place. Especially the discount stuff or discontinued is just all thrown on the shelves.

If you just need a couple of general items this is allot faster than going to meijers. Good place to stop for something quick on your way home from work. They have allot of pet supplies, batteries, wrapping paper, Milk, bread and all of your standard food items like frozen pizza, canned soupes, ice cream etc.They have some clothing items like hoody sweat shirts, pjs and socks and underwear. Pretty simple, quick and easy shopping. I actually think this store is great for younger children's toys. They have allot of toys that make noise and some RC Cars. The D.G. stores are usually a little on the dirty side but like most retail stores now, they are always short staffed which is obviously a management issue. All in all... 4 out of 5 stars for the convenience aspect.

I don't like that employees were not wearing masks during a global pandemic that has killed more than 200,000 Americans to date. I've found that a lot of the low end stored like Menards and dollar General etc you know the ones that appeal to the budget consumer are some of the worst at adherence to the law.

This specific store was very unorganized and difficult to follow the different aisles. Additionally, it appears to be an older store in DIRE need up flooring upgrade. I personally felt it to be a dirty store with no available carts to shop. I will not be going to this particular store again.

Don't know the cashier name, but it was a night shift. Anytime I go in its long lines impatient customers but shes always smiling. Thank you.

They are pretty good with service and if they don't have something on the shelves. Then if you ask they will let you know if its in the back and if it is. They will grab it
