A store with several items easy to locate and recognizable brands. Selection on certain items (pet food, for example) is a bit thin but convenient for most shoppers. Prices are reasonable with multiple sales each week. Sometimes longer wait times in check out as often short staffed. Staff is friendly and helpful when asked questions.

Corporate model does not work well for this store. Every time I go here I see new faces. Doesn't seem like they can keep anyone around long enough to learn about the store. Always hearing, "I don't know"'s and "I'm not sure"'s. Place is clean, in a sanitary sense. Very chaotic and overwhelming if you're not familiar with the layout though. They also don't keep a good head on their merchandisers. I bought a bag of Doritos the other day that expired 2 years ago (yes, not kidding, best by 2016 is printed on the bag by the manufacturer). Also got some Lays dip which was absolutely gross and looked like the lid wasn't sealed properly. Can't blame the store for that but the manager should know what's going on and keep an eye on what outside merchandisers are doing in their store. Corporate needs to step up with a rural policy and pay people the right amount to stick around, learn the store, and own their space. Until then, this will always be just a quick stop for others to grab what they forgot. It could be a place where people purposefully go, especially when the only local grocery store price gouges like crazy!

This is the worst company to work for. They have there employees make up stuff and have there friends make up lies that's not true and when you try to talked to store manager she blocks your number. I was told the day before by and ex employee this is how this dollar general run there business. Then you got your assistance threatening you I'm going get you fired. Pretty bad business. I wouldn't even apply for this store at all.

I often go here to get things that our Byron store does not have. Odd same store sometimes different stock. People here have always seemed to be very friendly. Can barely get in the door before they are welcoming you. Sometimes it gets a little crowded with stock but that just means you're probably going to find what you need.

I was at the store about 1 hour ago. There was 3 people in line only 1 person working . The clerk was going thru a basket scanning items. No customer in sight. We asked what was going on. He went back to get more items she said. Finally came back with more stuff. After everything was rang up he said oh how could that be I spent way too much money. So then he proceeded to go through all the bags and take items off. We left our cart and left. Really ? Who does that ? And the clerk allowed that with all the customers standing in line. Not going there again !!

Boxes stacked everywhere.Cant get down the isles.not hardly nothing on the shelves..My daughter almost had one of those boxes fall on her.OSHA needs to be called on them.

Why when you go there on a day like Monday, it seems like there is always one employee whining about having to do it "everyday?" I overheard this. I rather go to the Lennon store. This is NOT the first time I have heard a bit of whining. Be thankful you're working. Make the best of it even if it's not what you would rather be doing go and get an education and move on to bigger and better things.

The store was clean but busy. There was one cashier and it was his first day. The line was 16 people long and yet another employee refused to open another register. Won't be coming back here. I'll stick with my stores in Flint where they actually CARE about their customers.

I love the Dollar General chain. But most of the stores are pretty filthy and crappy. The one in Durand however, is not. It is always clean the staff is always courteous. I have stopped in there for everything from Easter candy to laundry soap. Always well-lit, clean, organized, with friendly staff. I appreciate Durand DG.

DON’T!!!!!!! Go to this one the customer service is nonexistent they wouldn’t sell me any water because it was sitting on a stocking rack and they didn’t want to do the extra work by unloading it to reach it on the bottom, 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣I think dollar general is her first job so someone should teach her being lazy in front of customers is only going to cause her problems and their company BAD REVIEWS.

Place was busy as usual, ONE cashier as usual!!! With a another employee just walking around! This will be my last time going here, this happens all the time, I will go across street at Family Dollar, they always have 2 employees when its busy at registers

I will not shop at Durand Dollar General any more. No one wears a face mask here not even cashier. Corporate should require all hired personnel to wear face mask. Costumers should also be required to wear a mask. I will not be returning to this store. I am boycotting this store from now on.

Signs all over the front of doors stating " Do your part -- must wear a mask" pictures even show proper way to wear them. Must be store emplyees dont have to abide by this??? Wearing them under your chin isn't the proper way! Do your part!

This place is a mess. Everything is always out of stock or on a cart. 10 cart with merchandise on the floor. No employees working, no customer service. This store needs a ton of help

It seems like the shelves are always blocked with merchandise ready to be put away no matter what day/time I go. Small and disorganized and cashiers can be really unpleasant.

They id me every time i buy tobbaco or alcohol. They usually reconize me and say thing like "i know your old enough". They card me anyway. I choose to spend my money elsewhere.

They Placed my peanutbutter crackers in a bag with loose bottles and cans they were totally smached and waited 20 minets in line befpre they opened a nuther register 😒

Went for cold medicine, got day quil and night quil. I also grabbed a frozen stuffed crused pizza and a pack of smokes.that was my whole experience lol
