I was happy when Dollar General came to town that I didn't have to go to Walmart anymore until they discontinued both of my mousse for my hair that ive been using for over 20 years. Now im forced to go shopping back at walmart. Not happy with dollar general. Get the herbal essence. Curl boosting totally twisted back and sauve Captivating curls. Both are mousse. They only have the most expensive. which most of us around here can't afford pantene!! Get it back until then our family will shop Walmart 😡🤬

Clean and bright, as one would expect for a brand new store (summer 2020). They have the essentials of enough things to get you through, at cheap prices without feeling too cheap. Great stop if you forgot something or don't want to run all the way into Houghton.

Nice to be able to get stuff at 9pm on a Sunday night without having to drive up to Houghton. Chassell needed a business like this. Wide selection of health and beauty products, cleaners, groceries and other stuff that a dollar store offers.

Dollar General stores are admired here in the Keweenaw. Since industry just had the stores added..it's what I call "gemstone level business"to the tourist industry here.
