12/10 would visit againI didn't even know there was a fish store in caro. We live in Mayville and we were traveling down to the pet store in Lapeer and since we've bought our fish here in Caro we don't plan on going back! They've got a large selection, and various other pets as well! Our kids loved it.

I purchased fish Christmas Eve to add to an already existing (well running tank ) we have had no issues with health water or fish for 5 plus years . We added a pleco (algae eater ) and 3 simple gold fish from your store. W/in 2 days the pleco passed , I passed it off as he didn’t like it here. No biggie. A few more days go by and one of the new goldfish passes , now there is one of our older fish seeming I’ll as well , we tried ich treatment etc and by 1.5 week now have lost every single fish in our tank. ( after all this to call your store to simply say please don’t sell any to anyone else to have it denied ) I don’t ask for anything , other than to check your tanks. The girl was rude and condescending !! We are heartbroken 💔 to have lost over 5 years worth of our pets. All due to adding a new addition 🤮. To be treated that way was very disappointing! I sure hope others aren’t treated the same !

*EditDeliveries are understandable but the state of those animals enclosures are not, as for the convict cichlids, from personal experience they can absolutely not be kept with other fish due to their aggressive personalities. The fact that you are selling a spider ball python was enough to make me want to leave the shop and write a review. After 20+ years of experience I think some professionalism would of been learned.*End editWent in today to look for snails and check out what other pets were available, store was cramped and enclosures/fish tanks were very dirty. They had a Spider morph ball python for sale which are known to have neurological issues and poor quality of life. Convict cichlids, which are horrible tank mates, were being housed with other fish. The ferrets did not have water and were being given water with a metal nippled bottle that could chip their teeth. Ferrets are very quick to dehydrate and need constant access to water. Other cages had little to no clean water available to the animal inside.

The staff is always very friendly and they have a good selection of small animals to choose from. I've gotten many guinea pigs and a hairless rat from them in the past and all were healthy.

Went back to tropic fish & pets for more crickets... 😁 So much fun in there. Large variety of tropical fish, snakes, and lizards. Friendly staff and fair prices. I would definitely recommend checking it out.

Every person that I have encountered here has been so friendly, and SO helpful. I had to replace my daughter's favorite fish, Keith, and they had one that was almost identical. They even helped me locate it, even when I could only give a vague description. I would recommend this place to anyone! I will definitely be returning!

Went here to check out their reptiles and wasn't disappointed. They have a nice size collection as well as they have birds, fish, rabbits guinea pigs. They are friendly and very knowledgeable. They have plenty of pet supplies and food.

**UPDATE** The gentleman owner is very kind and understanding. I did take a sample of my water in for testing and it was pretty bad, I can't remember exactly what all was wrong with it but I do know it was low in oxygen and there was one other thing. Anyway, it was my fault the fish died, and with that said he still said to come back in 2 weeks and have the water checked again and if it's good he will replace the fish free of charge... No, I'm not going to have him do that. I'll have the water checked but that's it, maybe buy another fish 🙂 if the water is ready.*Original post ~ I've tried several different times to buy fish there, they always end up dying the same day or the next. I bought an Angel fish today and this evening it's dead. Taking it back tomorrow. I'm just glad it didn't kill any of my existing fish.

Very helpful. My family went and picked out some fish to add to our tank. The girl working seemed to have a general knowledge of each type of fish and what would coexist easily. I've only had plain feeder gold fish. It's nice to have a variety, it definitely completes my tank.

very disappointed. I am all for supporting local pet stores. But I cannot support this pet store the live animals at this store are not being cared for. I've been here multiple times. They cages are absolutely disgusting. The reptiles are in stuck shed they don't have correct humidity for the reptiles no hides for them to hide in. Their store is kind of gross but I can Overlook that if they took care of their animals. the rabbits, the guinea pigs, small animals and parakeets all their cages are gross they're walking in their own filth it looks like it's been weeks before they even clean them. The fish are kind of gross I've had multiple fish aquariums big small you name it it's not that hard to keep them clean. it's not that hard to take care of animals in general especially if that's your money maker. If you can't hire help to help you don't overstock yourself then.If you're going to have a pet store then take care of the pets that you're trying to sell if you cannot take care of the pets do not purchase them to sell them. you're hurting the pets and the customers by doing this. the customers buy the pets that are not possibly healthy and illness and death and then they're out of their money and a pets.

If I could give zero stars I would... this place takes horrible care of the animals there, it’s so compact. There reptiles aren’t being fed correctly. They’re baby bearded dragons do not have the right type of lighting. Or bedding.. everything there is so disgusting it’s horrid to see... my boyfriend and I just went there to get crickets and I’m iffy on even feeding them to my bearded dragon.. this place needs to be shut down... it legit looks like a hoarders place for animals...

My family have been going here for the last 6 months and we've got 2 hermit crabs, 2 lizards, 7 pet mice and everything needed for these pets and much, much more! They have great price's and wonderful people working there! I won't shop for my pet's or pet products anywhere else!

Hi, there’s no voicemail on your number it just goes to a fax line. My husband brought home two frogs and I was trying to contact you because I only have one tank and they appear to be covered in white spots and both of them have skin shedding in tatters on their faces. This appears to be a fungal infection and I do not want to infect the frog I currently have and cause issues in my only tank.

This is a great place to get your next family pet they've got everything from fish,bird's,snakes,lizards,rats,mice crickets,rabbits,guenue pigs,frogs and hamsters and much more!! Also if you need pet supplies they have all of that too!! My family just got 3 lizards,2 rats and 5 hermit crabs from here!!
