A nice gourmet grocery store chain that is a privately held independent specializing in locally grown items. We were lucky to visit during Cherry Fest. From locally grown cherries, homemade bakery goods ,cherry popcorn, salsa and even brats. The store is super clean and organized. They offer fresh produce,a juice bar, premade meals, huge cheese selection as well as local beers and wines. This is your one stop shop next time in the Brighton/Howell areas.

So Fresh and So CleanUpon entering the store I was immediately struck by how obviously organized and well presented all of the products were. The lighting in this store differs greatly from the typical florescent lighting that you find in many grocers, which left me feeling cheery and motivated to peruse the shelves. There is an in-store Starbucks with affable staffing, and a Sushi counter with fresh dishes offering a great variety and good prices.Staff with smiling faces busily stocking shelves asked if they could help me. They were able to lead me in the right direction. The butcher's counter is a central gem of this Brighton store. There are not many sources for fresh meat and seafood in Brighton that are as easily accessible as this, and that offer as many delightful options. Today, excepting the Orange Roughy, all the seafood was fresh (never frozen) and Workers behind the counter were eager to assist and help me find great alternatives to meats they didn't currently have in stock. I was pleased to find that they were offering a GREAT price ($1.99 lb) for Bottom Round Roast. Also, this is THE PLACE if you are searching for locally grown and sourced foods and drinks. This is a prime Michigan Busch's, proudly displaying the best of The Wolverine State's most delicious regional fare. Before checking out, I found end-cap warmers stuffed with unique looking prepared foods. (see Pot pie) Feeling at ease, I found the fresh and well appointed produce section, providing ample space for customers and their carts. Refreshing. It has to be mentioned that the self checkout was clean, uncomplicated and provides paper and plastic bags. I will be making this my regular shop especially when looking to entertain friends with a great selection of fine cheeses, craft beers, wine, crackers, olives, meats! The list goes on and on.

Fabulous shopping experience! From the look and friendly inviting feel, to the well stocked shelves and unique categories. The meat department was very professional and old school counter service was a nice surprise. The fresh serve deli made you buy more but the aromas made you do it! The egg salad with dill is tops. Service was exemplary. Spartan needs to bring that look feel and style to the Traverse City and northern Mchigan market..and fast.

This is my family's grocery store. It's literally the only grocery store that we frequent, besides the occasional visit to Target. Shopping here is a pleasant experience because the staff are friendly and the displays are clean/organized. Going anywhere else is now stress-inducing by comparison! Special highlights: the sushi counter, meat counter (oh my gosh, their shish kebab!), healthy/fresh deli salads, and their wine selection. Thank you for the shopping carts with racecars attached. Great way to get through a shopping trip with an antsy toddler!

We shop Busch’s every week and during Lent they have a Fish Fry on Fridays. Haddock 🐟 or Catfish 🎣 with Hush Puppy, dinner roll and coleslaw.

A lot of their prices are high compared to Meijer and Kroger . They have some good choices for already made food for you to take with you and serve.

Such friendly and helpful employees,!! And all of them seemed happy to be there. In the half hour I was there I spoke to 6 different employees. Two that guided me to items I was looking for, one that helped me find a particular product and even offered me to get more stock from the back, two in the meat department and the cashier. They have some really good produce and also a very nice meat department. This has somehow an old-time feel to it and was completely a different shopping experience than when I went to another grocery store. The store is a little bit out of the way for me but I will start coming here more just because the people are so very nice.

I had the worst experience with a donation request from the store manager. She not Only discriminate against my organization based on our location they were only donating to brighton address or schools. She had an employee call and tell us that because we didn’t have the right address we weren’t going to be given a donation for teachers appreciation week. Then told me if I decided to change the address and re-submit then maybe the new manager would consider it. We are a surroundings school in the community that supports the Brighton location. I personally live in Brighton and do school of choice and use the brighton store for all my party tray needs. All the manager needed to do was call and simply say. We received your donation request and at this time we are not able to do anything, but please keep us in mind for future donation requests.Just annoyed that because I don’t have the right address you won’t support our teachers.

Wonderful service at the "butcher market". Thank you !! There was a pre order fresh Maine Lobster sales event ! Starting Friday afternoon. Great $$ to go with the wonderful product (I had 3 to pick up) The counter was VERY busy; yet, it was nice transaction. And, I saw the team of its associates treating everyone kind, patient and made sure everyone left to enjoy the weekend.

One of our favorite places to shop for groceries with unique (and often Michigan local) items. The produce section, although not extensive, offers excellent quality. The meat and seafood counter provides similar high quality products and we find the cheese selection in the deli to be excellent.

DO NOT EAT SEAFOOD. Got scromboid poisoning (bad tuna) and had to go to ER for immediate intervention from their sushi stand 2 years ago. They did nothing as it’s a contractor in their store, had to report to county myself. They did say that one of their staff also ate it and was puking in the parking lot, not sure why they told me that tbh.Bought oysters this past Sunday, got home and they were inedible, called immediately and staff said no problem, we will issue refund. Go to be said refund, given hard time by manager and had to be apart of an awkward exchange between a nice employee and a very rude manager to said employee and myself. They would only issue a gift card refund, even though I said I do not want to shop there ever again and that I was assured of a refund. Guess I should have learned the first time.Meat counter staff have always been helpful, hence the 1 star.

Very nice clean store. Pricey compared to Kroger or Meijer. Higher end often, but seems like less options generally. Prepared foods are very nice. Although they have good options, I was expecting a better craft beer selection.

I've been trying to find this water local ( Grand rapids) and there is none. I called to verify they had this water and 10 cases. The lady on the phone was super helpful and friendly. She verified they had 10. I placed my online order for 10 cases. The person working the online orders called and told me she had it ready. Drove there and it was at the front of the store and not to mention the staff I talked with were super nice and friendly. 10/10 staff made my day. 4-1 around 130pm. Thanks again.

Very clean grocery. First time after my move, to the BrightonMichigan store.Staff are very helpful. I needed a few specific items and had no idea where they were located in the store. As soon as I entered employees were stocking and offered help.I was directed to the cake area, and rewards center. The same employee also found the salad dressing of choice for me.Customer Service helped me wit a rewards card for sales.Hungry now, the hot deli items are great. Hot pasta, chicken pieces, potatoes, and salad area with caesar salad choices, including protein.Check out was quick. Cashiers are helpful. It was the best grocery experience ever. There is also Starbucks coffee at this location.

It really does pain me to write this review, since I have been using this particular store in Brighton Michigan for a number of years now, when it was originally VG's Market.VG's was a family business and had a very low staff turnover; it wasn't high end by any means, but it was easier and on par with the Kroger's next store for convenience. Plus the staff was certainly more numerous than the much larger Kroger's next store. When Busch's first came took over, it was a marked improvement in selection, in quality and in store ambience. The staff was friendly and helpful. I particularly liked the meat counter and the people who were working there. So, I am writing on social media since I know that companies often pay more attention to this than just a general complaint. Here is what I found in shopping today:First, the store area in the front is just dirty. The carpet in front of the bottle return looks like it hasn't been swept in awhile. One machine, again, is not functioning. Why? Because the bin if full and cannot accept anymore bottles. I alerted the staff. Nothing was done. The bottle machine faces are sticky to the touch; could someone PLEASE wipe these down occasionally? The return buttons don't work, so you just wait until the machine figures out you are done and then gives you your bottle slips. The one remaining can/plastic return machine ran out of receipt paper. I had to wait 10 minutes with multiple requests to have someone please come and fix this machine. I was intending to go inside and finish shopping, but I was so discouraged that I simply went next store to Kroger's.I talked with an employee in the store; no, I will not identify that person as either young or old, male or female, because I certainly don't wish anything negative to happen to that person. I asked "what is going on with this store?" It just isn't the same anymore. The answer that I got? "Management doesn't really care; it's all corporate now and we just get by the best we can".How sad. So, this is what we have in Brighton: a very fine Meijer's, a Kroger's next store to Busch's, an Aldi down the street from Meijer's, a Costco down the street at Green Oaks Mall, an independent bakery and meat market (Marv's Meats and Marv's Bakery".I'm not a crank, and it just saddens me to see this happen. I am so fortunate to be able to spend as much money as I want on groceries and not I tend to buy a lot of high end products and am not so concerned initially about price. I used to shop at and love Hilliers; a much close experience to Busch's than shopping at, say , Krogers. However, people wonder why individuals just give up and shop somewhere else. Often people are surprised when business just give up and move on because the customer base declines. Maybe this will provide some insight.I do wish Busch's the best, but I have so many other choices that it really isn't worth the grief for me. Very sad indeed.

OK, STOP Playing Hide and Seek with the Weekly Specials, just Annoying and a Cheap Marketing Trick. Put the weekly specials that Members get Up Front, just a Busch league move.EVERY week I have to hunt for the special, be proud of it and Show it off, instead of ALWAYS Hiding it.Fish options are much better, but why do they put it out so late in the morning. Last couple times it still had not been put out at 10:30 ? If your having a special on a certain fish, etc, at least put that out so people can buy, common sense.Wish they would have a better fresh option with their poultry side. Meat looks good, but better options on healthy choices, and wild game would really help the store if it wants to become a little better than Kroger.Bakery needs to pick it up, always looks like an after thought instead of a showpiece like other stores. Please invest into new hand dryers that you don't have to touch, thank you.

I hardly ever leave bad reviews but I spent over an hour grocery shopping at the store just to get to check out and they tell you that you cannot sign up for the “points card” in store. In order for me to get any of the sale item prices I would have to leave all my groceries go home sign up for the card wait for a number and come back and purchase those same items. Never thought of this idea has the worst customer service brain in the world. Even though I did like some of the items it is definitely not worth the “full price“!! And I’m definitely not going to the hassle to sign up for a “points card” for a store that has this type of policy.

Quality sums up Busch's. They have a terrific meat and seafood department. Produce is always the freshest around. Great wine and beer selections too. A great boutique grocery that I'm glad has a store in Brighton.

We did a very large online order. I called the store first and spoke with Debbie. She just asked that we give 24 hours on the order. I has no problem with that. They called me at the end of picking the order to make sure any substitutions or anything were fine. The order was ready a few hours before pickup. Everyone I spoke with was so incredibly nice and courteous. The selection of fruits and vegetables was just like I picked it myself. Very impressive. They have made us loyal customers!!!!!

Great place and great service. I don't do disrespect. When your employees feels its okay to turn their back to you while you're talking to them and not even acknowledge you, I have issues with that. Not cool at all. That makes it not such great service. Highly disappointed in what I thought was a good local store. Kroger officially has all our business now.
