Another great experience at this location. They're renovating part of the store so it's changed a bit but we've found a great place to get yarn for our daughter here. A great wall of yarn to choose from at more than fair pricing. The staff at this location are always happy to help. We consider it going to shop anymore, it's more like visiting friends. Of course AJ was there to make sure we had found what we were looking for.

Great full service grocery store, connected with True Value. Very busy because of the summer season, and expected prices. Good selection of produce, meats and gluten free items. Camping supplies, craft supplies, and impressive Wine/Craft beer selection.

I don't like to leave bad reviews, but I feel I have to. I've been going to this store for probably 50 years since it was just Farmer John's. I have to say that since it's been Family Fare and I have gone in there at least 30+ times, there have been many times when there's always some kind of problem with getting the sale prices, and coupons, and even availability of the products they advertise in their flyer to coordinate with my final tally on my slip. Every time I go there I come out confused and upset. The store itself is nice and the workers are great though. It's the company and system that's the problem.

They are remodeling the store, and it looks like it will be amazing when it’s complete. They have pretty much everything we’ve needed. Hardware area is always helpful for one stop shopping. Liquor selection is outstanding!

Great place to shop. Our Church uses the chicken from the deli for funeral luncheons. They are very accommodating, friendly, and the customer service rocks!

Employees are nice and have always been helpful. The prices are fair on some stuff and absurd on others, so just pay attention what you buy there. We have lived here for 8 years and preferred the stores produce and prices when it was shop and save.

I would like to commend Family Fare of Benzonia, MI and A.J. the store manager. Monday through Friday this store sends damaged grocery items, close date dairy items, produce and bakery items to the Senior Center for seniors in our county. They donate a huge amount of extra food that has helped so many seniors through some difficult times. Thank you AJ of Family Fare for donating so much for the produce Bingo every month. The convenience of having a small well stocked fabric department in town is AWESOME!! I have avoided many trips to TC because Shelly keeps the most needed items in stock. Kudos to the corporate office for keeping this specific department during their reorganization.

I'm writing this review after a very positive experience I just had at Benzonia Family Fare on Black Friday. I can't say enough about the cleanliness and organization of this location. The last few times I've been in looking for specific items, AJ has stopped and talked to me to see if I needed any help finding something. The staff at this location are in a good mood and always willing to help customers. Today I was able to find what I was looking for and it couldn't have been at a better time. Thank you.Tom Morrow

Returning bottles is a problem at your store the bottles return machine does not work for 15% of bottles and cans sold at there storeThen a manager is making snide comments about the returns and questioning wether they sell that brand Goslings ginger ale Oatmeal stout Peroni and st ambrose to name a fewWhere is customer serviceJust frustrated

The Fare is a well stocked large store with essentials as well as not so essential stuff 😀. Clean store. Nice deli and produce department. The other super nice thing is the in house hardware store as well. The hardware section has saved my bacon several times, with a surprisingly large selection of those needed items.

Basic supermarket. Not a particularly wide selection. Tiny bakery section. Produce section on the small side as well. It was clean and tidy. You can get what you need but don’t expect to find the particular brands you are used to.

Ever since Family Fare took over this place from Shop n Save, the prices are much higher and there’s even less merchandise to choose from! There’s also rarely ever more than one check out lane open, so be prepared to use their self checkout lanes, which doesn’t accommodate you for bottle returns or purchasing stamps. Also, if you want to use their senior discount on Wednesday, you have no choice but to use the regular check out so be prepared to wait in a long line!!

Clean. But the prices are, and always have been OUTRAGEOUS. Better off driving to traverse for a grocery haul. Shop here if you need something quick, but I don't know how any families afford to feed themselves if they shop here solely. It would seem they are competitive to have the highest prices. I feel for the families of Benzie County. These stores run a monopoly on the citizens.

Love this little place everytime I go up there fishing and everything they definitely got what im looking for. Either from food drinks or fishing gear they got it. A bit expensive but that is expected for being a small up north town.

It was expensive as Shop N Save and it's the same as Family Fare. But, we live where we do. The deli is convenient, the hot food is good, the pharmacy is a God Send as are those who work it, and I have always found the staff super friendly and ready to help if you address them like normal people and your equal. The store is clean and stocked and organized. I always find what I'm looking for quicky. And they offer some higher end brands we otherwise would have to travel to TC to get so overall I support this store as a local.

We enjoy shopping here. The food is good and the people are friendly. It is a little expensive, but not unusual for the location, and they always have sites on sale at a very good price. We bought country style pork the other day. I cooked it with bbq sauce in my slow cooker for about 7 hours on low. Super tender and super flavourful!

Extremely busy. Produce is good for the most part. Deli chicken is great. I wish they would have the graph shop and save had showing how busy they are at certain times. Don't like the fact you need their yes card to get savings which will go into effect when they get settled. This was one of the reasons I stopped shopping at family fare to begin with. I miss shop and save already. Can't see much savings as things have gone up.

Prices could be better, great selection of produce and beers. Nice breads from Stonehouse as well as FF bakery. They have about anything you could need.
