Despite my last review; they had gotten in touch with the pound we got our cat from and they have worked out an option for help and I do appreciate the extent they are going to make sure she’s okay. Just like children, animals hold a special place in our hearts and most people will do anything to make sure their fur babies are okay.

Took my boy in to get him fixed. They called me and told me to wait a little longer then the original pick up time because he tore out this stitches so they had to stitch him back up. After I got there to pick him up, they said he tore his stitches again. This time they told me he had to stay because he lost too much blood. When I asked if he would be alright they told me they couldn't promise anything. It was a very emotional night away from my boy, as I'm sure it was very emotional for him too. Nobody thought of putting a cone on him? Come on. Who beings their dog into a vet planning on getting him fixed but has to worry about him DIEING? Anyways this was three years ago. They stopped letting me get the flea pill there because they haven't seen him in three years, which is why I'm writing this. He gets scared when we pull into the lot, I'm never taking him there again. Woulda been nice though if they just let me keep getting the same flea pill I've been getting for him for years. Especially after they sent me a coupon, for their store, to use on the flea treatment I use. But they said they didn't know why I was sent that because they won't accept those coupons anyway. I can get the same thing on the internet for a few bucks cheaper so whatever. 🙄👍🤙

The staff is amazing and the doctor herself was so caring with our husky Sasha. They took such good care of her and kept us informed of everything. Prices are very reasonable as well and I never felt like we were being overcharged for a service. Will definitely continue to go here for all of Sasha's needs.

We have been coming here for almost four years with our Pitsky, even when we moved to Traverse City. Of all the options in Northern Michigan (and the MANY vets we have tried), Bellaire is by far the best veterinarian I’ve experienced. The office itself is home-like, welcoming, and beautiful. The staff is amazing, and your pet will always be taken care of. Doc is the greatest vet I’ve met, she cares for Franklin like he’s part of her own family. They will ALWAYS make sure to prioritize your needs and your pets needs. The cost is most likely the lowest you will find in Northern Michigan. It’s worth the drive: I promise.

My cat snuck outside and came back scratching at a flea. They are extremely kind and were able to take care of Buddy without a problem and he's been flea free ever since! Full of kindness, love, and compassion, I highly recommend this place (especially with Shanty Creek right next door that's full of people having their pets joining them on their vacations).

I've been to a few vet offices, but non have been as amazing as this one. Doctor Loretta is so caring and is willing to answer any concern and question. She's amazing with my German shepherd. Her staff is always friendly, smiley, and willing to serve.

They literally saved my dogs life last weekend!! Highly recommend this Vet and her staff, she truly cares about animals and it shows. This was an emergency situation and they squeezed him for an appointment and then squeezed him in the next day for emergency surgery. My dog is back to acting like himself again and because of Bellaire animal hospital he will live to see another day. I can not thank them enough!

They always get us in as soon as possible and they understand financial constraints aren't always because we don't want to spend the money, but rather the money doesn't exist to spend. Doctor will do her best to figure out the problem without running expensive tests and so far she hasn't been wrong. Very grateful to have such a proficient vet so close!

I scheduled an appointment on Wednesday and was able to get in by Friday. When I arrived my appointment had not been saved or put it, but they still got me in right away. I have two large very high energy dogs, and I was amazed at the quality of care they recieved. The whole staff was very friendly, and my sogs issues were discussed and taken care of right then and there, with suggestions and follow ups offered if I felt like something wasn't working. I will definitely never want to take my animals anywhere else.

I switched all 6 of my dogs to Bellaire animal hospital after 6yrs. At another Veterinarian. Every time I've ever called them about my dogs and it was something they needed to be seen for right away, the answer has always been "bring them in." If my previous veterinarian was busy they would always tell me to take them to the emergency veterinarian. Which they also own and emergency vets. Are expensive. Bellaire animal hospital has went above and beyond with all my bulldogs, and I highly recommend!!

Essentially we took our standard male Dachshund Tom in because he was having trouble breathing and was real sick. Took him in close to closing because that's when our appointment was scheduled. They did a very fast ultrasound on him and determined he had "fluid build up" around his heart. Slapped a 200 dollar bill on us, gave him some pills, said he'd be better in a day or two and sent us on our way.We are almost a week past the appointment and he hasn't gotten any better or eaten in 5 days. He is skin and bones and its a struggle to get him to even drink water. We are going to take him to a more professional hospital to have some tests ran and see if he will be able to overcome this. I'm sure others have had pleasant experiences, but ours certainly was a waste of time and money. We almost feel like we were robbed/taken advantage of. Do not recommend to anyone.

I contacted the Bellaire Vet when my dog was in a fight with a squirrel and ripped his lip open. They were able to fit him in last minute and took very good care of him! He had to have stitches and they recently came out...you can’t even tell he had them! Thank you, thank you for your kind and quick service!

The vet is friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to work with each client on an individual level. She helped me solve a stomach issue with my kitten and he's now clearly healthier and no longer in pain.

My Mom, came in with our sick family dog Hunter and while that situation was taken care of appropriately you treated her with no sympathy nor compassion.We have used Great Lakes Pet Memorial out of TC for the last two of our family pets you gave her no choice on who she wanted to use. What was she supposed to do take him all the way to TC. She paid for him to be cremated and came in to pick up his remains from your front desk personnel only for the woman to throw his things and his remains at my mom over the counter. Would you want me to do that to you or your loved one? Have some compassion and better yet some better communication skills. We will not be recommending this place to anyone.

Confused how they have such a high rating. Came here as a new patient and they were completely rude calling my dog awful names right in front of me. I went here only to get a nail trim, which my dog has never had problems with until coming here, and couldn’t imagine bringing my dog back with how unprofessional the staff was.

Every year we board our pup there on the 4th and it is always amazing and a breeze. I love that their cages have an indoor and an outdoor part so that the dogs can go back and forth. I also love the staff and how nice and amazing they are. We are looking forward to another year here!!

Everyone in this clinic, from the veterinarian and vet techs to the person who so kindly gave us a same day appointment and the person who checked us out was great.. They took excellent care of our dog and gave us clear instructions for after care. We highly recommend Bellaire Animal Hospital.

The staff seems pretty nice however my initial impression was they weren't happy to assist me. But when I came to pick up my pets after sterilization the vet was a little more friendly

Brought my dog in for vaccines, and was scheduled for a booster in three weeks, came back in for the booster, and he was treated for an ear infection, was given a prescription and advised to administer once daily. Three days later my dog had lost his hearing. Nobody warned me about this possibility. When I called back they asked me to bring him in, not as soon as possible, but for the last appointment of the day...they did see him the same day, but I somewhat feel as if the three minutes the Dr looked at him, they could have squeezed him in earlier in the day. I personally will never take an animal in my care to be seen here.

I like the small town vet, everyone is nice. As a first time dog owner I wanted a moment to ask advice, but didn't really get a chance to do that on this visit. I felt rushed, but otherwise a great experience.

The doctors and staff at Bellaire Animal Hospital are professional and caring. They treated my Chihuahua who had a rare disease with compassion. Their facility is clean, and they know the latest treatments. I highly recommend them.
