Knowledgeable & friendly staff. We have received great advice on projects from the staff. I love the 11% every day rebate but the process is tedious with their form and receipts that need to be mailed in. It would be great if they could streamline. I love their seasonal section and food section for unique products. The check out is getting g a little too long with few aisles open and freshly trained employees- but that’s the case just about everywhere these days.

Menards is always relaxing for me. I know that they have what I need to get the job done. I can drift around looking at things before I go to the checkout and maybe find something new. Staff is helpful and they answer questions readily. The selection is good. Thanks Menards.

Purchased a stove, refrigerator, and bathroom siding to be delivered. Originally we told them it would be 2 flights of stairs, then called a month ago and told them 3 flights. Whoever we spoke to said then was fine and told us how much extra it would be which we said was fine. Delivery happened today and the men REFUSED to go up the third set. They left the items in the middle of the hallway. Now my elderly mother has to spend even more money on a limited income to hire movers to finish the job Menards was hired to do. We also set paper along the stairs to not ruin the carpet. Well, they managed to still ruin the carpet by dragging the appliances. Horrible experience with delivery and the supervisor we spoke to. Menards was a HUGE disappointment

We special ordered some closet doors a few weeks ago. They came in stacked on top of each other, so they were dented, and the paint was messed up. We had them sent back, and they assured us they would tell their supplier to pack them separately. We got a call yesterday that the doors were in. We went to pick them up, and the scan bar wouldn't work. We had to go inside. No one knew how to pull it up. We asked for a manager and got J.D. He was rude and condescending. We went back, and the doors were again stacked together and damaged. He said he apologized and said it was up to us if we wanted to take it sincere or not, and since it was the first time talking to him about the doors, it wasn't his problem. He's the MANAGER. We got our money back, and went somewhere else. We have been renovating for months and have spent thousands. It won't be spent at the Battle Creek store anymore.

I have ordered 2 pole barn packages from Menards in the last few years. Both packages were a nightmare to install and source. Menards barn packages use the cheapest materials and the way they are designed. Each piece of metal, roofing, lumber etc has to be installed in exactly the precise place they designed it to be or you will be short. They use the overhead door headers as the ledger board so they kill 2 birds with 1 stone. So you have to buy more lumber to have an actual header over your garage door to install trim, opener etc. They sent our metal roofing accessory box to another contractors job, they set up a delivery for the package so we could start but only delivered trusses & some misc. lumber. They shorted us on lumber, metal siding, drip edge metal. I made at least 8 trips to Menards dealing with this stuff . We have been waiting 3 weeks for the missing metal to show up. Still missing the overhead door rail. Not worth it at all. No bags of concrete to set posts. They send you misc. boxes of nails so I hope you like to hammer nails. Each box is assigned to a specific task with absolutely no directions or location of materials sent. Skip these packages. Just my opinion.

I've had good and bad experiences there. Most disappointing is when the hours on the door said open until 10, and the website said open until 10, but drive a half hour to get there at 9:05, only to find out they are only open until 9. Not sure what the doors say anymore, but the website still says 10. If you call, the automatic voice will tell you 9.

I usually go to Lowe's and Home Depot due to the veterans discount but Menards usually has what the other 2 don't. They also are really good about sending the rebate checks.

I love Menards but the bathrooms in this place are gross. Even when they are clean they are just beat down. It's strange and a major turn off to visit a place that is about bettering your home or business that has the worst bathroom in town.Remodel your bathrooms you have the money and your customers will appreciate it.

The paint department was great. Wanted color match, they helped me pick a paint in my price range. I was afraid to ask if it could be slightly altered, but the paint attendant was very understanding and made the adjustments for me. I was very happy with the customer service.

Just got home from Menards, had an issue in the parking lot with agressive pan handlers.If it happens again we'll shop elsewhere to avoid this group who hang around the area.Update: 5 star rating for taking care of that issue immediately....After getting accosted by agressive panhandling in the parking lot the next time we went no issues.Recently when we parked there were patrol cars cruising the lot and Menards has Security Guards inside and out. (definitely a safer environment compared to Lowes across the street, where some panhandlers camp out in the woods behind Wal-Mart)Menards, really is the best home improvement store out of the 3 available.Menards, you dont ever have to hunt for a employee if you have a question or your looking for specific items.....

I was there on memorial. I asked the first worker I found if she could help me she said “I’m doing inventory“ I said that’s OK I’ll get another worker you could tell she was very annoyed that I asked for help. I was told to get a flatbed cart, I could not find one anywhere! I’m trying to find one and There are many employees standing around. Not one of them asked if I needed help. I had to ask another person where to find them and they were not where I was told they would be. I understand that people are overworked and underpaid but if you’re going to work with the public, you need to be helpful and friendly.

I rented their pick-up truck for an hour. The check-in was terrible, with the customer service employees being rude and inappropriate to me and the rest of the customers. They did not have the essential communication skills to be the face of Menards, with supervisors looking on and doing nothing. I returned the truck in less than 75 minutes which is a flat $19.00. they charged me an extra $5.00 for having it longer than 75 minutes. I objected, and after an extended huddle with everyone working behind the counter, it was determined that I was overcharged $5.00, and they would return the $5.00 as a favor to me but in a store credit which I refused. When I pointed out that the error was theirs, they were inappropriate, with the employee stating she did not owe me $5.00 that the store did, apparently implying I was trying to get her to pay out of her pocket. The whole procedure was filled with incompetence and rudeness. I rarely shop there, but I will never return. They act like they are the only hardware store in the area.

Our checkout lady was very nice as were the girls in the garden center. The service counter lady was the best. Everything was good until we went to pick up the pavers we had purchased. There was a delivery truck blocking one customer in and we couldn’t get to the pavers. I understand having deliveries, but this truck could have parked over to the side so your customers could get the product. The customer that was blocked in was named Brian and he actually helped us carry the pavers to our truck. I was not impressed to say the least.

I've had 2 negative experiences with this particular Menards regarding large orders. Both times the manager that helped me (Heather and Adrianna) were smug and NOT helpful at all, and instead, John was extremely understanding and helpful.Picking up online orders is always slow AF. I've never had a good experience with online orders at this particular Menards.

Went to the lumber yard and was helped out amazingly by the guy that looked like big Jesus. He really went the extra mile to help me get what I needed with a smile. Wanted to find a manager so I could give some praise of their employee, but couldn't find any around the entire time I was there.

They have everything you need! I stopped in to get paint supplies for my living room and I also got a great deal on a huge bag of bird seed, bird feeders, a giant bird feeder holder, planters for a bunch of huge plants, dog treats. Dog chew toys, dog food, cat litter. Youname it!

Our cashier Catherine was the rudest and most unwelcoming individual we have ever seen here at this store. She definitely does not like her job and doesn’t want to be there. Please get someone who is at least interested in customer service to run the checkout. I understand people being unfriendly but this lady was just simply rude and has no business hurting the reputation of this store.

Purchased a 25” vanity. Asked a couple employees to pull it off the top shelf while we shop some more. We came back 20 minutes later and the vanity still wasn’t pulled from the top shelf. No employee in sight. So I wound up pulling it myself. Next time my labor won’t be free!

Got a call from the store manager the following day. There were apologetic for the scenario I had to go through. They are trying to help by covering the shipping cost from the mower I had to order from a Kentucky. Haven't seen how it's going to shake out entirely but at this point it appears that their customer service is doing their best to satisfy me. Until it's resolved I'm reluctant to give five stars. But surely they deserve for for making the effort!

Only takes plastic credit cards for rentals not even debit cards got a thousand dollers cash in my hand and can't rent there 35$ pressure washer even with offering 200$ deposit ...I'll go buy one at lowes thanks for confirming why I always shop there ,hooah!

I have to take the time to say I was in the store Saturday 10/9, looking for crazy obscure items. Several people were trying to help (but they may be new), and we couldn’t find my items. Finally I asked a young girl named Danielle for help, and she knew where everything was! We walked through hardware, as well as lighting and she found me exactly what I needed, and even unsold me a few items. She’s an asset. Great shopping experience!

Ordered pellets for burner to be delivered to our house set time between 7am and noon. Delivery man said they should have never set morning hours. Pellets delivered between 4:30-5pm. Called spoke with GM for store said he would check into and call back, no call back. Spoke with 2nd in charge she said they don't set times for delivery it's any time. So basically I was called a liar. Very poor customer service.

This is a great store with a wide variety of products. I have been able to find several materials to complete the renovations on my new home. The outside furniture is a great inspiration for people who are not sure of what to do with their backyard. I bought a table for my living room here and I loved it. My issue with the table is that the assembly wasn't as easy as expected and people that worked here were not as helpful when loading the table into the car. We indeed needed extra hands as the the table is pretty heavy. The people that work here are for the most part helpful and nice. I have been able to buy products for my art projects when I was in high school and now that I'm in college. For the most part prices are good and the gardening part is pretty good too, but unfortunately I was not able to find a fruit tree that I was looking for and the worker was not able to recognize either which tree I was even talking about. Besides that their gardening section has some great options like strawberry trees, raspberry trees and little plants that can make a lovely addition to your home. I was able to find a mint plant in here without worrying of it having a plague. Unfortunately in other stores their plants are not well taken care of, so I was glad to see that their plants and trees are well taken care of and I did not have to worry about my tree dying in a couple of weeks or the tree transmitting the plague to my other trees and plants.

As per the usual, I went to Menards just for a couple things that were on sale. Came out with a cart full of deals. It happens almost every time. The staff were great. Had a little trouble finding things. Just ask one of the people in the blue vests. They will either walk you to it or tell you what isle it's in. Great great people.

Very good service! Several workers offered to help us fine what we needed and were very friendly. We were able to work with a wonderful manager in the kitchen dept. that was very patient, informative and asked many questions of us to assure she understood what we wanted. We will definitatly return.
