Staff is cool and helpful. Product availability is not bad at all. Prices are what you would expect and at par with other places. Two issues I have experienced: difficult to set up a commercial account and the prices are not visible on many of the products in the store. Other than that, I do shop here and I'm glad the store is here in town.

Great prices but I wouldn't recommend ordering from them unless you can wait 10+ days for your order to be shipped (not delivered). I order from them probably 2x a month and it's always the same. Not sure why they can't ship products quicker. But I'll be looking for a new vendor.

Don't take your disabled friends with you since the owner thinks he is special and parks in the disabled parking spot they stayed in the car while I picked a few things up I may consider a new shop since the owner thinks he can park in that parking spot and I can't enjoy the store with my friends

Such a fun place! They have a little bit of everything for one stop shopping. The staff is super knowledgeable and helpful. I always get great advice and come out with new products I didn't know I needed.

I cannot say enough about how awesome this place is. The owner, Nick, was amazing, he probably took an hour of his time to help us get exactly what we needed. He answered questions, gave advice and great guidance! He cut us an unbelievable deal on what we bought. I will never go to another shop for any grow supplies, or anything that he sells, for that matter. Probably the best buying experience I've ever had, the customer service and personal interest he took in making sure we had what we needed was unparalleled!

Terrible customer service, prices are ridiculous just go to HGS Albion. 25 minute drive saves you 20%. Hours of business are great if you wake up at 11am and don't have a job. By the time most people get off of work they're already closed. That's another reason I drive 25 minutes to Albion they are open much later. Store is always busy and seems to never have enough staff. If this was the only place I could go to get my grow equipment I wouldn't bother growing.

Staff is usually very knowledgeable in answering any questions you may have. They are quite over priced on light fixtures, fans, its great to go look at stuff in person that you may be able to find cheaper online. But if you need help figuring something out, need dirt, bulbs or some random odds and ends for your op this is the place to go! Just wish they would get better about keeping their products in stock, every other time i go to purchase dirt, and i only ever need like 2 or 3 bags, they are sold out of what i need.

Staff is knowledgeable and helpful, and they have an impressive selection of nutrients in all grades and sizes. Prices are unlisted though, usually. A good place to get pots and elevators!

I have been shopping with these people for the last 10 years and I have seen them slowly devolve into a more business oriented than customer oriented facility. It breaks my heart but I can no longer consciously shop here. Looks like Amazon gets all my business.

Management seemed rather upset when a worker was helping me. Management asked how many tanks the workers was counting for me and when worker said 20 manager said why very loud and in a frustrating way... like I was wasting their time buying 20 tanks. I drive 50 miles 1 way to this store. First time I spent over $500, and the 2nd time which is the time I'm reviewing i spent over $300. That's $800 this week alone. Being treated like this is a big reason I spend some much on nutrients and other items on amazon. It's cheaper and i dont have to deal with people like this guy. I'll be back to shop but only for 1 thing. I'll buy my big purchases online. The newer employee that was helping me was wonderful. So was the one that helped me the first time I was there.

Ordered a led light online and a few other items and they removed the light from my order after stalling for 2 weeks saying it's no longer available. I won't be shopping at growgen any longer. This was my first order and I am very very disappointed. I gave them multiple chances to make it right and they didn't. I had built a set up around the specific size of that light, as it was on sale and perfect for what I needed. It's available through other retailers, but not growgen and not at the sale price. Extremely disappointed. As soon as my order went through, that light should have been mine. If it's not available, don't say it is.

I really like the experience of going to big green tomato each and every time. They have an incredible selection in stock! The employees are very helpful and knowledgeable. I just wish it wasn't so far from where I live, but I still make the trip!

I’ve been to BGT about ten times.... every time I get the absolute worst customer service! I don’t feel comfortable shopping at a place where they only refer to me as “that white guy” that’s completely unacceptable!Why In the world would anybody want to shop somewhere where they treat you like you’re stupid and refer to you with a “racist title”Besides all of that...... BGT dose have a great selection and the prices aren’t to bad.

I understand grow generation recently bought big green tomato but this whole “the prices on the shelf aren’t correct it’s actually the new prices we haven’t put up” needs to change. Terrible customer service in regards to this problem, that is still an issue. How can you tell me it’s $15-$20 more because you haven’t put up “grow generations” prices but it’s not that price on the shelf. Terrible.
