Nice store. Yes you pay more vs Menards or Lowes but some items are competitive especially if on sale or using one of their coupons. Service is usually good with friendly and helpful employees. And they carry some very unique items not found anywhere else(example--tear aid which is an amazing repair tape ONLY available online otherwise). I'm thankful we have a store on the Northside that saves us trips to Beckley Road.

Call the store to pick up a specific part, they said they had the specific part we needed, drove 30 minutes to get the part. When arrived they said, "We don't know what you are talking about. We don't got that." Gee thanks for wasting my time, gas and requiring me to drive all the way there at the end of the business day and now I will have to waste half of tomorrow. If you would have just said, "We don't got that." I would have started off somewhere else. "HELPFUL HARDWARE PEOPLE" not so much.

I really like this place. It has the feel of a small town hardware store, but it has the selection of the large home improvement outlets. They've struck a nice balance between the two. Great selection; friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff make your visit both productive and pleasant.

It's neither the best nor worst hardware store. Better than average as they do try and prices aren't too bad for most things. IDK, I guess what drags them down at all is having only one location in a city that could easily do with a couple of more hardware stores. I mean their part of a chain corporation, so expanding within the confines of the same or nearby city isn't too much of a stretch. But for what limited offering they have their mostly on point.

Always go to ace but this time was the most unpleasant trip..bought 2 bags of Scott's weed n feed ..paid $75 . Manager said it was last years.. one bag looked like wet sand..he told me no way...didn't want to refund my money..basically called me a liar and won't look at product.. then cashier thought I was stealing a bag had to fight with her and she had my receipt..worst time ever..will go somewhere else next time..very dissatisfied

For a hardware store Ace has got a little bit more than hardware they've got some camping stuff they got a spice aisle rival just about any store but it's all camping spaces which is good barbecue spices yes they got that there too tools the only thing I don't think they carry is lumber they carry just about anything else and every time I go there they're friendly as all get out up shop there and I'll continue shopping there but if you're looking for lumber try Lowe's or Menards if you're in the area otherwise yet other lumber yards and Lowe's competitor home Depot but as far as hardware goes for nothing God bless

I came in to get my non chip key copied. They wanted to sell me a 89 dollar chipped key and refused to look for the non chip blank on the board. Do it best center of springfield cut the non chip one just fine no issues and it works. Liek i knew it would. Kinda like i knew what i was talking about.

When you're too far from a major retailer this place usually has various items for electronics and has a good hardware selection. They are overpriced on many things and I hated spending over $10 on a 2 way splitter when they average less than $4 elsewhere. They need a bigger pet selection and cheaper prices because they are only a store I go to in an emergency.

Great selection of various items at this hardware. The employees are friendly, courteous and helpful. Selection of nuts, bolts and screws is pretty good, with a section of stainless fasteners also. Some craftsman tools and a nice variety of Stihl power equipment. Check them out, they will most likely have what you are looking to purchase.

We went only for the kids ornament event. The staff member in charge of the activity made the entire ornament herself. Perhaps she thought my child was too young to be involved but he definitely could have helped in some capacity. Pretty disappointing.

A little more expensive than the big box store but, when you need help finding something, they take the time to take you right to the item you are looking for. Plus, if you're a grill or smoker kind of person, they have everything you need.

Not happy at all that I went to purchase a pressure cooker that the on-line store said was in stock only to be told that it is a special order item. I showed the clerk that the on-line store indicated it was in stock and he said "they" are changing things and it was special order. This is one of the reasons Amazon dominates the market. If you say you stock something, it best be there or you'll lose business.

I was looking for items to repair a sink. When I went in I followed behind one of the clerks and he was very rude. I thought he was available to help me but he was very abrupt and rude. Instead of telling me he was working with someone else it was awful.

Amazingly friendly and helpful staff! The store is very clean, organized, and fully stocked. The associates are quick to help and find what you need. We don't shop anywhere else, great place! Highly recommend.
