It's been years now and every time I go past five there is a single line stretching out into the aisle making it impossible to navigate the store. Apparently they had two cashiers going one with their light off and talking to a group of other girls in front of her register with not a single person in her line. I'm not sure if they said this just to pacify my comment of only having one cashier and the 30+ minute check out wait but she definitely wasn't open to any customers. It is clear that this place is poorly managed between this and the fact that you cannot expect to get everything you need here as they are always out of about 3/10 items I need and the vegetables are often squishy especially tomatoes and onions

Look for sales and avoid regular priced...........anything. Cashiers are very hit or miss and often moody. What location you go to will definitely play a role too as there's 4 that I'm aware of in Calhoun County alone. Get used to each location, know what to expect at each one and you'll be happy enough, uh, usually.

Very outdated store with sketchy people running it. Prices were there as everywhere else. Selection was fairly good however.

Staff are great, produce quality can be lackluster, and the fellow patrons can be the real downfall, one of the only places in town that I have ran into many rude or inconsiderate fellow patrons.

Fine for one or 2 items but really expensive compared to other grocery stores.

Local Spartan store. Prices are a little higher than the bigger stores, but they have some good sales if you pay attention. The store is usually clean and the staff is mostly friendly and helpful. Still about the same.8-2023: some prices are lower than Walmart or Meijer, so it pays to comparison shop.

They have good sales on meat...and double up bucks can really stretch the money for anyone receiving SNAP & EBT benefits...which means you can buy $10 a day in produce (daily limit), get $10 in free produce on your Yes card after 24 hours.

I like this store but it is way too expensive! It's double the price of other stores, and considering that you can order food online I'm really surprised this place stays in business. I come here to buy non dairy yogurt and Silk chocolate almond milk which they haven't had in a month. They stopped having carrot juice about a year ago and also stopped having sushi a few years ago, but they still want to charge you yuppie prices but have no yuppie food products available.

Pricey and some employees aren't very nice. Fine if you need to grab a couple things for a meal.

Just walked out of this store without my items because the checkout woman was too busy talking to a co-worker to process my purchases. I got so disgusted, I just walked out and left everything. I rarely go to this store because it is so overpriced. But I will never come here again.

Family Fare is a great store to shop at It is conveniently located and they have great hours 6am - midnight (good for those last minute emergencies) The layout is set up well and they carry all of the products you need Their shelves are always stocked, store is clean and the employees are very nice and helpful Always a smile from them Very good atmosphere it's a comfortable store to go to It says Welcome to the Neighborhood! I would recommend Family Fare to everyone😊

Family fare is a bit too pricy in their items as far as I am concerned.. every time I have gone to one of them some the bread had been completely covered in mold. No it was not outdated either. The yes card is definitely worth having but even then I think the savings just really are not savings

I just went to take cans back and had to wait for a half hour for someone in front of me. Only one machine was working out of three as usual. They need to get them all fixed and working or get new ones in so the customers can return their cans back. I think all of the staff are professional courteous excellent people. The store is clean and well maintained and i love to shop at this store.

So nice to have a neighborhood grocery store that closes the bottle room anytime they don't want to clean it. This place has been poorly run for a long time. I'd say they need new management, but I've never seen any. Just the inmates running the asylum. It would be nice to grab something at night without having to wait fifteen minutes to pay for it. The employees are friendly but theylook miserable. Not hard to see why.

I love that they accept WIC, but $10.99 for a 21 pack of cookies?? Not even a full two dozen. I just wanted to get some cookies for the Valentine's party at work. What is happening to prices??

This store is poorly ran floors are always dirty. They close bottle machines when ever they feel like it as well as self checkouts! I was shopping yesterday and there self checkouts are buged so light started flashing and the black girl that works their and the Mexican or Hawaiian looking guy both walked pass looked at the light and me and my family and laughed so i had to asertatively stop her for help which she was VERY RUDE about and after she finally helped she stated to him her co worker how happy she was that she didnt get promoted and her job is not worth it! Just unprofessional .They are always outside smoking hanging out with 1 line open just freaking lazy!! my family and i have this issue all the time.never had this issue at first tho they where nice and treated us kind and with respect as they should everyone who shops their but turned cold and triffling out of nowhere. They always have attitudes and snicker and laugh at costumers they pick on the customers for no reason. And joe the joke manager was nice but turned mean for no reason. I was shopping with some family with a EBT card for my aunt and joe felt the need to keep blurting it out loud as if I was going to be embarrassed, the lady that mostly works in Costomer service is always nice and says bye while her coworkers act like children I can tell she feels bad and I'm grateful for her because she makes our shopping experience a little better. I'm reporting this store to the better business bureau and calling corporate today. Oh and yes this is every time we come there!

They really need to hire friendly people. There are at least 3 people at the Customer Service Desk, and no one ever smiles and says hello. Even if I try to be engaging, I hear nothing in return. So sad because it wasn't always like that.

It's small so you don't really have to worry about many people, but the shopper to cashier ratio is still off. The prices are also higher than Walmart or even Meijer. I guess that's why it's not as crowded but as a college kid with not a lot of free money in my budget, I can't really justify spending $30 here when it would cost $20 at Walmart. So if you're looking for a nonsaturated shopping experience and don't mind the price hikes on their "lowest prices" it's a nice place.

A little more expensive compared to other supermarkets. They have a decent selection and their produce for the most part is good. They have a free coupon card/Yes Card that you can sign up for free which helps save a bit of money. Most of the time they only have one register open plus a couple self check out registers. The employees have always been great and happy to help if needed.

This store has great people working for them, and as an assets to the community. Remember the old ways treating is customs like friends and family. I have left bags of purchases and they knew who's they were. I watched a person who didn't have enought money and between the cashier and a customer it was taking care of. Not saying they do it for everyone but they get to know the people who shop, most of the staff are ower neighbors and freinds. This company gives chances others seem not to want to. If u go to the food banks guess what u always find there stuff. With that thank u family fare.

Just went to this Family Fare and had some of the best customer service I have ever experienced. They clearly marked the store to ensure social distancing, made precautions to protect their employees and were as stocked as they possibly could be during this time. I bought a large amount of groceries for my family and they had me through the line in five minutes. The workers were extremely kind and calm which kept me calm. All around best experience I have had grocery shopping during this pandemic. So thankful for all of the hard work the management and staff are during. Thank you!

They have a good selection. Our store is clean, friendly and helpful. Fresh produce, some baked goods. There is no butcher but a large selection of meats. Not much veg meat and vegan products. Warning: pricey. I shop weekly at a larger store about 6 miles away. Family fare is 5 minutes from house. Use for midweek extras, catering and weekly sales.

Family fare is a nice and clean store with always fresh food. They tend to be on the very expensive side though. Great for a quick run to the store to grab something that you need or forgot on your grocery list but bad for trying to fill the pantry or stock up if you know what I mean.
