Entering this store was embarrassing to the human race, in my opinion. Their were only 2 people working doing their best. It looked as if a tornado had gone through the store. I could not walk done the isles without stepping on something. I almost walked out in shame. I realize that someone may have been up to no good and made this mess on purpose. I would be understanding then.

0 STARS: Dollar General is the worst retail company. The pay is minimal & non-competitive, the benefits are simply not worth it, corporate treats store employees absolutely unfair, even having workers run stores solo with overflowing freight & messy/hazardous aisles, as well as not allotting enough hours for stores in order for them to properly fulfill their daily duties. It is blatantly obvious that those in the upper echelons of the company are merely concerned about profit & expansion, disregarding the basic needs & rightful wants of store-level workers. Unless this gross misconduct changes for the better, I will not support the company & shall advise others to think twice about supporting them as well. 👎👎

I went to this Dollar General tonight. I accidentally knocked some items on the floor because they were left in the isle. I immediately heard a male employee complain about it to his coworker. He proceeded to approach me and complain about having to pick them up . I normally would have picked them up but I was having pain. I was so offended that I left everything and went to the competitor down the street, where I had great customer service. Too bad Dollar General employees are allowed to treat customers poorly.

This is the absolute Friendliest and Clean DG I have ever been to. I'm switching store. Please don't change anything, the staff are amazing 🤩 I'd give this store sis stars. Every DG should mirror this store⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for your STAFF. Thank you ladies.

The employees they have now are friendly and helpful along with getting to know their customers and striking up conversations with them. It's nice to see the great customer service

There's a young man working here that deserves a raise or at the very least some recognition. He goes above and beyond for the customers all while taking care of stock and running the register. He's always energetic in his tone and friendly. This location is a bit further than other DG from my home but him and the other staff are worth the drive.

I have recently moved to another city and visited the Dollar General there twice. Both times the same gentleman was the cashier and I must say he was very respectful and kind. Not to mention efficient at his job. I also had the pleasure of having another store associate, who saw me struggling with way too much in my hands, not only offer but proceed to go and get a basket for me. I realize this may not seem like a big deal but if you've ever read my posts, you're well aware that I'm BIG on customer service. I also find that human kindness is not as human or kind as it once was! So thank you to the young lady and gentleman at Dollar General for the work you are doing during a time when the world is operating in fear of being exposed to Covid! Also for being so nice while you do it!

The entire store was dirty. Carts filled with merchandise or just empty boxes blocking aisles some shelves were empty while others were over stocked. The floors looked like they hadn't seen a mop in months. The cashier didn't even speak until the end when she asked if I wanted the receipt. With the way dgs pop up I'll definitely be avoiding this one from now on.

I am very pleased with this location… They completely remodeled the store feels so much better shopping here since they changed things around. The staff are so helpful and friendly I definitely love this store and will definitely be making more visits soon.

This place... WOW!!! Not sure if they mop the store cause the same stains be there everyday. They product never be on the shelf but on the stocking carts. Stocking carts always in the way. Throw the whole staff away (except the one younger chick kinda tall and got a gap she cool) they never doing any work just standing around. They never got on any masks. I started driving to the other stores just cause I don't want to go to this one.

My visit today was ok. Nothing special about it at all. Decent sale on candy. The employee looked pretty miserable. Didn't even smile or have any joy in her voice. It kind of kills the joy of the visit when the employee is like blah and doesn't smile

The store is filthy none of the stock is put away I usually have to travel two or three miles to find a Dollar general that is stocked and clean. The store definitely needs new management everyone is always sitting around on their phone. This is the worst Dollar general in Battle Creek. Too bad it is the closest one to my house because I really like dollar general. I have talked to the general manager of the area or the regional and she said things are going to change but nothing has changed this is still the most filthy Dollar general I have ever seen in my life

Store is always filthy. Nothing is ever put away. The toy aisle was a absolute disaster ALL of the toys were on the floor not one was on the shelves. The people are generally rude with only a couple exceptions. Not to mention they NEVER answer the phone no matter the time of day. Not typically one to stop visiting a store because of one bad experience but this store is a pigsty with customer service to match. I will not be back and will be driving out of my way from now on.

They need to shout this place down they are always filthy products everywhere not in the shelves all over the floors went there today with my 3 year old and he wanted to look at cars and when we got to the toys you could not even see the floor or walk down the aisle because it was so messed up and half was blocked off by a bunch of broken toys and toy boxes that was empty most likely from people steeling them and leaving the boxes. nothing is priced you have to ask a worker if you find one and when you do they act like you are bothering them. I also have a nice picture of the toy aisle that I would gladly send to managment if I can ever find there Email. can't believe how nasty and bad it is there I would be highly ashamed to work there.

Its a fire Hazard...its stuff every where in there. They have boxes of clothes,shoes, toys everywhere. Hanging out of crates its a mess, and the employees, said oh well its not our fault.Wow its Sad this Store has Alote items that alote of the other store don't have, but its just thrown everywhere...I won't be back here..I pray someone who Cares....will take over & get it together...so I can feel comfortable shopping here!

The customer services is awful, I’ve worked in the customer service industry for 30 years I’ve worked at places that are understaffed but never have I seen a place so nasty 🤢 it’s pathetic, I’m almost positive there is spoiled food or dead animal in the store cause with a mask on the smell is terrible.. The store really really needs to be took care of ASAP and unfortunately hire better staff, just cause it’s on dope road don’t mean you need to hire the clucks smh

Nothing! I would not have put any stars if this was an ootion! I did all my shopping had two things to get and walked by the manager decal tines not once did they say they were closing, not one announcement! Then she tells me we are closed I asked if I could just grab a pop right next to me she says it's after 10. Yes it was 10:07. So I had a sitter and will now have to remember do all my shopping with my kids but it won't be there!!!!!!!

i was accused of stealing here when i hadnt even touched a single product. the manager openly told the store she thinks people are stealing (talking to a co worker) myself, an older white lady and an older black fella she was just helping were the only people in the store. worst dollar general in the city, but after this i refuse to visit any dollar generals. trashy rude employees, low quality products you can spend a dollar on at the legit dollar store.

Super rude and disrespectful. Every time I go in there, one is either in her car smoking or on her cell phone. There has been multiple times I have went in for one thing and they are no where to be found. I watched a lady grab her things and walk out. I stood there for 20 minutes with other shoppers waiting to be checked out.

The employees are very obnoxious and feel that all their customers need to hear their conversations on the other side of the store. Also they lock the doors before the closing time and won't come to the door. I also had to call corporate a few time on this particular place

Updated May 5th 2020Employees are not wearing facemasks as the governor set in place. Our zip code 49015 has the most cases in the county. They should hang a sign free covid-19!!! We all need to do our part to succeed in fighting this virus.Store is always dirty and ran down. Broken tiles and stains on floor. The sliding doors are always breaking. Longer lines than the grocery store. You are lucky if see 2 cashier's.
