Great flavors for cups, sundaes, or cones. Wow, good looking banana splits. Very reasonable prices. Definitely where the locals and tourists have their treats. Recommend the salted caramel coffee and the butter pecan flavors.

Amazing homemade Ice cream.The staff are super friendly and FAST. They get you your ice cream and get you out. Which is good because they were busy!The ice cream is fantastic. There are a lot of flavors and tons of toppings.They make their own waffle cones and have dipped waffle cones.They also sell some hot food like pulled pork and hot dogs.This is a real gem in northern Michigan. If you are traveling US-10 don't miss it!

We came to Idlewild for our anniversary and our host orderd us an ice cream cake from Jones'. Walking into this place and it smelled delicious 😋. Staff was very nice and the cake was delicious. I can see why it is a local favorite. Be sure to try them out.

So many flavors! Pretty reasonable pricing (though if you want to save $.69 bring cash) and a very rich, flavorful product. We had black cherry, black raspberry, caramel coffee, pumpkin pie, and of course, Mac island fudge. Food options rotate but the ice cream quality is second to none in the area, if not the state! Neat bonus is all of the historical pictures and documents hanging up on the walls.

You should come have their ice cream if you are ever here at Baldwin!As a super popular place people go, they definitely did not fail it's name. The ice cream is rich and flavorful. I had their butter pecan, the taste of it is not extremely sweet but it is definitely full of the smooth nutty flavor that butter pecan should have! I enjoyed it a lot!

Their ice cream is amazing andthe staff work quickly. This place has been around forever and is a source of wonderful nostalgia for me since I visited on an annual basis as a kid. Hasn't changed much over the years, which is nice. Great family-friendly ice cream parlor.

Great ice cream and great service. The kids working were all very nice and friendly. We came in on a Saturday night near the end of October and it was the only ice cream shop still open for the season. The line was out the door, but worth the wait. Very nice outdoor seating on the sidewalk patio!

Have loved Jones' since I was a kid. We always stopped when our mom and stepdad took us to Baldwin. We've stopped there many times traveling through with our son as he grew up. Now we have land in the area and can visit more often. I've become lactose intolerant over the years but luckily the lemon sorbet is delicious. Stopped today and they had mango dole whip! So good! My husband said his hot fudge sundae was the best. The two gals were working their butts off. Just the best!Update April 27th 2024: Just had my first mango Dole whip (in a chocolate dipped waffle cone) of the year! My hubby had a mint chip, (in the chocolate dipped waffle cone as well).Jones doesn't disappoint ❣️

Just stopped in for a ice cone. We got a salted coffee caramel on a waffle cone and a butter pecan on a waffle.The homemade waffle cones were perfect. Just can't beat homemade. The staff was very friendly. A young gentleman Ron, assisted me in taking our cones across the street as my husband had to stay in the truck with our dog. Thank you Ron and best wishes to your sister's new adventure.

Okay this is a touchy one, the homemade ice cream there is amazing, that alone is worth stopping for! However the service is another story, I asked for a certain type of float, after 6 minutes of waiting, found out I couldn't have it because they didn't have the right ingredients. Then I asked for a bowl of ice cream, and she brought it to me in a coma which means she wasn't paying attention to what I said.Paying attention to your customer is the number one most important thing you should be doing!

Listen, did you even visit Baldwin if you didn’t go to Jones? My favorite icecream ever, and I’m not an icecream guy. You have to stop in - even with a wait it is worth every penny. Great people, great service, great ice cream!

We stopped by Jones after a long day on the Pere Marquette River and was so glad we did!! The ice cream definitely tastes homemade and not artificial. It's not often I get to see Black Walnut ice cream so was super excited to be able to get some. The flavor was on point and the only the disappointment was that I did not get more! The waffle cone was so buttery and crispy, complimented the Black Walnuts very well. If ever in Baldwin, definitely recommend!!

I have been coming to Jones since I was a little kid. We used to go to Mysyn Acres and spent the summers there as my Dad took care of the lodge for Mrs. King. Jones was a favorite part of the trip. LOVE the peppermint chocolate chip. All of the flavors are delicious and taste the same as when I was a kid. They serve super large scoops too and the waffle cones are a must! I even took 3 half gallons home. They will deep freeze them if you call and order a few days in advance. They were still solid 3 hours later in a cooler in the car. This ice cream parlor is worth the trip into Baldwin.

Went here once on vacation. Service is slow due to staffing issues, but the treat is definitely worth the wait. I got the salted coffee caramel, and it was like no other ice cream I had ever tasted. Too bad it's 3 hours away from my house though.

Wow! What a pleasant surprise. We're commonly a little north of here, but never ventured down. We had time to kill leaving Thompsonville, I looked on my Google Maps to see places I saved over the years, seen this. I thought I'd surprise my wife with some ice cream. I have to say I was a little nervous never trying it before. Would she like it? We both did.The staff was great! Friendly smiling faces, really pleasant visit. Cool old building. If you're near, stop in for some ice cream.Just FYI drinks are cans or bottles in a cooler. Not fountain. My wife would have loved a fountain Coke.

We got there right at 8:00 and the guys were locking the door, so my husband thanked them and started to leave. The guys then offered to stay open so we could have our ice cream. It was great, thank again to those two guys.
