My spouse and I are from Canada and we were travelling through. We looked up this place to stay a couple of days before we got there. I spoke with the owner Mike B. He made everything very easy and once we got there (easy to find), checking in was as simple as punching in a code for our room.To our surprise (based on the fact this is a fishing/hunting lodge), the room was amazing! Perfectly clean, awesome decor (again fishing theme, but very well done), and very comfortable.I seen Mike (owner) the next day and told him that I really liked the room. We began talking and he told me about these wonderful trails, folk music in town, rivers, etc… So my partner and I decided to stay another night (she loved the place more than I did). We met the room cleaner on the first morning and she was a delightful person to speak with. Long story short, I am getting my “non-resident fishing license” for Michigan State and coming back to Baldwin Creek Lodge.Rooms: Very clean and nice outdoorsy rustic decor.Nearby activities: Live folk music, trails and trails, amazing rivers, antique shop, historic sites and a very friendly community.Noteworthy details: Easy checkin. I loved the grounds, especially the bridge located on the ppty crossing the creek.

Great rooms and cabins. Easy to book. Fantastic to deal with. Clean, cozy and accommodating. Not far from most fishing locations. The owners, staff and guides are the absolute best. Highly recommended. Just not on my week there. Thanks for a great week. All the comforts and amenities of home.Rooms: Clean and comfortable.Nearby activities: Fishing, hiking, atv trails.Food & drinks: Plenty of placed close to eat.Noteworthy details: Small fly shop in office, great guides and the service was amazing

Great location near Pere Marquette river. Check in was easy. We stayed in unit 11 which is connected to unit 10 by a common area with a table and chairs. Perfect for preparing meals. Room was small but had everything we needed including fridge, microwave and coffee maker.Nearby activities: Good base for fishing trip.

My two friends and I stayed at Baldwin Creek Lodge for a two day motorcycling trip, and we found the place awesome. The staff is great and the beds are so comfortable that I felt like I was in my bed at home. I forgot to unplug my battery bank, and the staff/owners reached back out to me and even mailed it to me. Outstanding customer service! Absolutely would recommend this place for anyone coming to Baldwin for Fishing/Biking whatever!

This owner of Lodge truly is out just for your money! I was trying to kayaking and had alot of people that decided to go the last minute so they were going to carry all of our kayaks for our one year. I was trying to find a hotel to take us at 9 pm at night no luck. I call this place and he gives me two rooms great deal so I gave him my info to book them. He didn't tell me that it'd be non-refundable if I decide not to come. 2 hours later I need to cancel. Friend trailer didn't have lights so he decided not to come. That was half our group so I called him to cancel, I asked him if he couldn't to call me back and us 5 would just come stay in the lodge. He never called back I tried calling him back and he didn't answer the phone. Monday came and I got email he took my 140.00!!! If he would have told me I would have came and stayed even if he would have fined me I would have understood but to take my money and don't bother calling or answer phone when I call you!! That owner is crooked beware people!

Great little cabin with all household amenities. More like a two bedroom house to suit actually. Very nice scenery with a stream only feet away from the back porch with a private fire pit area. Only downfall is that it is right on the main drag of M37 so traffic is a bit noisy.

It pains me to give 1 star. If you like dirty rooms and an owner that refers to his guests in profanity laced language - this is the place for you. We shared our experience with the local business owners - and almost without exception, they named the lodge and owner before we did. Obvious his reputation precedes him. Better to sleep in your car then stay at this place.

Beautiful setting right on the river. The lodge we stayed at was extremely nice, clean, and spacious. Close to food. And about a half hour from big rapids.

A great trip overall. Mike and his family are more then happy to try to accommodate you and your needs and his guide service is like no other that we have ever dealt with. So much so in fact that we are booking a 3 day trip this fall for Coho Salmon as we speak.

The heat never worked the entirety of our stay. Had to ask twice for help but nothing changed. Heater put out cold air and room temp never got above 57. So if you like paying $64 per night to freeze your arse off, this is just the place for you!

This place is great. Everyone is welcome. Families, singles, couples. There is an outdoor playscape, bar b que grill and fire pit. The rooms are rustic, clean, with WiFi and cable also daily maid service. They also spray for bugs. This is the place.

We Love staying at Baldwin Creek motel I really have gotten to know the owners and there very sweet people and its always clean and comfortable and we just whole Baldwin Creek house keeper they do such a good job in keeping it clean there
