Amazing place to stop on the way up north, or on the way home from a long weekend trip. They have quite the selection of not only beef and turkey jerky; but exotic meats like python, camel, kangaroo and ostrich. They also have quite the selection of chocolates and snacks and even a local coffee brand! They even have taxidermy gator heads for sale! Been shopping here for years especially at Christmas; who doesn’t like jerky in their stocking? Reading some of the one star reviews makes me laugh because people are liars 😂. I’ve met the owner and the employees, and the parking lot is under 24 hour surveillance so when someone says they were there 5 minutes when they were in the parking lot 20 on camera don’t have business writing bogus reviews. This place is awesome and we will return to give double the business that apparently these other “reviewers” didn’t. 5 stars

My friends who are sweet, responsible, and respectful stopped there and the owner was unwelcoming, unprofessional, and extremely rude. They didn’t even make it the store. They were traveling and stopped to buy a snack. They parked off to the side to let their dog out (was only there for less than 5 minutes) when the store owner came out very unprofessional and agitated yelling if your not here to buy Jerky then leave. My suggestion to this owner calm down, be open to all types of customers. In all situations, give grace and patience. You never know how a positive interaction could make a difference in someone’s life. If your concerned with customers with pets, make it welcoming and designate an area for them to allow their pets to relieve themselves. Responsible dog owners pick up after themselves.

Do not stop here. I pulled in from a long drive for a snack. Before I ventured in, I let my dog out to use the bathroom. I wasn’t in the parking lot for more than 2 minutes when this mouth breather waddles outside and shouts to me that if I’m not purchasing jerky to just leave. Instant animosity… to assume so quickly and approach so aggressively was unprofessional and so we left.

Nice place, the worker was very helpful. Lots of beef jerky kangaroo, alligator, camel, ostrich, and more great prices. They even sell coffee and hunny.

Lots of good stuff; our first time in there and it's a candy store of meats. Everything you'd expect in a jerky place and some unusual stuff as well (flavored varieties of crickets for example). Can be on the expensive side but most of those places usually are; if it's an occasional thing, it's worth sampling a few things. We got standards like teriyaki beef but also some kangaroo, alligator and those bacon and cheese crickets (which I haven't tried yet lol). I'm sure we'll stop again when we're in the area.

We stopped here on our way home from Northern Michigan, and it did not disappoint. They had a huge selection of beef jerky and smoked items. We will definitely stop again on our next trip up north.

We stopped almost every time as we're going up North. They specialize in all kinds of and I mean all kinds of jerky. They also have alligator heads for sale which you never see from small to very very large. They have other little specialties to. The gentlemen that's in the store is very nice and is there every time we go.

This is my paradise! I generally pass by on my route to Mt Pleasant on one of my routes, but today, I was heading home from vacation and stopped by! The lady was very cheerful and friendly! She was very helpful and just an all around friendly person!Aside from that, but not too far, I got what I wanted and was very much cheerful and satisfied.

How can you not love a place that specializes in jerky? I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because of pricing, definitely NOT for lack of variety. I think it would take a person a year to sample every type they have available, from kangaroo sticks to elk jerky, they have it all, I just wish it was a little more budget-friendly. I ended up getting teriyaki beef and Colorado style beef and both were incredible!! Definitely worth a stop if you're traveling on 127.

Good jerky but shockingly pricy. Twenty bucks for ... not very much. Spent $70 on three bags and my family of four killed it all in about five minutes.

This place has many varieties of jerky that are 100% as advertised. No added pork or beef. They do online orders and I will definitely be ordering Christmas gifts.

Love the variety of jerky...not only domestic, but exotic as well. My 4 year old granddaughter loves her alligator head we got her. Next up...buying alligator tail & trying it for the first time.

Spotted this place while traveling to Mt Pleasant. Got some great white fish dip and syrup aside from our bags of jerky. We'll be stopping back in next time we're in the area.

A little pricey but well worth it!!! Bought some smoked salmon and made some some of the best soup ever. Very nice selection of products beautifully displayed. If one desires cured meats the Brick House Jerky Outlet is the place to stop. If you don't, stop by anyway.

They have a huge variety of Jerky here. I only had the guts to try the beef. Absolutely delicious. Some of the best I've eaten. Will be back again if we are around the area!
