We have adopted a dog from here on 27th of Mar. We went for several times to find our lovely dog and all the time staff gave us a warm welcome. Dogs and puppies are very well cared and clean, organized place. We really appreciate for all the help that we got from the team and volunteers.

I saw this female dog at the Huron Valley Humane Society, where they have a very friendly, helpful staff. Every couple minutes you see another dog being taken out for a walk they had such a wide variety of dogs to choose from and the adoption process was easy I picked a really calm dog that walks good on a leash My dog was four years old when I adopted her and it has been an amazing experience. She is a happy addition to my household and there’s so many dogs left there too be loved and enjoyed.

My family and I adopted 2 month old kittens back in August that happened to be brothers! We couldn’t separate the two and we are glad we didn’t! They are growing so fast and doing so good! The adoption process was easy and fast! Thanks again for helping us find our babies! I highly recommend adopting!!

I purchased a beautiful bunny named Bella last week. Staff was very friendly, very helpful and gave me plenty of information about her upfront. It was a wonderful experience. I would definitely go here to adopt a furry friend.

HSHV is such a wonderful organization. We've been supporters for years, but finally adopted our first kitty this weekend. Poppy is a gorgeous, loving 16-year-old cat who will be treated like a princess in our home. She was in a foster home through HSHV for almost a year and was given excellent care and lots of affection. We hope she lives a few more years with us. Thank you to all the staff and volunteers, and especially to Poppy's foster mom!

I recently adopted a sweet middle aged cat from this humane society. She is awesome and I am so happy to give her a loving home. This humane society had excellent staff and volunteers. They care for their animals very well and keep things nice. I would definitely recommend this place to leave an animal if need be or to adopt one from! Thank you Huron Valley Humane Society for my sweet cat Iris, she is adapting well!

I filled out the adoption papers online then went to meet a little guy named Wesley. Staff informed me of his over excitement and how many others passed up on him due to his energy and a nibble on the hand here and there. They showed me how to handle him while walking and gave us time to get to know each other. While adopting him I could see how much each and every one of them cared about Wesley and the love they extended to him! Now that Wesley has a home he behaves very well! I couldn't be happier.

We recently brought our 10 week old puppy here for his vaccinations and advice. We had a LOT of questions about feeding, fleas and ticks, neutering, etc., and the staff was extremely helpful and reassuring. We were so pleased with the professionalism and friendliness of the staff that we already scheduled our puppy's next appointment. (Our little guy highly recommends HSHV too.)

As we were visiting the puppies that were brought in by the Love Train crew, we were impressed on the cleanliness of the facility, the caring that the staff/volunteers showed and the professionalism throughout the building. Then, we fell in love with this little girl and brought her home with us. An added bonus to our visit!

We love coming here for a visit and have adopted a number of cats from this shelter. Everyone who works here is helpful and the building itself is a really pleasant place to visit. Things are set up so that you can interact with potential adoptees- which is very nice. There is also a vet clinic located in this same building. There are also numerous opportunities to volunteer should you be so inclined.

We were there to find a cat and fell in love with one. But they are first come, first service, and the kitty we wanted had been secured before we got the chance.

I recently adopted my first cat (I am a first-time owner) and had a wonderful experience with the adoption center. The cat I got is healthy, sterilized, and I adore her (I would give 5 stars for the adoption process).However, my experience with the vet clinic was disappointing. After receiving blood work results, I was advised to switch her food to hills science brand food for urinary care. The communication about this was poor - it took several attempts to clarify which food to get, and even when I was finally told the correct food to get, I WAS NOT informed that it was prescription food sold only through vet clinics and that purchasing it requires a script from your vet. I was told about these requirements to purchase the food by a pet smart employee when I attempted to purchase it.Eventually, after confusion and contradictory information, I managed to order the food online through the clinics online store, with the instructions given to me by their secretary after I went in person to avoid more confusing phone calls.Even then I received a call on their behalf saying the food cannot be delivered, even though the secretary had told me the exact opposite the day before.I called the clinic one last time and was finally told it will be delivered and told again they do not pick up. Only after this final call did I get a shipping number from them.TLDR:The lack of clear instructions and communication throughout the process was frustrating and disappointing. Also, the lack of any written documents with the vet's instructions is another big negative. I will not go here again.

I took my French bulldog here to get spayed last year. They told me she needed to be up to date on distemper and rabies which her distemper was past due. I agreed that they could give her the distemper vaccine only. I was on my way to pick her up and they called me and said they couldn't get the tube out of her throat and to go home and come later but I was already half way there and I wasn't going to go back home and wait since clearly my dog was having an issue. A few minutes later I got a call telling me they got the tube out and everything was fine. When I got there, they brought my dog out and her face was completely swollen and she was having trouble breathing. She clearly had a reaction to the vaccine or something else and they didn't even know or realize that she didn't look like that when I dropped her off. Then I found out they gave her the Lepto vaccine without my consent. They said they were sorry and made a mistake. I do not vaccinate any of my dogs for that vaccine because that vaccine causes issues for so many dogs. This is unacceptable! How can a clinic give a vaccine without consent?

Huron Valley is an amazing place to adopt!! I went in there to get a cat and it was a super easy process! The volunteers and workers were amazing with answering any questions I had, and they were very friendly. The cat that I got was absolutely adorable and friendly and healthy❤️

There's lots of variety here, you'll find all kinds of breeds and personalities. Please don't forget about the adult/senior animals, they're so loving and SO appreciative of your attention. Gretchen, I hope you got an amazing home, I'm thankful for our time together.

I’ve volunteered at other shelters, and this was our first time visiting the humane society of Huron valley. I find it strange they require you to fill out an application in order to visit with, touch any animal. We were scolded for putting a cat treat from an open bag laying out on the counter into a cats cage. Other shelters encourage their visitors to interact with the animals and especially give them treats, sanitizing hands in between petting them is easy to do. I also find it discouraging they require you to pay them a fee to volunteer for them. Not overly impressed so far..

Both the Tech and Dr. were SO good with my cat Nutmeg, she is very anxious at the Vet and they spoke so gently to her and let her sniff them and the instruments, and when she had an accident in her carrier they got it cleaned up so she didn't have to ride home in any urine. Truely best experience and care I've ever experienced for my girl and would highly reccomend!
