I come mostly for the hardware section. Prices are a little higher then a bigger box store, but they are close and service is great. So I ll pay a little extra.Have plenty of small odd ball things you might need.

I love this store. Pretty good selection for a local store and I especially love the guys in the hardware section. They are always willing to help and don't run and hide like some of the help in the big box stores.

The shelves always seem to be stocked so there's a plus. Not a huge selection of stuff due to it being a local store but it does have just about everything the average person needs. Prices here seem to be about 5-10% more than most stores so that's my only gripe seeing how if you live near it the only other good store to shop is like 15-20 minutes away.But if you do stop in here try their hot pot pie over in the deli I absolutely love them ~if you see this review and decide to try the pot pie, please don't steal the last one... lol much love~

I have gone to this store many times to pick up something quickly. The employees are very unfriendly. They don’t make eye contact and I have never seen one smile or thank the customer. Their prices are very high.The Kroger Imlay City prices are better and all the employees there are very friendly and don’t act like the customer is bothering them. I have never experienced such rudeness in any other retail establishment. I have just spent my last dollar at Vinkiers today.

Where else can you go to get great selection of hardware & groceries! This store has it's finger on the pulse of this community. Excellent selection of wine. You will find Hess Cabernet here. Love it!

Extremely high prices compared to other stores, not a great selection either. I have wondered why anyone would shop here when there are other alternatives.The staff is very nice, so at least there's that...My suggestion - - keep driving... ‼️

Very unhappy of return policy!! The manager on duty not very friendly and explained their policy!! I said ok but where does it say that policy at, because it is not on the back of the receipt or by the registers because I have been shopping here for about 10 years!! She walked me over to a small sign at the customer service desk! I said ok so I will not ever be returning, because that is not clearly understood! She goes in a higher pitched voice ok and thank you! Just wow!!!!!!!!!!

Everyone is very nice and helpful. Deli has really good food. Baked chicken is the best. I have to say the produce is very well taken care of and is really looking great. Everything is always so fresh looking and always well stocked.

It's a clean and well-organized store; however, their prices are nuts. We only go there in a pinch bc it's worth driving further to Kroger or Meijer since we'll get WAY more bang for our buck.... especially with the inflation right now, not sure how much longer they will retain business

Love this store for finding spices and items in baking aisle that Kroger doesn't have. Lucky me finding sweet young ladies selling Girl Scout cookies. That's why this store is special. Love the feel of friendly small town people who support the community.

We ordered Fried Chicken and Baked for my Mother's funeral luncheon. The Best Chicken Ever. We froze the leftovers and just over a month later, I heated the Chicken in my air fryer,; oh boy just as good as first day. My family also, loves their Chicken Pot Pies as well; stuffed to the max and always just the right amount of gravy inside. They also, have this giant sub sandwich the guys go crazy over and the potato and coleslaw yummy. Thank you so much for great service with a smile.. and having Ace next door is great for one stop shopping (Almont location)

If I was ever going to open a store it would stock everything from whiskey on down to diapers and a full line of groceries. So I was very pleasantly surprised at this multifaceted store/hardware store. The staffing is very helpful and friendly and the selection is terrific.

Vinckier Foods has a great meat department with reasonable prices! I'm glad that they support our local, beloved Crooked Creek Dairy Farm by selling their milk! Long-time Vinckier employees like Roxanne, Kathy, Kim and Pete are always there to welcome and assist shoppers. I think it's convenient that there is an "old-school" Ace Hardware attached to the grocery store! Rural folks appreciate one-stop shopping!

In general I am satisfied shopping at the Almont Vinkier store with the exception of their vegetables and fruit. Today I purchased some avocados and when I cut them open they were rotten so I threw them away. I don’t like to give low reviews but this has happened a few times to me with various vegetable or fruit choices so I felt the need to post it. Again I do like to shop at the store but maybe they can take a closer look at the produce and discard the obviously bad ones.

I have been shopping here for about 5 years. First, they have a good and well maintained meat department. The meats are of good quality. I also like that they have an ACE hardware as they often have what I need. Unfortunately this Ace doesn’t honor the Ace rewards card and I was told they didn’t plan on becoming part of that program. I really don’t care for their produce and would much rather pick those items up at most any other store. Their prices on most items are high though their sale items can provide some good deals.I would normally stop the review here and give them 4 stars but they lose a star for their lack of commitment to supporting mask wearing during times of COVID. Many of their employees either don’t or improperly wear their masks and I have never heard them ask an unmasked visitor to wear a mask including during peak COVID times.I like what I heard an employee at the Lapeer Meijer tell a customer who refused to wear a mask. The customer was told that if they didn’t want to or couldn’t wear a mask that the store would shop for their items and deliver it to them in their car but they were not allowed in the store without one. I wish all retail stores would adopt this attitude.I shop here for convenience only.

Prices are much higher than most other grocery stores so i don't do my big list shopping there but it's great for small basic supplies and having the hardware store is fantastic. The people there are very friendly and helpful. I can always find what i'm looking for.

Very friendly staff, and some of the females that work there are very attractive. Sorry I'm a male! But the food selection is good, fresh fruits like apples, grapes, bananas, oranges Etc. They also have Bakery that makes very good baked goods as well as a deli that can cook orders for party Etc. Anything from chicken wings to sandwiches french fries Etc. The prices are a little bit more expensive than say Kroger or Meijer but the hospitality and the friendly service that you will receive there is bar none.

Been going to this store for a long time, the people in the Deli are very nice. The problem is the few cashiers that never say thank you!# & some of the employees that could care less . I have called 3x's talked to managers & they say each time we will talk to them. Well it didn't work its the same , I have spoke to other people & the feel the same way its RUDE !! People will take their business to others stores

Great place to shop, hardware quick pickup for all kinds of diy supplies. The deli is fantastic excellent chicken, potatoes, and salad sides of all kinds. Great for a lunch or dinner. Pot pies are the best.

This is a nice local hardware. I'm always amazed at the great selection of well stocked hardware and DIY products in this store. Also my go to place for propane tank refills. Nice professional staff.

Talked to a manager named “Hannah” bought a 1.5 quart ice cream that was melted and freezer burnt on top . She said I need my receipt to RETURN it ( during covid I guess they will resell it ) we just got it a hour ago. And I’m not sure were my receipt is . Your already priced higher than other stores you would think they would replace/refund a bad item . So you have to check ice cream before you buy it there . I recommend Kroger down the road03/31/2021 just seen a comment back from a manager . Thank you for the reply ! We are Almont residents and run in there often but not since . Thanks for the reply ! Will give another chance !

I'm a long time customer and on average made purchases 3 or 4 days a week at Vinkiers. But no more. I won't return until a Covid vaccine becomes available. Apparently it is more important to make a profit than to protect patrons. Too many people without masks throughout the store. I asked a manager about it and was told they don't enforce the mask policy. Too bad. Very disappointing. Now I drive to Imlay city for hardware and the larger food stores that seem to care for the health and wellness of their customers.

Nice, clean supermarket. A bit on the pricier side, but for the convenience of location it's fine. I hear the deli section has great food selections, but haven't tried it myself just yet.

The only part of this grocery store, is how inexpensive their meet selection is. Everything else, is way overpriced !! The selection is horrible. When I cashed out, the cashier, who's name I won't expose, was so damn rude, didn't ask me if I found everything that I was looking for. Sorry, but not, sorry I will NEVER go back there.
