Best hardware in town! I love this place. My family has gone here for business many years…even when I was a kid my dad went there Al legs time. They are always very very friendly! Quality products & competitive pricing. My dad has dementia and the staff have been kind and helpful over the years to him. I appreciate they treat him equally and with dignity. This is more than a hardware. It is a community and safe place. Jeff is beyond amazing & will do anything for anyone! He is always the reason we swing in & keep going there!

Great staff and selection. They’re always so helpful and knowledgeable. I came in for paint yesterday and the type I needed was out of stock. They called around to find more and had the paint for me the next morning, all mixed up and ready for me before I even got there. Excellent customer service!

When I went to the Ford dealership to get a key for my old Taurus they wanted over $200 dollars for the key and programing. I ordered the key online and brought it to Alma true value. They cut my $15 blank key perfectly on the first try. Then they told me it was free! Not only were they the ones to trust but there was no charge! That small town family approach to business is why they are a gem in Gratiot county. It's too bad the Ford dealership can't be more like them! I will tell anyone, Go to true value first. They will care for you!

The owner is fantastic. A great community leader, knowledgeable of all the merchandise, fixes vacuum cleaners, and gives amazing tours for local cub scouts! Alma couldn't ask for a better Hardware Store!!

They discriminate against people with disability who are no able to wear a mask. They DO NOT respect medical exemptions. They didn’t let me shop around the store just like everyone else. I will not be coming back because I will not spend my money on a business that breaks the Law that protects people like me. I don’t care about their store policy cause they as a business in the U.S. of America have to respect the law of the country over all, and the law protects people with disabilities like mine. They are breaking the law and they need to be held accountable.

Very unprofessional use the F word when I told them that his prices were double what other places were wouldn't do a return on a Stanley tape told me it wasn't lifetime warranty when they are I trade them all the time. Pretty pathetic to try and rob your locals that try to keep small businesses Flourishing well I guess the karma is that big business and online shopping will take care of local greed 😉
