I have no issues with staff, they are all amazing and hard working individuals but management at this location is a joke. I had a previous issue with past management who were wonderful, they figured it out for me and no problems since. Today this issue occurred and come to find out they’re under new management, with a different policy. As someone who works in customer service when something along this line occur, I will tell the customer no worries we will let this go but next time but we won’t be able too in the future. If this is what happened today I wouldn’t be giving a review. I would understand. I would accept it and i would start shopping at a different store. Instead I got an attitude with the answer no. Mind you I have my two kids with me both under 4 with one that is autistic. They could’ve easily let this one slip. Let me pay and let me be on my way. By the grace of God, my youngest was calm and didn’t complete meltdown. Which is the norm for my son but my card worked out of nowhere, and I was on my way. This store is the only one that has this policy when this issue arises and all of their competitors do not have this ridiculous policy. I’ve defended this location to others who will not shop their. This location is convenient for me but the convenience has run out. I’ve been embarrassed too many time by management and I’m done.

I worked at this store, all my teenage years. Love working here. I returned this weekend from out of state to get my favorite bakery goodies, store still clean, employees super friendly. It was good seeing all the people I worked with being promoted. Shaw's is a good company.

The florist department has beautiful options but nothing is priced.you need to walk to scanner for price.the employees in florist are rude is you ask a question.

Never enough cashiers. You can't always find prices of things because they aren't posted anywhere. Week after week they don't restock the shelves in some areas. Three times in a row I was overcharged and had to go back to get the money they owed me. The 4th time the English muffins had an expired date and had mold so I had to take them back. On the other hand I buy a lot of organic food and their own brand is very good and reasonably priced. They also have a nice selection of organic produce, meat and chicken. Their fish counter is good.

What a rip off this store is, have you noticed that everything is something XX.99. I ran in for a quick few items and lettuce 4.99, California Kitchen salad dressing 5.99!!! I've actually noticed this on several shopping trips, Cheetos popcorm 5.99!! Really, I can get the salad dressing at Walmart for 3.97. I'll never shop here again. WAY too expensive!

Looks like Shaw's has changed their registers - one would be able to hear the savings on each item that is rung up, but now it shows up on some, and on others it doesn't, despite clipping all available coupons on the Shaw's App.The Associate reassured me that savings now show up at the ENF of the transaction, but the total remained the same.I'm going to think twice before shopping in-store again. It's annoying having to ask for assistance at the self-checkout aisles - defeats the whole purpose of independence. I will to stick to curbside and shop around for the time being.

Great prices. Great selection of EVERYTHING!!! Except no Werther's Candy, only sugar-free. But all in all, great place. 5 stars.Is what I would have said... however my baby has a Gastrointestinal Tube and she was choking and no one showed the least bit of concern or even looked up to see if they could be of help. Pretty heartless when you see a baby throwing up, choking and wretching and you don't even look at her or at the very least offer a paper towel and a kind look and this was right by the register. They just pretended to be busy. Very nice 😒

The cleanest and best stocked supermarket I have ever seen. And their prices and sales are amazing!Bought beautiful swordfish for $9.99 a pound. Hellman’s mayo quart jar for $2.99!A great variety of fresh fruits and vegetables and a broad variety of ethnic products and foods and gluten-free and healthy products.People (both staff and customers) are so helpful and kind (am in a wheelchair.Shop here. I’m thinking about moving here!!!

On a Saturday night there were no cashiers. Why? I have previously spoke to the store manager about this and he said use the self checkout. Being an older person I am not comfortable with this and I don't work there. Also I had found items that were out of the expiration dates; buyer beware. Not sure what's going on there but I was going there for 2 decades. With this being said I hope they open a Market Basket there. I wish I could good give more stars....

Never thought I'd ever go there again. Had to make a quick stop. So ran in couldn't find what I was looking for. I asked this young guy named Sam. This guy searched the entire store found what I was looking for and even brought back the one I wanted. Ok shaw's I'll give you my business again. Make that young man a manager so he can teach the rest of you how to treat customers.

Good selection of items at reasonable prices.I have to say though, their recently installed self checkout machines are without any doubt the worst I've ever used. You can't check out more than 3 items in a row without the machine stopping you to require assistance. They say every single item price out loud, then wait for you to bag it, and half the time it says the weight is wrong and you now require assistance. Coupons? Better require assistance. Didn't put your groceries on the scale fast enough? Better require assistance. Think you're buying one item and getting out of there real fast? Pump the brakes pal, you're getting assistance. It's painful to use these machines and they really need fixing.

This has become my go-to store coming from Main South. You can't beat the selection of this gigantic place and I've never been disappointed with freshness or quality. I'm not a fan of Big Y and I've gotten too many items that have gone bad from Price Chopper, so I'm very happy to have this store around. The staff is also great. Entela and Lydia are awesome!

I have always found this location to be well stocked and clean, but the most impressive quality is the professional and pleasant treatment by virtually every staff member. To be honest, this general atmosphere seems to have spread to the other customers!

Whoever made the chicken wings on 6/30/22 give them their props. Perfectly coated Perfectly cooked. I didn't even plan on wings but i saw and smelled them from the parking lot.. my container was busting af the seam. Keep making them like that I'll buy everytime.

This Shaws is a bigger store, with more selection than Auburn. It's always clean and right now, as well stocked as any other store. Most of the employees I spoke with were friendly and helpful. My cashier wasn't the most friendly, seemed like she'd rather be anywhere else, but that's happened to everyone at work at some point.They had sanitizing wipes available for the carts and were following covid safety guidelines.

I know people love the big superstores. Me not so much. Stopped here because I was in the area otherwise I use Shaw's in Auburn. It's smaller and I don't have to worry about forgetting anything or do a 3 mile trek through the store to find what I need. Nice store just to big for me

I was really impressed with Shaw. I really never did my shopping there before. Just happened to be in the neighborhood and went in to pick up a few things I needed. I love there produce department. It's amazing. Definitely have to go back there again.

The only 2 people working the registers were awesome however we all had to wait in a long line today because no one else would come help work the registers. Including management. Why does self check out work in other markets but no here? Anyway that’s my 2 cents…… hours later Shaws issued this generic response. Same as they did 3 months earlier when another customer filled a similar rating. You know what Shaws. Show me don’t tell me………… ok so it’s been a few weeks since my review and of course I was not going to use this market for a while however my wife just returned for this Shaws location and happily informed me that self checkout is back. Well Shaws of Stafford st. I guess you showed me and told me. Well done. I have changed my one star to a four star.

Been a customer for years. I just returned from a trip there. I picked up refrigerated tortellini on the 27th of August with a 2nd of August date code. Countless times I've tried to use the internet in this store to no avail, including in look-up of "U" based discounted items. I looked for light cream today, neither brand in either size was stocked. Your boxes of canned cat food, on sale, is higher than Walmart's regular price. In this marketplace the competition is too big to have these errors happen. You can blame errors on individuals, you came blame it on store or department managers, but ultimately you need to look at the regional guys and what they're willing to spend on customer serviced based requirements. As a former large chain discount department store executive, we couldn't afford to make these mistakes for long.

Shaw's Supermarket of Massachusetts is a delightful place to shop for food. I have been to several locations of Shaw's. Each one is clean, organized and with signage well placed. Staff is helpful and available for customers. Items are well priced.Parking lots at each location. Easily accessible for handicapped customers.

Been to this Shaws twice. Its clean, the 5 employees I ran into were courteous and friendly, minus one, she looked annoyed when I asked where I could find something. She was helpful so it could've been a toothache face. *shrugs shoulders*. Shaw's has a couple great sales when I "occasionally" go, and thankfully, because they are getting pricey. I used to love Shaw's. I prefer a couple other competitors now

This Shaw's is great. The employees are always extremely polite and helpful and never have me feel like asking them a question is a burden on their day, unlike some places. They have wonderful premade salads that have me choose this location over Walmart and Target a lot of the time.The only bad thing here is the bathroom. It's in need of repairs and can be a pretty dirty at times.

Extremely overpriced! However, I did find my tea sweetener! I make my own iced tea with green and black tea and couldn't find the toranis fruit syrup anywhere except online well they have one flavor...the reason they got 3 instead of two stars 🙄

My friend and I found fentanyl outside the dumpsters of shaws. It isn't shaws' fault but i think there should be more sanitization.

I like Shaw's because the locations are convenient and their prices are competitive. But their French bread is not as good as Big Y's french bread. And they don't have any French baguettes, which are the best at Big Y. Also, I can't seem to find the Kettle Cooked brand of potato chips. There are plenty of kettle cooked types of potato chips but other brands, but not the particular "Kettle Cooked" brand.

I've seen one manager, a woman, make fun of a male employee for wearing eye liner. Shortly after she walked up to my friend and I, her name tag said Lidia, and started commenting on my friends makeup, saying he shouldn't wear it. the owner does nothing about this behavior and honestly I think he encourages her to make these comments as I have had friends go through similar and complain and nothing is done. I am absolutely disgusted with this place and won't be going to ANY shaw's again after this. both employees and customers are treated terribly. if I could I'd leave zero stars.
