A very special place! Nick is wonderful with the right balance of being available but giving you space. The rooms are very clean, but it’s an old house; nearly 300 years old, so there will be creaks and normal settling for a home that age. There is no tv; I bring my laptop, but also enjoy the solitude. The Barn is open Wednesday through Sunday and provides a small menu, full bar and entertainment. The food was good; the service was excellent and the locals are very friendly. Probably my favorite part of the property is the rescue farm. I love waking up and visiting with the animals or coming back after a day’s adventures to see all these sweet animals. Nearly all are rescued from horrible situations and live happily with each other. It’s really the icing on an already sweet place. Also very convenient to Great Barrington, NY, and CT area towns. This is definitely a wonderful place to unwind and explore.Rooms: The rooms are small but clean and well kept. It would be awesome to have a small fridge, but also totally fine without. I would suggest cups and tissues, but everything else is spot onSafety: Very quiet area; rooms are deadbolted. I had the whole inn to myself and was not worried at allFood & drinks: The on site entertainment is why I choose to stay here. After a long day exploring, it’s great to park the car, have a bite and a drink and listen to music while just having to walk up the driveway to go to bedNoteworthy details: It’s the rescued animals/farm and the peaceful feeling of the inn overall.

We stayed in the Rebekah room, which is one of the smaller rooms, for the weekend. Clean, cozy rustic setting. We will probably get a bigger room next time we visit just for comfort (mostly bc I tend to overpack 🤫).Best parts about this place are 1) the people - the friendliest and helpful staff you can ever have! Very welcoming and warm; and 2) the cafe that is open most mornings and afternoons of the week - AMAZING coffee and tea drinks and delicious food for breakfast and lunch. Free drip coffee for inn guests! We also went to The Barn, their on-site bar and restaurant, for dinner and drinks. Again, amazing and delicious food - we would drive up just for the burgers! We had a great time and only wish we could've stayed longer. We would love to go back for another visit sometime!

This is a really nice performance space with very good food and a nice beer selection. I would definitely go back.Since I wrote that review, we have been back to the Barn multiple times. The menu has changed a little bit but the food is still very good and the perfect accompaniment to the overall vibe of the venue. The cocktails are superb. I think this place is turning out to be a destination performance space. We have also had the opportunity to stay at the Inn. Our room was spacious, unfussy and just the right temperature. The café in the Inn has breakfast fare and a coffee shop with espresso drinks (they're quite good).

A great space for a Berkshires experience! Welcoming, cozy, peaceful, perfect for setting out on and returning from local adventures. Excellent coffee and food at the in-house cafe, Sara’s Place, tended to by sweet, friendly people that seem to really enjoy being there. Also an eclectic group of animals on the property, bring the kids! To end the day you only have to walk across the parking lot to The Barn, an awesome music venue with great food and drinks, and you don’t have to worry about driving back to your accommodations.

Went for two nights over Memorial Day Week-end ... meant to write this way sooner!!! It was a great week-end, and we and our dog LOVED it. Quite the pleasant surprise that there were animals there, and the Barn is an amazing place to hang. We had a small hiccup while there with another guest, and the owners handled it SO well and professionally and made every effort to make our stay enjoyable. We will definitely be back!! The only reason I'm giving four instead of five stars is that the bathrooms and rooms (at least in the dog-friendly house) are a wee bit tired (but clean), but really an amazing stay with amazing owners!!!

At $275 a night, I felt the need to advise others about my particular experience at this inn. The staff is non-existent and breakfast is offered but at the very minimal just egg dishes are available. The inn states that water, coffee and tea are available at all times but there was no water at all during our weekend stay. Also, coffee availability is slim. The first morning of our stay the host came to provide coffee at 7:30 AM and on the second morning of our visit coffee was not available at all. My husband and I along with our friends decided to go out for coffee after 8AM when we realized we were not getting coffee. The very least expectation is that guests are provided with coffee or tea first thing in the morning. The bedrooms were decorated nicely however the bathrooms were dirty and in our room our shower was covered in mold. We did not feel comfortable using the shower at this inn. Overall, it is concerning the lack of hospitality. This inn is also a music venue, the Barn which seems to be the primary focus of this inn keeper.

I seldom write poor reviews but felt it important to share our recent experience in July. The rooms are lovely ( I was however given the wrong room) and the inn itself is very well preserved and a beautiful space. I would like to express concern for the lack of hospitality. We saw no employees our entire stay, including check in, until 815am the day after our arrival. Coffee was not out in the morning and when it was I had to go to the kitchen to ask for cream. In the hospitality business, coffee and tea are a big deal in the morning. Our stay also included breakfast for which there was only one option. My eggs were undercooked and I could not eat them. My partner does not eat eggs and there were no other options for him. I know I am very detail oriented having a degree in the hospitality field but I also felt there should be some uniform dress code for employees. The few I saw in the morning had what I would consider gym attire that they were working in. That didn't appear very professional for a stay that was close to $200 a night. Online deals of $150 would not be honored.

Decent sized room, plenty of space and loved visiting the chickens and goats out back. Few things to be aware of: our room had no TV (this was probably clear when we booked but I was surprised when we checked in), pack some snacks with you - the place is out of town and the hours of the onsite restaurant are not set - we thought it was open Sunday night but when we wandered over there was nobody and it appeared closed. All other dinner options are driving distance. There was also no breakfast provided the days we stayed other than coffee. The owners operate a breakfast cafe on site on other days but not while we were there although there was coffee available just before 8am.We slept with the windows open and there is an ongoing audible droning sound perhaps from the water treatment system(?)so unfortunately didn't sleep great.Good place if you are looking to disconnect for a weekend - would recommend staying later in the week when the cafe & restaurant hours are more reliable.

Bare bones accommodation. Nothing is open from Monday to Wednesday at the Inn including the coffee shop or the Barn bar. So you have to drive to town for food. No refrigerator in rooms to store wet dog food either. I rarely saw anyone at all during my stay. They never answered their phone. I tried to call before my stay 3-4 times to make sure I was in a dog friendly room and no one answered. And then I called after checkout and left a message asking to explain why I was charged an additional $20 to the all inclusive bill from BringFido which I had already paid. I never got a return call. Poor communication, thinly staffed Inn and average room. Prepare to be awoken by people’s loud footfalls upstairs if you stay in one of the pet rooms in the basement. And given there are farm animals living on the property, I never wanted to let my dogs off leash. There was only a gravel parking lot for the dogs. All in all a pretty below average experience and a $20 surprise added to my bill with no explanation. Not a big deal but no TV’s in basement rooms or upstairs communal area either. Improvements needed. More like a hostel than an Inn.

The Egremont Village Inn was a very nice, quaint place to stay - no microwave, no TV, or fridge in our room - although there was a small fridge in the reading room. It was just what we were looking for.The owners, Nick and Jenny were terrific! The Barn - which is a music venue on sight had "The Treaty" playing for the weekend. They were great!

My band partner and I stayed at the inn after having been a musical guest at the inn’s music venue, The Barn. We were shown such hospitality, we can’t wait to go back.If you aren’t into, at least, some quirk, this place probably isn’t for you. However, if you like a little country kookiness in your B&B, this is a perfect spot. The room we stayed in was quite comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic. I haven’t seen this particular presentation before. Baked eggs with chorizo in an iron skillet served alongside a chunky polenta was very nice for a cool morning. The grounds are great for a stroll, and then, there is The Barn, so you really don’t have to go far for the best nightlife in the area.

This is a nice and quiet spot. The family that owns the Inn is lovely and they pay attention to every little detail. The rooms were warm and inviting, no complaints at all. One last thing: if Nick is making breakfast, you'll definitely have a hearty breakfast.

Loved the atmosphere, the set up, and the band!
5 stars because it’s a place I want to see do well, they are definitely working hard and people are having a good time!
Unfortunately my burger was burnt to a crisp. Well done and charred. They didn’t ask so it’s partially my fault for not specifying but it looked like they almost forgot about it.
Also, the DIY dinner service isn’t a bad idea, but it should be explained at the door and tipping should reflect that!
As a first timer it definitely threw me off!
Will be back!

Melissa the inn keeper is as pleasant as they come and her breakfast is to die for. She makes everything from scratch and you can tell in every bite. We talked to the gardener Rick and he was very pleasant as well as knowledgeable about the whole place. His garden was a jungle of beautiful plants and veggies

We threw a bridal shower in their barn. The venue was unique and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The space held about 45 people. Would definitely consider the space for other events.

The room we stayed in was very dirty. There was a needle on the bathroom floor, also a piece of bacon on the bedroom floor. The supposed breakfast it included was three apples, some yogurt and muffins, all of which was in our room when we got there (so we don’t know how long that food had been there). We felt so uncomfortable we had to leave a day before planned.
