The doctor and the vet tech were excellent. The doctor asked about any concerns and gave a full body check over of all my dogs. The woman who did the check in was also very patient in the examining space was great.

Their own website lists the Tidy Cat Breeze litter box for 42.98, but go to the store and it's 49.98. They NEVER mention that they have price matching and don't care if their customers save money. The line is always too long, with only 2 registers open, when they have 3. The store is way too small for all the things they carry in the store. That along with a lot of people in the store, make it too cluttered. The manager, along with the employees don't smile, ask if you were able to find everything you needed and complain to other employees how much they don't want to be there and that this day is lasting forever. PetSmart, employees smile, are very friendly and act like they really love their job. Plus they don't try to sell their customers pet plans that are 24.99 a month, thinking we would trust this store with our pets health. It's a joke when your own website has prices lower than going to the store in person. Please go anywhere else but here!!

I have been using Petco in Saugus for 3 months now. I left an independent salon for many reasons. We are very happy with the process, the groomer we request, and how happy my dog is to go there:) if I say “Emily is going to give you a bath tomorrow!” He tips his head and starts smiling. I showed up early for pick up once and watched her finish up with him, she was very gentle and I was totally out of sight, so I believed she was being genuine. Love going there, Emily is the BEST 🐾

If I could give no stars I would after this horrible incident that just happened.My cousin a US Navy Veteran is in hospice. He hasn't much time left. He has a beautiful miniature american eskimo that brings him joy and comfort which now could be the last few weeks of his life...The hospice staff is wonderful with letting terminally ill Veterans have their pets vist of course as long as the veterinarian fills out the form they have all their shots.My aunt took the form down to petco with all his shot records which the dog received from Petco. She explained kindly the situation if the form can be filled out as quickly as possible given the situation.The veterinarian told her "I will get to it when I get to it." And after my aunt calling to check on the forms after two days...she goes to pick up the forms and the veterinarian writes a note in that the dog is "highly aggressive and needs a muzzle"This dog has been seen a Petco since he was a puppy, received medical care, grooming and boarding at this location and there has never been an issue.Sadly the issue is the veterinarian felt irritated that my aunt asked for the paperwork to be done quicker then the vet. Wanted to do it. Because her son could die at any point.Now the my cousin's dog is unable to visit him in the last weeks of his life.We all have stressful jobs and deal with stressful situations and people. But it's a sad state of affairs when someone takes their annoyance out on a dying Veteran by taking away their dog in their last days on Earth.

Regina at the Saugus store is amazing. She remembered my dog had a chicken allergy and stopped another regular from giving her a treat w/chicken. She is always so helpful and my dog loves her so much that she finds her in the store immediately.

I took my Siberian Husky to get groomed and payed for a whole package when they only showered him and supposedly deshed him but he still had many layers of undercoat. He was still wet and his hair was everywhere. They charged me for all these services that were not provided, or done properly. The lady just said that he was not manageable, but if thats the issue and you can not handle a dog then call the owner. If you do not have the PATIENCE to work with different animals breeds then simply don’t work there or don’t take the appointment. The manager and the employees were rude and gave an attitude when I was trying to address my the issue.

Dealt with Tim and he really gave 5 star service. Fish department. So helpful, knowledgeable and quick. My 2 fish needed to go back as they were eating others. He took them and showed us where they would be , and we were able to see them adapt. He helped us pick many others that would go well together too. Another girl there was super helpful also. Going back to that store from now on for all the pet needs! Excellent!!

Can’t believe that after 5 years of bringing myPuppy there they refused to see her due to not having any updated paperwork on their end from the shots she literally received 3 months ago that don’t expire for another 3 years my poor mom was refused to be seen after paying 40$ for a cab just to get her dog bathe and nails trimmed for the new year and couldn’t even find any place to squeeze her in after showing them proof ! Ridiculous a loyal client to be treated that way smh

It is soooo upsetting to see the birds for sale in a tiny cage, behind glass. There are 2 there, lilo and stitch, hatched in 2022. It's now 2024!!! It is not fair to the birds.The petco in peabody has a room you can go in and interact with the birds. Get to know them, I bet they sell faster this way. It makes me depressed every time I'm in there!

Absolutely terrible vetco experience. Do. Not. Go. Here. I was 3 total minutes late for my appointment, called the facility twice to make sure I was not driving 30 minutes to be denied care. No one answered the phone. For context: I explained why I was late (a college student trying to hurry out of class and get her pet seen), and apologized for said tardiness to the desk staff.Upon arrival the VetCo manager was condescending and rude, and spoke to me as if I did not understand the late policy. The manager Victor had no respect for me whatsoever. When I asked to speak with someone other than himself I was told to reschedule an appointment or exit the facility. Of course, as a 20 year old female being condescended by a large male, I was in tears.I do not write reviews often, but hope that anyone who reads this feels as though they are being warned, rather than glazing over a complaint.

Regarding the grooming salon; made an appointment for my dog to be groomed only to have it cancelled for no reason whatsoever. I called the salon and left a voicemail asking for an explanation as there were several open appointments when I booked and there is no reason that I could see for the cancelation. No call back. I had his rabies certificate ready to go for his appointment and everything.Extremely unprofessional. At least provide a reason for cancelling a service.

Price tags are never the price once at cashier. And the cashier doesn’t care. So i paid my dog food 4$ more than announced. Didn’t have time to go somewhere else that day. Next time Petco or Costco.

Had my baby Cocoa-blue Groomed Was very nice and they did a Great job, Cocoa-blue didn't like it but what's important is they were devoted to both myself and my baby's needs and that is all that matters. Cocoa-blue is Very Hanesome and his hair will grow back.

The self wash grooming bays are awful. $15 for a dirty facility (we went at 9am when they open), no shampoo in the machine, and an extremely weak dryer that powers less than a home hair dryer. Crickets are crawling on the floor. Very disappointing

This review is about GROOMING/Nails not the rest of the store.I made a nail apt for my dog at the least busy hour that day due to her having some social issues. I specified that if she is the only dog in the room she will be calmer. I also said if give her some treats she will be your friend. When I got to the counter they were not friendly to me or my dog. They just checked our paperwork ad grabbed her lease and tugged her to the back room. The I saw them out her up on the table and they didn't even pick her up right. Got the collar on her and just right away started cutting her nails! Not eve getting to know her for a moment and letting her get herself situated. They needed 2 others techs to help clip the rest of her nails, didn't even do the dermal. My dog was emotionally scared after that visit she ran so fast back to me. We no longer go to this location for our grooming needs but for our food/toy supply yes.

By far the worse customer service, they don’t answer phone calls or return calls .This girl at front desk probably don’t like pets cause attitude say so .The doctor is nice the tech or lab guy is nice too but no customer service.You guys not doing us a favor and you are not the only pet shop around.I m out .
