Special orders don’t upset them. If there distributor has it they will get it for you. I’ve been a customer since 2005. I still get my pet supplies from them even though I live far away. Definitely worth the ride. Terrific people too!

This is the only pet store you should go to!! My guinea pig ripped his toe and would not stop bleeding so I rushed him to Mayos and the staff was so accommodating. I told them what happened and they grabbed me a product and applied it to his toe before I even paid for anything. They care so much about the animals and their customers. Highly recommend to those looking to buy a pet, buy pet supplies or need pet advice! Thank you Mayos for making this stressful experience so much easier on Pepper and I!

There is a vet that comes every other week to do check ups. She absolutely butchered my baby’s wings (it has been MONTHS and it still looks like someone just took her wing and chopped it in half) It is so bad that we took her for her annual physical and the doctor was shocked at how horrible it was. The lady took our bird to another room to trim her wings as well. Just all around shady. If you are going shopping by all means, but if you’re going to get your baby checked BEWARE.

Purchased my first lovebird from these fine folks today. They are a good hour away from me but I'll definitely be coming back to support. They're customer service is great and you can tell they actually care about their animals, unlike these corporate pet stores. The store is very well kept and all the animals are in clean living conditions. I would highly recommend this place, you won't be disappointed!

Wonderful pet shop! So much crammed into the small space, but it's a little bit of the best of everything. The owner is very accommodating, offering to special order tropical fish not currently in stock. Definitely worth a look, especially if you're trying to "shop local."

I've been going to this local family owned pet shop for more years than I can remember. The staff are all excellent - friendly, knowledgeable. While they don't have as much stuff in stock as the big box stores, they carry have all the necessities (and a lot of the extras) for most all common pets from cats and dogs to rodents, birds, and fish. And if they don't have it in stock, they'll get it for you with a smile!If you go, be sure to say hi to Baby, their green parrot that lives in the store at the cash register. If you're lucky, he'll say hi back!

GREAT pet store! Definitely the best in the area, and I mean the whole of central MA. Owners are friendly, helpful, honest, and knowledgeable. If you are looking for a small animal companion, get it here, I cannot stress this enough. All are either bred in house or gotten through screened reputable breeders, hand tamed over time, and well taken care of. Birds, fish, rodents, insects, reptiles, etc. and all their supplies at dang good prices. Absolutely visit them STAT.

I have been coming here for what feels like my whole life. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I was there recently to buy some tropical fish and the guy there caught the exact fish I was after.. Highly skilled with the net!!! Id recommend coming here to support local business over the big box pet stores. It shows that they care and thats what truly matters. Bonus: they have cute hampsters that even have their birthdays noted :)

Pam was Great! Bought my autistic son a hermit crab for his 1st pet and she set us up! Special love! So his sister and him now have Mario and Princess Peach. Would recommend them they have a really elaborate selection of pet supplies for a variety of pets. Thank you! Will be using them as our regular pet store for now on!

Awesome little Mom and Pop pet shop. They were super friendly and knowledgeable when purchasing a rabbit for my daughter. They really care for the animals there, and it shows in the temperament of the animals. I've had a couple rabbits growing up and none were as friendly as our little guy we brought home.

Owners are super nice and easy to talk to. No dogs or cats. They specialize in fish, birds, rodents and some reptiles. I would much rather come here and know that the animals are well taken care of and the owners and knowegable instead of one of the box stores and wonder if the critters have the attention that they need.Prices are reasonable, and store is big enough for a decent inventory, but no so big that there is loads of extraneous stock that no one needs.

The store owner here made us feel so welcome. We were looking for a bunny, there were none currently but he took us all around the store. He was very knowledgeable and even introduced us to his talking bird!

Very nice family-owned pet store. Everything seems high quality and all the animals have large, clean enclosures! They have unique products and animals you wouldn't be able to find at a chain store like PetSmart or Petco, and the staff are friendly and experienced.
