Pharmacy is awful. Look at this line waiting to pickup prescriptions and I stood there for 15min and it never moved. Maybe CVS needs to pay better and maybe they could get some help. I feel so bad for the one person working.

My husband and I came here for flu shots, and only AFTER administering the shots did the pharmacist tell us that our insurance (the information for which we had provided well in advance, and which a pharmacist had told me on the phone was accepted) would not cover the shots at this pharmacy. We had to pay out of pocket on the spot and our insurance claims have been denied. I have spent weeks getting tossed around to various CVS representatives to no avail. Insurance information needs to be checked BEFORE vaccine administration, not after. Be careful if you get any vaccinations at this pharmacy.

You will wait for an eternity. The poor staff are always in the weeds. No one answers the phone. They misplace important prescriptions. The line is always up the aisles. They are closed for 1.5h in the middle of the day. They hustle but no one knows what’s going on. You will wait FOREVER for someone to be available to help you, then they won’t be able to help you. CVS corporate has seemingly abandoned this branch and are not supporting their employees. Go to literally any other pharmacy. I have come here up to five times in one day trying to get one thing filled. Just abandon this store.

I feel sorry for their employees. CVS corporate treats them like slaves, Writes them up for the stupidest things, And give them no recognition for good work. If you ever get someone on the phone try as hard as you can to be nice. Its not their fault. They hate their jobs because of the company, Not us.

My husband had just been released from the hospital and needed to get home. I went to the CVS drive up in Ipswich - rang the buzzer and was told by electronic voice I would be helped shortly. Fifteen minutes passed three buzzes later I went inside and left my husband in the car. There was a line of 4 people and when it was my turn they told me the drive up was closed because it was too busy and was normally open at this time. When I asked why they didn’t put a closed sign up the worker explained they were too busy to put up a sign…..arghhhh!!

It is shocking to me that after all of the negative reviews, this store continues to be the worst pharmacy I have ever experienced. It makes me conclude that CVS does not care about quality or the patient. That is a terrible way to run a healthcare company.

Wanted to pick no stars. Lady with glasses behind the register at the pharmacy is so rude and unhelpful Looking right at me but will not acknowledge me and the rest are just laughing and looking the pictures in their cell phones Horrible business Not professional at all

If I could rate 0 stars I would. Scheduled a covid vaccine appointment and showed up at the scheduled time. There was a line of 12 people for the vaccines, which I thought was the pharmacy pick up line. The person at the front of the line had a 5:00 appointment and it was 6:20!! Absolutely abysmal service. The pharmacy closes at 7, so good luck to everyone else! I just walked right out. Never gonna book a vaccine through CVS ever again (that was my mistake to begin with, really)

There’s a common theme in the reviews which customers have excessive wait times. If you don’t believe that’s true, look at the screen shot.This store is understaffed often resulting in wait time (in-person or on the phone) to be excessive resulting at times the medication not being dispensed as written. For example, they’ll give you a 30 days supply versus 90 and for a few customers this results in a higher co-payment. The pharmacist will tell you it’s the insurance company or the prescribing provider but after spending a few hours calling them, you learn it’s the pharmacy. For me it’s not the first so when I pushed back, the pharmacist goes to the computer quietly and then tells it’ll be ready in an hour…WTF.The store is small making it difficult for some customers to navigate if they try to pass others.

This is the worst CVS I have ever been to. Despite the staff efforts, lines are incredibly slow and you can never get through on the phone. The store looks under construction although it not a new store. The staff are friendly and clearly working hard, but this store needs a major overhaul. I go out of my way to drive to stores that are farther away to avoid this CVS.

Manager is rude and incompetent. Extremely under-staffed. Have seen consumers yelled at from behind the desk. I always call before I go to make sure everything is ready and they consistently don't have prescriptions filled. Waited in parking lot for an hour for a scheduled Covid test (also verified all was a go before leaving house) and was told computer not working. If you're elderly, it's not a safe place to pick up a prescription as many sick people in the long, long lines coughing. It's a very stressful place to go especially when unwell and I will never be going there again.

Worst pharmacy. I waited in the Drive-Thru for 20 minutes after the pharmacy tech asked for my insurance card that I had already provided online with a photo. When I tried to get her attention to see what was wrong she ignored me and was rude. After all that they lost my Covid test. In addition, the pharmacy doesn't ever answer the phone. I was on hold for 30 minutes one day, 20 minutes the next, and 20 minutes again before each time giving up and hanging up. From now on I will go elsewhere for a Covid test and will shop elsewhere.Now I am sitting in my car to have a retest for the covid test that they lost, and they just told me the system that their system is down and I can't do the test! I would expect the company the size of CVS could do much better. Shame on them!

Greatly disappointed in the service at this pharmacy. I was given the wrong medication even after I tried to explain that there were two scripts for similar but different medications. My doctor tried to get through multiple times before I got there to straighten things out with the pharmacy but they did not answer the phone and there wasn’t a voicemail box for them to leave a message. When a customer has a question or concern I suggest the people working there actually take the time to explain what the medication is rather than just flashing the label on the bag. And maybe get a voicemail set up for prescribing doctors to leave messages if the pharmacy staff can’t be bothered to answer the phone.

Worst pharmacy I've ever dealt with. The pharmacy manager is a unprofessional jerk. Rite Aid was so much better before CVS came into town. They never answer the phone and have the customer service skills of a wet cat. Got berated by the manager tonight in front of other patrons. I left the store crying. I've never been treated so poorly in public in my life.

Worst pharmacy ever. Every time I use it they wait times are obnoxious and then there was today when my doctors office called in a prescription, I went in like 2 hours later knowing I’d be lucky if it was ready by then but the kicker is, they didn’t even have the medication, nor did they call me to inform me and they didn’t even care no apology or anything. So now it’s after hours for my doctors office and I have to wait until tomorrow to call them and have the script transferred to another pharmacy. Medication that I need is not available and no calls to inform me, way to go Ipswich CVS Pharmacy.

Pretty rude, probably because they are busy as the only pharmacy in the town. Unfortunately they also don't have an automated system that calls you when your prescriptions are ready...like other major pharmacy chains. I find the reminder useful as a forgetful person with brain damage. Also since I'm not a mind reader I can't tell when they are done being filled without calling. I was advised to download and use the CVS app. I guess I don't want to.Update: 20-30 minute hold times to request refills have improved considerably!They are still very busy, it seems faster to park and go in, than wait at the drive up window.

Scheduled a COVID test for today at 11am, and just before my scheduled appointment CVS cancelled my COVID test appointment. Apparently they cancelled all appointments today until 2pm because the Pharmacist just didn’t show up to work. The staff apologized and told me that the pharmacist would show up in the next 10-15 minutes. 30 minutes later (4.5 hours after the pharmacy was suppose to already be open) the pharmacist showed up, didn’t seem to care. Incredibly rude.

We had a very good experience getting our COVID booster at CVS Ipswich. No wait time. Going back there for flu shots. Had a slight scheduling issue with my computer but only had to call them and it was sorted.

If I could give them no stars I would. After standing in line to checkout for 10 minutes some lady walks in the door and goes up to the register and asks for her pictures. The associate didn’t tell her to go to the end of the line like everyone else and rang her up. Apparently the rules aren’t for everyone. By the way I was going to pick up something for an elderly aunt that is 91. I guess my time is not as valuable as your other rude customers. This is why we never go to this cvs.

This pharmacy is awful. They close early all of the time. They closed two hours early this Friday. As I was walking in they were locking up. Yet I got a text saying my prescription would be ready at 6pm. Not to mention I was there the day prior and they told me it wouldn’t be ready until this evening.

Was on the phone for over 40 minutes waiting to get someone in the pharmacy. Hung up the phone to call a different pharmacy because they clearly don't know how to do their job in Ipswich. I would recommend going somewhere else if you dont want to waste your time.

Personally, I never had a problem. Got prescriptions, vaccines, and COVID tests at this place many times. The staff were always nice. The waiting lines can be long at times.

I've had good service from the pharmacy. Based on the other reviews, it seems there was a learning curve when this CVS branch first opened but they've been able to reliably fill my family's scripts.

After learning that a Covid Vacination was given out to a 22 year old in normal health because there significant other was employed there and there was extra doses available is completely unacceptable. How about the seniors and others with preexisting conditions that are waiting! THIS IS A MAJOR INFRACTION AND POLITICS HAS NO RIGHT IN THIS SITUATION.CVS SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THIS ACTION.
