Loved this place. We went there for apple picking and only three variety of apples were available to pick up. Great experience. Lot of place for parking. Nice thing about this place that you could bring your dog which usually not allowed on such places. We met one staff and asked many questions and he was very happy to share lot of information about the farm. He was truly dedicated staff and gained lot of insight. I definitely recommend.

I've been picking apples every fall at Doe Orchards for decades. This year, I discovered it was also the 'go to' place for a cut-your-own Christmas trees.Last year my wife and I went to cut a tree at an enormous farm in Rhode Island ("featured on the Today Show!"). We left, two hours later, without a tree. Why? Because there was nothing worth taking home.We knew Doe had cut-your-own trees and their photos looked enticing (but then so do all the other websites) and their price was competitive ($80). Armed with our own saw, we arrived at 10 a.m. the day after Thanksgiving. Twenty minutes later we were in the midst of Christmas Tree Paradise. We quickly found three perfect (to us) trees... and we are exceedingly picky. After selecting the best of the best, we cut it, carried it 200 feet to a hut where it was tagged with our name. A tractor pulling a flatbed took our tree to the baling station. Ten minutes later - at exactly 11 a.m. - the tree was tightly lashed to the top of our car for the hour-long drive home. And, lest you think we had the place to ourselves, think again: the place was mobbed. From now on, we know exactly where we're going for our tree. On top of the terrific selection, there is also a helpful staff that either truly enjoys what they're doing or else are great actors (I suspect the former). Thank you, Doe Orchards, for getting our Christmas off to a terrific start!

We were looking for a pet friendly apple orchard and we found a great one. The staffs were friendly and still lot of apples to be picked. The best part is seeing a lots of furry friends all over the orchard. This orchard is not as big as other but it wasn't as busy as other farms that you literally have to fight people for apples. It was a super relaxed atmosphere. There is no entertainments here, so look elsewhere if you are into anything other than just picking apples. It was a nice stroll through the orchard and running into random furry friends with our dog. There is no bathroom here except a few portable toilets, but they are clean. We will be back next year!

This is a gem of an orchard. Huge, peaceful, plentiful. There were half a dozen varieties of apples all ready for picking in mid-September. Affordable and delicious. I highly recommend the courtland variety!

We go apple picking here every year and love the calm ambience, the open fields, the vast selection of quality apples, the friendly help, the easy parking, and the reasonable prices. All in all, a wonderful way to spend 2-3 hours with the kids to welcome fall.

Love this place. It's a hidden gem for orchards and pick your own apples. It's never crowded and the quality of fruit is top notch. It's not the spectacle place where you have cider doughnuts and hay rides and petting zoo and that's okay.

Great blueberries and LOTS of them. I was able to pick a full container in about 20 minutes. Lovely flavor, now it's time to get baking!

I love to bring my dog here! The gala apples are my favorite. This is a pretty chill place and you can also meet other dogs. Its different from other orchards because there are no activities like hay rides or pumpkin picking. But you can buy apples and apple cider. They don't have apple cider donuts though.

We had a good experience here apple picking. As it was late in the season, we had to walk most of the grounds to find some Honeycrisp trees that weren't totally picked over, but got enough to fill a large bag. They also make good cider.

My family has been enjoying Doe Orchards for decades! This is our most favorite tradition!! We roam through the beautiful orchards, picking our favorite apples and then take a huge family pic at “the rock. We go back to our parking place where we tailgate and have an amazing brunch… which we share with some of the Doe Orchard family. Truly a great family experience!! Thank you Doe Orchards for allowing generations of our family to make everlasting memories ❤️

It's a great place for picking apple. Nice staffs and awesome atmosphere. Not crowded at all and plenty of apple varieties to pick.Update: I don't usually go back and update on my reviews unless there are some significant changes, this, is an exception. Just went apple picking again last Sunday (09/17) after a few years off due to Covid-19. Same great atmosphere, friendly staff, friendly policy, plenty of apples to pick. I was aiming for the Honeycrisp and Fuji where ones ripe in early Sept and the other in early Oct, I picked somewhere in the middle and it didn't disappoint me, there was plenty of Honeycrisp left and a lot of Fuji to pick. Anyway, another solid 5-star orchard. Keep it up!

Even in 2020, Doe Orchards is really nice. Seriously consider it. Tips:Website - Doe has a great website that it updates at least once a week. Check what is picking that week, review the map and skim the Covid guidelines. There are little features about the rocks, odd facts and history.Go Soon - The honeycrisp apples and peaches are amazing. Buy them pre-picked if you need to. You can pick other apples. The peck bag is a good deal. The stand has limited options but they are worth it (ex: fruit, honey). September is a great month to go. Not too busy, lots of options and great weather to explore the orchards.Keep it Simple - Doe is user-friendly, straight-forward and 100% worth it. It is easy to drive to and find. Parking is a breeze. It is a mid-size operation. Just pretty orchards, a little stand and few cheerful staff. The apples are very good and easy to access.Have a Plan - Spend a little time figuring out the trunk color scheme to find your favorite apples and ask "Where is a good place to pick today?" before you leave the stand.A+ activity, especially in 2020. Please be nice to staff and others. Keep the good vibe at Doe Orchards going.

Great fresh blueberries were picked here. Gonna make some sweet blueberry pies out of them. Always love supporting local farms, especially when they let you pick as many blueberries as you want. The people are nice there and if you have a question about any of their produce they answer nicely. You get about 6 cups of blueberries out of the small bins they give you as long as you fill them to the top. Also their white peaches are delicious and totally worth it, tempts me to make a pie out of those as well.

Been going to Doe Orchards for apple picking several years now. What we love the most is that its APPLE PICKING...no bounce houses, corn mazes, rides, etc....its not a chaotic, circus-like amusement park many places have become.Great apples with plenty of lush trees. Its dog friendly also.Pack a picnic and enjoy doe orchards.

A great place to take the family apple picking. Good prices, delicious honey and jam and not over crowded. It's huge and provides a wide variety of apples. It's also one of the few orchards that provides bathrooms and a places to wash your hands. It's also pretty close to Kimball's ice cream which is our family's favorite ice cream place.

On the way home from Salem, we decided to stop by here and it was lovely. The orchards are beautiful and very peaceful to walk through. The staff is very friendly and gave us lots of tips about things to do and where to eat in the area. Definitely recommend stopping here!

So many apples!!! There were so many to choose from and at a decent price. They give you the bag you wish to purchase, small for $19 and large for $36 and then you go walk around and collect. They mark the trees with a color so you know which apple it is. I brought my children and they loved it!

Pristine orchards with pick your own blueberries. They have raspberries earlier in the summer and peaches followed by apples. Very nice staff and many varieties of blueberries to pick. They also sell jam and honey as well as fruit that had already been picked for you.
