We are thrilled with our decision to hire Mel and the team at Black Sheep to cater our 75-person wedding. The entire process - from the first call down to the last bite - was exceptional. Mel was extremely flexible, worked within our budget, and made us feel taken care of the entire time. The food was absolutely outstanding! We received countless compliments from our guests about everything from cocktail hour to the main course. Not only was the food delicious, but the portions were generous. The team also performed extremely well under weather challenges (the day featured torrential rain and wind). Highly, highly recommend Black Sheep for your next event!

Mel and the Black Sheep team made us feel special from the moment we first spoke to them about catering our 275-person wedding and they exceeded all expectations. We wanted to intermix New England, Mid-Atlantic, and Italian fare and the team brought their own ideas to knock it out of the park. We had many people say it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. There were many highlights but some that especially stood out were the raw bar, grazing table, and ensuring our vegetarian guest felt taken care of. Mel and her team also made sure we actually got to eat the apps and entrees at our wedding which was one of our favorite parts of the day! We could not say enough great things about their customer service, creativity, and execution.

I love everything about this shop ! The food is delicious and consistently good but also creative with new specials every day and the desserts are out of this world ! The store is beautiful with lots of reasonably priced merchandise and best of all is the amazing staff that is always so helpful and makes you feel so welcome.

ThexBlack Sheep is the cutest shop...and the garden salad I bought was delicious...and I am very picky about my salads! But the lady behind the plexiglass was a complete grump...and a bit snarly when I asked for a fork and a bag. Get someone else to work the register and you have found a delightful little place for food and gifts!

A great spot to grab a gourmet lunch in Edgartown! The food is delicious and as a bonus for me, their front porch is dog-friendly. When I'm walking my puppy in town, I can clip him up outside of Black Sheep and run in to choose my lunch while he enjoys shade and fresh water. Sometimes they even have a treat for my pup! I eat here regularly when I'm in town and highly recommend it!

Dissppointed in takeout Thanksgiving dinner... Accepted response that we were too late to order turkey and agreed to three chicken halves instead, but were surprised to find that it came with turkey, not chicken, gravy. In addition, the stuffing was tasteless, and the mashed potatoes were lumpy. Never again for $110.00!
