I did a lot of research looking for my second West German Long Haired GSD. I wanted an adult or older puppy which was very difficult to find across the country. I did come across Golden Ridge Farms and started talking to Lauryn. I quickly realized she was very knowledgable, had much experience and was genuinely caring. She holds very high standards for her dogs, for both temperment and breed specific qualities. My new 11 month female puppy, though at her third forever home now, and of no fault of her own, is so well-adjusted, sweet and gentle. She is so easy to train and learns very quickly. She is very intelligent, playful, goofy and gives the greatest body hugs. She has been a complete joy to have for me and my family's life. She has been sociallized very well to get along with other dogs, and other people. I can not recommend Lauryn and her dogs highly enough as this experience has totally changed my life for the better. She will work with you to find your perfect match.

I purchased my first ever puppy from Lauryn at Golden Ridge and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Lauryn was so knowledgeable about the breed and her dogs. But more than that, you could tell how much she really cared for and loved every single dog she helped to raise. She let me visit the puppy before go-home day so that I could get to know him and his mom. I was so impressed with the welping set-up she has. Everything is so sanitary and well cared for. I. left toys and a tee shirt that smelled like me to start adjusting mom and puppy to my scent. When I brought the little guy home, he was almost completely potty trained and very well adjusted to life in his new home. The go-home package includes everything you need for your first night and then some! My vet was equally impressed with the way Lauryn sets new puppy parents up for success. Even after I took the dog home, Lauryn has stayed in touch and helped with any random questions I‘ve had. When the time comes for puppy number 2, I know exactly where I’m going!

She works really hard at matching the puppies with the right family. She spent over an hour on our initial conversation answering all my questions. She is very knowledgeable about the breed. Lauryn has been amazing to me since the first day I spoke to her over the phone about our puppy Ripken, she was very fast to connect with and explained in a lot of detail everything and how she breeds her German shepherds. You can truly tell she loves this breed and her job. She gives you samples of food and probiotics she used to acclimate your puppy at home. Lauryn has even gone far enough as to speak with me whenever I have a question about our puppy Ripken or if we need help with anything and is very fast to respond. She seemed very down to earth when it came to her family and doing this for a living. I can tell Ripken is an exceptional breed from Golden Ridge Farms and this is where I will now go to for any future purchase with another German Shepherd. Finding a new puppy can be a daunting task. Before settling with Golden Ridge Shepherds I talked to many breeders, but none that really sat well with me.As soon as I started talking to Lauryn I knew instantly in her voice that she was confident with her program and shepherds.I picked a puppy from her Yupp x Xari litter and couldn’t be happier with my pupps temperament & overall structural conformation. Our family has had German Shepherd's for years and after our last girl passed and we moved to a new house we felt it was time to find a new pup. My wife and I have raised German Shepherds for over 50 years. We recently replaced our dearest departed friend Benson, a gorgeous West German line German Shepherd. I have been following Lauryn on You Tube videos for some time and was thoroughly attracted to the kennel. I decided to give her a call to discuss a new puppy. Lauryn was such a delightful knowledgeable breeder that i knew i called the right placed. We took a 12 hour drive from southern Illinois to Maryland to purchase a puppy. As expected Lauryn was awesome and the kennel beautiful. We fell in love with the chosen puppy and in fact my wife insisted on a second puppy. The transaction was extremely professional. We have had our puppies now for 3 months and could not be more pleased. We have frequent communication with follow ups. I strongly recommend Golden Ridge and Lauryn if you seek a great puppy and friends for life.

We searched on line for German Shepherd Breeders from New Hampshire to Florida and Ohio to the East Coast the search took about a week and to our surprise the Breeder we selected was 15 minutes from the house.We took our puppy home two weeks ago, we informed Lauren that we wanted a fairly mellow puppy and knowing puppies as well as we do, Bella is our third Shepherd it's hard to know at 8 weeks old what their temperament will be but so far she is everything we wanted and more.We highly recommend Lauren and Golden Ridge Farm German Shepherds she is knowledgeable and cares so much about the puppies and who she is allowing to adopt one. The contract you sign is a wonderful guide line to follow for the health of the puppy.Bella now 10 weeks old, feels completely at home, she has a wonderful personality and loves working with my Wife, The puppies had started basic training while at Golden Ridge. Bella is so smart. She knows her name, knows go outside and sit, we are working every day on leash training coming on command, heal, paw and lay down which at the pace she is going, it won't be long.I could go on with several more sentences, paragraphs but you have to purchase a puppy to be able to see for yourself. We are thinking about getting Bella a playmate in 6 months to a year and we will be going to Lauren and Golden Ridge Farm for our next puppy.

I’ve wanted a German Shepherd for a while now and my husband and I knew that we would likely get one this coming Spring. During his research he came across Golden Ridge Farm and reached out to them. Lauren was absolutely amazing! I have never met a breeder who gave so much information about the puppies. She explained what it meant that they breed to the German standard and why it’s important, especially in a house with young kids. After talking to her he was blown away and we scheduled a visit. We had our youngest son with us because it’s important that he’s able to bond with whatever dog we planned to get. We got out to the farm and they had four little pups available. My eyes immediately went to Max and Max immediately took to our son. All the pups were so sweet and you could tell immediately how smart they were. They speak German and English! LOL… Who would’ve thought? Anyway, Max and our son bonded so quickly and Lauren was so welcoming and took the time out to really talk about the pups with us and we were completely sold! We intended to get a pup in the spring because it’s cold and really, who wants to potty train a puppy in this weather? But we couldn’t, wouldn’t pass up this opportunity! We brought Max home a few days before Christmas and what do you know? He was completely crate trained! He hasn’t had an accident in the crate once since he came home! Only a few accidents in the house but he’s getting better at that too! Lauren has been instrumental in a sweeping any questions we have and has responded fairly quickly. We would recommend Golden Ridge Farm over and over again and when it’s time for a new puppy, this is where we will be going!

This breeder is AMAZING! I wouldn’t go anywhere for a German Shepherd. From the first phone call (where she took 45 minutes to answer all the questions I had…and didn’t know I had) until the day I brought my baby home she has been so great. She is unbelievably knowledgeable and was so patient in explaining things about the breed. She also conducted temperament testing to ensure I received the right puppy for my family. When I brought the puppy home she was already crate trained, she listened amazing well and walks well on a leash. She is only 3 and a half months old and is such a love. I am still in contact with this breeder and she is so responsive to answer all my questions so that I can raise a happy healthy puppy. Again, she is AMAZING and I plan to use her in the future when I am ready for my next fur baby.
