Went to get ice cream that was on sale. Only had 3 different flavors. Very disappointing. If you have something on sale make sure you have a good supply. Lot of empty shelves in freezer

One of the smaller Food Lions that I've been in. Carries the basics and some hard to find specialty items. Store is clean and the staff is very herlpful.

Thank you for your personal touch of having cashiers to check out. Also courteous employees in the store in different departments. We miss our Food Lion store in Smithsburg and do make the trip to Thurmont at least once a month and enjoy our shopping experience there. Thank you too all your employees and please keep the personal touch.

I've been in and out of Thurmont since before the millennium dropped! The poor store has seen it all. But, they have been given a remarkable facelift, and not only does the store look better, the employees seem to be happier and more helpful as well! For example, when asked about a product, the employee actually went into the back to look for it instead of just telling me they were out of stock!Thank you for the fantastic customer service! :)

Not a good variety of food options if you search online for their weekly flyer sales 9x out of 10 its not going to be on sale in store, even if you put the correct location. And dont show a cashier that on your phone Employees are rude will tell you well guess its not on sale get something else. Weis is a better option even walmart

I love this little store. They don't always have items that you would find in a more cosmopolitan area, but it's well stocked and clean. The prices are very reasonable, and the customer perks are great! The employees are always very nice and helpful.My only concerns are the liberal use of plastic bags! Also, I don't know why some vegetables need to be wrapped in plastic.

So much better than Weis!!! There's actual cashiers, no lines, no angry people, improved organic selection, now all they need is a better deli, seafood, and meat department and I'm all over it! I do mean that though, I prefer any grocery store that doesn't FORCE you into self checkout with the cashiered lines backed up down the aisles. HATING WEIS!

We been shopping here for 10 plus years and never a issue until today it's pouring outside and like everyone else we pulled our car up front to load our very large grocery cart. The lady was bringing carts in and didn't realize I was waiting on my husband who was pulling the car up. She was complaining to someone else about having to bring the carts in I am assuming the boy who usually does it was out today. Well when my husband starts to pull the car up she started saying some very nice things about how he can't do that I had my daughter with me and this lady called my husband an @sshole in front of my daughter so she obviously didn't realize we were all together until she came back out for more carts I told my daughter to get in the car and told the lady that we aren't the only ones who pull up to load groceries like this and how I didn't appreciate her tone in front of my child. Very poor experience I have never had an associate ot there be so disrespectful.

This store actually has people to check you out and seem to want your business , not like the other store in town who want to pay someone to watch you check yourself out and bag your own groceries, won't be going back to that other place

I really enjoy shopping at Food Lion in Thurmont Md. This store always has a great selection of most anything that you are searching for. Their store-made subs are substantial and better than what I have purchased at other grocery stores. I also enjoy finding the "hidden gems"- those items not listed as on sale but a bargain nonetheless.

Food Lion of Thurmont Maryland is the best grocery store I've ever been in by far!. By best I mean, it was super clean, and the vegetables were fully stocked, and shiny, bright vibrant colors, nothing seemed old. The deli, and bakery were all stocked nicely, and everything looked in place, and actually made you hungry looking at it. The meat was wrapped tight, and looked bright red, and fresh. Everything was fully stocked.All the other aisles were fully stocked, and the items were pulled, and fronted. It looked SO GOOD in that store that I told the cashier how wonderful it looked in there. I have never been to a grocery store that was that perfect. Even the floors were spotless!Keep up the excellent work Food Lion of Thurmont!If I could give more than 5 stars, I definitely would! HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOOD LION IN THURMONT. A+++++

While the store is smaller than others and carries less fresh produce, for example, than I would like, the prices are reasonable at worst, and at best, phenomenal! Check out the meat cases for "Manager's Specials," meats marked down for quick sale, often less than half price. We've stockpiled our freezer with great cuts of beef and pork that we normally couldn't afford to buy.

I find the layout of the store easy to work through. I find the employees to be pleasant and helpful. My negative is that they don't carry some items that I enjoy; and some items are priced higher than at other stores.

LEAH, some sort of manager is rude! screamed at me in front of my grandchildren when she had made a couple mistakes and tried to blame me for her errors. cussing in the front of the store on sunday when church lets out! way to go LEAH

Prices are good but some front store employees always seem to be in a horrible mood. One of the managers there is awful and horribly rude to people. She is very degrading, short with people and snappy. Produce isn't always fresh and sometimes looks like it's been sitting out for weeks.

Cashier should worry about customer service not how he looked and learn how to bag products. Bloody meats don't go with anything and frozen don't go with produce and nothing gets put on top of cupcakes to mash them not very smart.

One of their medium-sized stores you can get in and out quickly, no lines. Clean and organized. Don't get your hopes up for high quality fruits and veggies. Efficient friendly staff.
