Came in to get some dogfood and saw one of the dog groomers in the window grooming a dog. She was Caucasian and very skinny with dark hair. She was very aggressive with the dog she was grooming and grabbing its neck and was very agitated. I felt bad for the dog. I would never want that lady to come within 10 ft of my dog. I definitely would not recommend bringing your dog in here to be groomed. Poor dog!

Nikki at the Eldersburg Md grooming salon is wonderful! She is so good with my Mia. When the day comes to take Mia to get groomed, I just say let’s go see Nikki, Mia starts talking to me and jumps around in the back seat until we get inside and see Nikki. She is a true asset to your company! ❤️

Everyone is always helpful at Petco. I usually only call the aquatic department, because all I have are my fish. They have helped me when I needed help with invasive snails, and gave me good information to help with the issue. And, Miss Lilith is a very honest woman and very helpful when it comes to aquatic needs.

Overall, a good selection for pet needs. Can find better deals online with instore pick up vs. just buying in the store. Staff is always friendly and helpful.

Went to return at item tonight at 7:30pm, they close at 8pm. The Zoomer at the front was absolutely put out he had to restart the computers and credit card machines to conduct commerce. "No one was coming in, I thought I might go home early." Great job, managers. Way to pay attention to your employees, great work ethic you're teaching.

Very friendly staff. Helpful in suggesting a similar item for freeze dried raw food. Has a decent selection. Groomer was also wonderful with my dog and was able to take a later grooming appointment.

Many times you have 1 or 2 people working and you wait so long to be helped but no body to help. Because, the only associate attends to customers at the register and no person to help you on the floor. And to use your rewards is impossible, you will be referred to retrieve your rewards online, now you are stuck to get it. Not every customer is literate to use computer. And if you can, they make it so complicated, and frustrating, then you say just forget it. But, I never had issue with the associates.

Just be aware, they charge an additional $30 to groom your dog, on top of whatever package you choose (because "they can").

I’ve been here 3 times in the last 4 weeks. Every night was a different set of workers with the absolute worst bedside manner. They stare at you like you came in without clothes on as you’re shopping. I have literally never had someone look so disgusted by my mere presence (I didn’t even “bother” them, I was buying pre packaged plants and rocks).The cashier with the black hair and the bangs is very pleasant however! Granted she’s the only 1 of 6 I’ve met I can say that about.Plant selection is OK, their Imagitarium mosses that come pre packaged are 80% dead and disintegrating but I think that might just be how they were shipped. The Betta fish also look kind of rough, but again I wonder if that has more to do with shipping and where they came from vs storage on the floor. Several cups do however have dead/dying fish in them with some kind of mold/growth frosting the interior of the cup and making it hard to see.

I went there today and their small pet bedding pricing has increased over $10.00 a bag! And their stock of items in general is limited. I ended up going to the “ other big name” pet store and they never raised their prices. It’s a shame they are making it more and more expensive to own pets. We want people to adopt pets but it has gotten so expensive few people can afford to do so.

Placed an online order and made a call and was told I could pick it up before 8pm when they close. Got to the door 5 minutes before closing and they lock the door and I knock, they answer I said I have an online order and they check they say it’s not available I said it was placed about 20 minutes ago please double check they say its not registering in their system and will not be available until the morning. But during the ordering call they said they’d stay open till I got my pet food. Pretty disappointing that they blame the computer system for not being able to help a customer.

Went to pick up a pack of Purina pro fortiflora SA on saturday because it said in stock at this store online, however when I got to the store, an employee told me it was not off the pallette yet. When asked if it could be grabbed so that I can purchase it, I was told it would be stocked by Monday evening at the latest. I was a little shocked to here that it would take 2 and a half full days to get the item onto the shelves but decided to be patient and wait. My wife went back on Tuesday only to find it had not been stocked yet. She showed a picture of the product to an employee who grabbed the regular Purina pro fortiflora, and said that was the product. So at the employees direction, we bought the wrong product. Now I have to go somewhere to purchase the correct product. We will be avoiding this store at all costs from now on. Do yourself a favor and shop online elsewhere.

Good pet store with a lot to choose from. Location is ideal for the area. Shares a parking lot with other businesses, so parking is limited. A bit pricey compared to the other major pet store and they have more unrecognizable brands. Staff was nice and helpful. If you want your pet to have high end food and accessories, this is the place to go.

So disappointed with the staff here. A lady was looking for a specific brand of food for her diabetic cat RECOMMENDED BY HER VET and the staff told her that brand was bad along with another brand and was trying to push her to buy a newer brand that she had never heard of. Thankfully she had the guts to stick with what her vet told her and left. You should never make a dietary suggestion over a veterinary prescription diet…..you should be ashamed.

The store is your average Petco, lots of stuff, somewhat overpriced but convenient. If you shop, bring ear plugs due to the volume of the sound system . Annoying when you can carry a normal conversation at times.The one really bright spot is Joe the trainer. He has been a Godsend in dealing with our 1 year old Husky. Sadly I found out he is leaving due to the store due to current (mis) management.

Always under stocked on first aide and shampoo for dogs. But leashes and pet clothing is usually super stocked and put together. I usually only stop by for urgent items so it's pretty frustrating. At times the smaller Walmart selection is better.

This store has a group of very knowledgeable staff. Adam and Abbey were a huge help. Adam goes over the top to make sure your pet has what it needs. Adam helped me figure out what was happening in my aquarium and worked with me to make a plan for corrections. Best store I've been to and will continue to go there for any pet needs. Thanks again!

12/27/22 Update: The staff is great, however the price policies are terrible. If ypu purchase in the store it is al.ost 10% higher than the online price for the dog food ($68 in the store for easy math). Also 2 online retailers were still a little cheaper, but seeing the online pricing was close enough went to the store while already in the area. Won't make that mistake again. This is why some store will not survive. Because they are short staffed is why I did not make a issue at the store. One cashier and a line, not thier fault.A bit expensive but they did have what we needed. They seem to be carrying mostly their own brand for harnesses. You need to bring the mutt with you, you don't waste time and money on items that don't work.

Extremely fast response in getting my order ready - really like 5 minutes from when I placed the order to when I got the email telling me that it was ready. Courteous and prompt delivery to our car when we arrived for pickup - (Andrew, I think). Love the fact that especially during these crazy times, I have the confidence to know that even if I start to run short on dog food and supplies, I can get them quickly and safely from my Eldersburg Petco. Thanks to all the employees there!

Staff is polite, professional and very knowledgeable. Offers a variety of services including puppy playtime and dog training, as well as grooming and vet care. I have taken several dog training classes and each have been wonderful with great trainers & I am planning to continue with their classes. Staff is quick to welcome you & offer assistance. Recommend this store for your pets' products, food & classes.
